Song: 'Seasons of Love' from the "Rent" soundtrack.  "This song reminds me of everything important in my life.  One verse in the song says 'How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?'  As I listen to this song I am reminded that what I do in life for my family, friends, and students that I teach is how I am to be remembered.  Those are the important things in life, not the silly day-to-day things that we struggle through."
Movie: 'My Best Friend's Wedding'.  I can't figure why she'd put that one down. . .
Worst Car: Kim is apparently better than the rest of us.  "As you know, I don't really have a 'worst car'.  I guess if I had to name it, I'd have to pick my first car which was a 1986 Silver Dodge Colt.  It was pretty decked out with the good rims and body kit.  Not to mention that someone liked it enough to steal if from [my friend's] driveway."
Nickname for Martin: Too many to name, really, but she picked "My Little Pea-Pod."

Kim and I have a long history together, having met in the summer of 1990 at a DeMolay Reggae Dance in Whittier, California.  I was traveling with Brian again while he campaigned for a DeMolay state-level office.  Kim was campaigning for an office as well.  Someone introduced us and we hit it off, and dated for two and a half years after that.  We've been the best of friends ever since, giving each other advice on boyfriends/girlfriends and escorting each other to various events throughout the years.  Kim has never been known to hold her tongue when she has an opinion, and when she married Coby Polite in 1999, we all thought his last name would reject her.  Thankfully, Kim was able to accept the Polite name with no problems whatsoever.  Kim introduced Jody and me to Coby at a restaurant in Chino Hills and we immediately took a liking to him.  So, it was with great honor that I accepted Kim's invitation to be one of her Bridal Attendants at her wedding. My only problem was that the dress made me look fat.  In an instant of pure coincidence, we learned that Coby had dated one of Brian's ex-girlfriend's roommates.  So, Coby had heard stories and knew all about Brian, Kim, and me before he actually met us five years later.  He also went to High School with Todd.  Weird, huh?  Kim's been a great friend over the years, and has put up with a lot from me.  Ask her to tell you about the time we drove home from a wedding while wearing our formal clothes and the passenger door on my car wouldn't close.
