As a Jedi Knight on the usually Masters-only
High Council, Ki-Adi-Mundi was powerful indeed. The Cerean later became a Master himself, and grew even stronger in the Force during the Seperatist crisis.
A contemplative, quick-witted Jedi, Ki-Adi-Mundi was a member of the conical-headed, double-hearted Cerean species. Because of the low birthrate among Cereans, Ki-Adi was exempt from the Jedi rule which forbade marriage, taking a bond wife and four honour wives on Cerea, where he fathered seven daughters. Ki-Adi-Mundi was assigned to Master Yoda upon his introduction to the Jedi Order, though his strong presence in the Force was originally picked up by the
Dark Woman. He returned to Cerea to help rid his world of maurading raiders, and later tracked down the ex-Jedi, Sharad Hett, on Tatooine - whereupon he took Sharad's son, A'Sharad, as his padawan when Hett was killed by Aurra Sing.
    During the crisis over
Naboo, Ki-Adi-Mundi - still a Jedi Knight - had taken a seat on the Jedi Council after the death of Micah Giett, and was present when Qui-Gon Jinn revealed he had been attacked by a warrior he believed was a Sith Lord. Ki-Adi was quick to point out the Sith had been extinct for a millennium, but later changed his views when Qui-Gon was slain by the dark warrior. In the ten years after the Battle of Naboo, Ki-Adi-Mundi became a Jedi Master, and was one of the two hundred Jedi sent to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ki-Adi fought bravely, but only just escaped with his life as the Jedi were surrounded by battle droids. Ki-Adi played a part in the many battles that followed, but he was killed near the end of the Clone Wars, along with many of his peers.
