Kenisia Kenisia are a band of Ska-punk / Skate punk idiots from
Bristol. Forming in 1996, they have been consistently gigging and have
influences ranging from Operation Ivy to Sepultura. 2001 saw the release of
their first album 'Crash Helmet Hoopla' on Trash City Records gaining great
reviews from fanzines and press. In 2002 the release of the bands second album
'Nothing to Say', on Household Name records, was the first time they'd recorded
a whole album together and has since acquired some great reviews. Website :

Reviews: Nothing
to say - Rock Sound, Oct 02(3/5) Coming
across as a lighter version of Link 80, the Bristolian septet churn out
bottled-up ska energy at a rampant pace. Gaining recognition of late as they
tour up and down the country with Household Name label buddies, Kenisia are
successfully making a name for themselves in the UK ska-punk scene. Alongside
the likes of Lightyear, Capdown and Jesse James in their ever-growing
popularity, Kenisia can be expected to climb the same ladder which they have,
in an area that continues to thrive. Nothing to Say is an upbeat
second offering, alternating a screaming brass section with chunky guitars.
With tracks like Girls Got Nothing To Say and Klit
roaring with energy, its safe to say Kenisia do their rock
songs best. Not entirely original, but sure to have ska fans dosing up on yet
another burst of infectiousness.
