| On the Maroni River. In
the Guianese forest, with river trips to Indian or Boni villages along the
river. Simple lodging, good creole cooking. Accessible only by plane or
river. 2 days for round trip visit by plane, 3 or 4 days to go by plane
and return via the river to Saint-Laurent, 4-5 days to go by river from
Saint-Laurent and return by plane.
We were going to try to make a trip down
there (2004) but "work" prevented us from making the trip. Maybe next
time... |
