Jefferson St. in Louisville. She apparently lived there while she was
being treated.
NOTE: This Elizabeth Ferguson was actually Lizzie Vandiver Ferguson

Sarah was asked nearing her death if she had any regrets. She stated that she had none and that if she had her life to live over she would not change a thing. She did state that she wished that her second family life was as happy as her first. She was buried on 25 Sep 1940 in Grayson Co., Kentucky. She was described as prob 5' 9" tall, 114 #. Sarah J. She was described as tall (taller than her son, Arthur), thin, fair complexion with sharp features. It is said that if you look upon Arthur, Bunyon, or Lizzy that she had the same features. Parents: Mark Likens and Lucinda Autry.

She was married to William J. "Will" Vandiver on 14 Aug 1890 in Ohio Co., Kentucky. Jan 22, 2000

IN REPLY:
During our telephone conversation last week ca. 14 Jan 2000. Our Sarah Jane and her parents were listed on the Ohio Co., Ky Census. If the Likens were there in the late 1790's there may be some Revolutionary War Pension info available, and/or there may be land grant info available. Remember Western Ky was left for Revolutionary Land Grants until the early 1800's. Just something to look at. - LA Warren

I am attempting to trace the Likens lineage of our Great-Grandmother, Sarah Jane Likens. Do you know the county in which the household of Mark Likens and Lucinda Autry was located for the 1880 U S census.

I am attaching a small file that I began this week; however, I have no connecting links. Do you have any info. on William and/or Mark Likens of Warren Co., Ky?
They were there in the late 1790s thru the early 1800s.

I believe we will find her Likens lineage will go back to the 1650s In New Sweden.
