    TIPS ON TOES

    * Feet can be softened with a solution of glycerine and juice of lemon. Rub this on your feet every night and wear cotton socks. Do this until the feet softens. Always rub pumice stone and use milk to clear hard skin on feet .

    * First trim toenails, not from corners . Dip both feet in warm water and sit and relax for 10 mins. Scrub toe nails with nailbrush . Lift one foot up and use the pumice stone or foot scraper, to scrape out rough skin also under the sole .

    * Apply a generous dab of petroleum jelly or vaseline with flat end of the orange stick, on all toenails . Now go round each nail with the orange stick gently loosening the cuticle (dead skin) nudging it back . Then wrapthe stick with cotton, dip in water to moisten it and clean all around and under the nails .

    * Now apply petroleum jelly over the entire foot including the sole and ankle and massage it kneading, pinching and stroking . Finally put on nail polish, and clean all traces of jelly .

    * Exercise your toes by walking on toes for one minute and then rest on ankles . Do this 10 times .

    * CuticleCream : 3 tbsp. paraffin, 1/2 cup mineral oil, 1 tbsp. coconut oil. Boil 1 tbsp. glycerin . Slowly heat paraffin with the oils in a double boiler . Stir until blended. Add in glycerin and remove from heat. Let cool before using .

    * Supple toes make for comfortable feet . A tip from a dancer is to place one foot at a time on a milk bottle and roll it to the back of the heel . This strengthens feet at the same time .

Alternatively add a shampoo to warm water and soak your feet for 10 minutes. This will also improve the texture of the toenails. Mix a few drops of lemon juice in vaseline and apply gently on cracked heels. Scrub heels with a pumice stone while bathing. Use a good hand and body lotion on your feet too.

    *

Soak feet for 10 minutes in warm water to which salt has been added. Remove and scrub dry, especially between the toes. This is the easiest way to relax tired feet. In the case of a sprain add Epsom salt to the water for best results.
