| Birthplace: Redwood City, California Birthday: July 29, 1970 Current Residence: San Jose, CA Current Employment: Helps manage the auto repair shop that she and her husband own in San Jose, CA. Pet(s): Diane has a "Toy Poodle, chocolate brown in color," and his name is Nicholas (Nicky, for short). Do you remember how we first met? How?: [When I sent a letter out to the bridal party introducing them all to each other, I shared with everyone how Diane said "hello" to me for the first time.] "Yes, as you mentioned in your letter -- I smacked you on the head as you were being shown to me for the first time! Hey! You were invading MY turf! Somebody had to do something to stop it!" Needless to say, Diane get's reminded about this incicent as often as possible. Do you remember what the first thing was that I said to you?: "That's Mine! Give it Back!" [I would just like to go on the record and say that I disagree with her. Rather, I think that the first thing I said to her was either, "Ouch! That hurts!" or "Eeew...you have green boogers!" Probably the former rather than the latter.] What song best describes your personality?: "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. It's Diane's favorite song. Favorite Food: Peruvian, Indian & Italian. Pretty diverse for a white girl, huh? Movie: It's a tie. "Out of Africa" and the modern-day version of "Little Women" (featuring Winona Ryder) are her favorites. Who would have thunk that it wasn't "Valley Girl?" Oh My Gosh! Worst pet-peeve: "Lack of attention to detail." Diane really hates that. One example of her own attention to detail would be practicing the art of cutting her stack of pancakes into perfectly tiny one-inch squares at the Pine Cone Coffee Shop in Sonora, CA. Meanwhile, the rest of the family's breakfast plates had already been cleared, and Diane's breakfast pancakes have turned into coldcakes. This is a true story. Most annoying/worst habit: "Incessant nagging, or carrying on about something." It is most likely that Diane has become less patient with this as her daughter Alexandra (Flower Girl) is still quite young. However, it could also be said that her "attention to detail" is also one of her most annoying/worst habits. We love her nonetheless. Jody's Notes: Diane is my oldest cousin. We used to play "Clue," "Stop Thief," and Barbies for hours on end. When I was younger...in my pre-teens, I used to look up to Diane for fashion advice...she was the ultimate "Valley Girl!" Not to mention that she used to have the best birthday slumber parties! [Back to Bridesmaids Page] [Back to Home Page] |
