MAKE-UP TIPS
The colours of the millennium for your lips, eyes and nails range from silvery lilacs to dark purples, from icy pinks to heavy bronzes to even shimmery greens. If you still haven�t caught on, the emphasis is on �glitter�, shine and sparkle.
1 - Mix colorless lip gloss or vaseline with eyeshadow and blend on lids for
a shiny sexy look .
2 - Brush dark blusher under jawline gets rid of any hint of flab or pudginess
makes a chiseled chin .
3 - Line lower lid with white eye pencil just above the lash line.... makes
eyes look bigger, brighter clearer .
4 - Open up eyes by drawing a tiny rounded hump in eyeliner on the lid just
above the pupil of your eye .
5 - Line eyes with a very thin black line all the way around them . Go over
line with coloured shadow or pencil .

6 - To make lips look fuller and sexier . Blend darkish shading in indention
just under the center of your lower lip .
7- Want your whole face to glow ? Brush pinky beige rouge all around hairline
. Blend it right into your hairline .
8 - Cheekbones stand out more if you stroke blusher diagonally under bone,
then blend pearly pink on bones itself .
9 - The quickest make-up is eye make-up . After base and blusher, brush soft
brown eyeshadow on upper lids and add mascara. Eyes will appear bigger .
10 -Your eye pencil will slide onto the skin more easily if you first warm it
on a lamp bulb . This favourite trick of top make-up artists helps to achieve a
soft, smudged look.
11-The powder should always be a shade lighter than foundation.
12-Cover stick for rings, red veins and little spots . It's colour should
match the colour of the foundation.
13-Never put on make up in poor, artificial light. It would be faster and
will also enable you to accurately judge your skin tones, if you apply it in
good, natural light .

14-For make up to last till the end of the day, loose,translucent powder
(that won't colour the skin) should be pressed on to the skin with a cotton
ball. The excess can be brushed away with a complexion or a blusher brush, in
downward strokes.
15-Your eyelashes cannot be made thicker, but by clever application of
mascara, you can achieve the effect. When applying face powder, dust your lashes
with it. Then, when you put mascara over them, lashes will lustrous.
16-Avoid wasting time in the morning rummaging through your make up kit.
Arrange, what you need, neatly on your dressing table and carry in your purse
only that which is needed to freshen your make-up----items like lip-gloss, a
hand mirror and maybe a blusher.
17-Don't throw away mascara when it is almost empty and starting to dry up. A
new one would be expensive. Add a few drops of baby oil to the tips of the
applicator and push it back into the tube. It will last for a few more
applications.

CAMOUFLAGING FAULTS
18-Don't attempt to reshape your lips. Faults can be helped by just playing
around with colour tones.
For big lips : outline just inside the natural line with a light colour and
fill in with slightly deeper tone.
For thin lips : Outline just outside the natural lipline, stopping a
little short of the corners. Fill in with a deeper colour.
For unbalanced lips : If your top lip is much narrower than the bottom, or
vice versa, the trick is to use two different shades, a darker one for the
thicker lip, a lighter one for the other - but be sure the tones match.
19- Nose : Too wide ? You can narrow a fat nose by blending dark make -up on
both sides.
If nose is straight and nicely shaped but a touch too long or buttons, blend
a bit a darkish make-up just on the tip of the nose.
To lengthen a short nose or straighten a crooked one, blend narrow strip of
light make-up down the center of bridge.
Short upper lip topped by pert nose can be sexy. Highlight area with dot of
shiny make-up in nostril groove .
20- Gold mascara, way to decorate lashes. Worn alone but applied to just the tips of your lashes on top of black mascara adds glamour. Used
specially for evenings.
