"...Midway through the evening, Melksham?s Nishe hit the stage with the Nicolas Cage-look-a-like vocalist singing through a magaphone. A highly proficient set and one of the most original bands on the bill. "

03.11.02 MOLES BOTB 2002 REVIEW
"The first band up was Nishe, who were impressive. The elements are there and you wanted to go up to them and say "don't lose heart, come back next year and kick butt." Nishe had a very strong bassist, not flashy but really anchored the band rhythmically. Solid, man. The goateed guitarist was effective too, his sonic coloration giving the music great ambient depth and surreal spaciness. The songs had plenty of arrangement, but don't worry, Brett Andersen was this way in the beginning, and probably still is. "
