| Birthplace: San Jose, California Birthday: May 12, 1985 (Mother's Day) Current Residence: Morgan Hill, CA Current Employment: Baby-sits Jody's cat Princess Jasmine. Full-Time H.S. student, will be a Junior at Valley Christian in the Fall. Pet(s): "All together, my family owns four cats, one which is mine. Her name is Cleo." (It's short for "Cleo-catra." Do you remember How we first met? How?: "I don't remember, but I'm sure you do. You were stuck with me the day I was born. We've been sisters ever since, for 16 years. My first memory with you was when you brought home my first cat, Pierre. Even though that cat was evil, I loved it." [Pause.] "I was so happy because I had always wanted a kitten. I think you were trying to bribe me so that you'd be my favorite sister, or something. Just kidding." [Wow...Melanie was a lot brighter than I thought she was. She finally found me out.] Do you remember what the first thing was that I said to you?: "Are babies supposed to have heads that big?" [Ahh...my sister...the budding comedian.] What song best describes your personality?: "Pineapple Princess" by Na Leo. It's a Hawaiian song. Favorite Food: Adobo (Filipino stewed chicken dish), Lumpia (Filipino egg roll), Italian and Mexican. Food, in general. Movie: "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Melanie is blessed to have such timeless, sophisticated and classic taste at such a young age. Worst pet-peeve: Melanie can't stand people who are more annoying than her. [I think she's being hard on herself.] She also can't stand people who don't brush their teeth. Eew! Most annoying/worst habit: "Hands down," Melanie's most annoying and worst habit is cracking her knuckles. Jody's Notes: Melanie (or "Nay-Nay" as I lovingly call her) is my youngest sister. Melanie is my second "living doll." I reveled a lot in pretending to be another "mother" to her. Many times, when Mom and Dad were letting her fuss and cry herself to sleep when she was throwing tantrums, I would sneak into her bedroom and pat her on the back, play with her or pick her up and "bounce" her until she went to sleep because I just couldn't bear hearing her cry. Regardless of the fact that she's 13 years younger than I am, we get along quite well. Melanie has (what Martin refers to) a "sniper" sense of humor--seemingly quiet, she waits for the right moment to strike and gets everyone with a one-liner, or two. She's a very loving, creative and caring person, not to mention that she's become quite a lovely young worman. [She's going to be really embarassed right now that I've said that, and she probably rolled her eyes when she read this.] [Back to Bridesmaids Page] [Back to Home Page] |
