Camopi, French Guiana |
I haven't
been there, no pics...
|
Camopi is an insolated
frontier village with Brazil. It is separated by the l'Oyapock River. The
population of Camopi is approximately 300 inhabitants on the village
itself and 1000 inhabitants with the surroundings. A landing strip allows
an access by air but is currently unutilized. If not, it is the dugout,
with the increase of l'Oyapock starting from St-George. Count on
approximately 4 to 5 hours of navigation in rain season, much more in dry
season, because of the many jumps to be crossed. |
