| A little information on the person whom many of my more recent friends refer to as "Martin's imaginary sister." Stacy Lianne Thomas (Sister) Stacy was born a little more than 3 years before me (in fact, our birthdays are only 12 days apart), but she's a Libra whereas I'm a Virgo. And, as anybody who knows anything about astrology knows, those two signs don't mix too well. When we were younger, Stacy and I hung out a lot, mainly because my dad was getting transferred so much due to his work that she and I usually had whole summers where we didn't know anybody. I remember one summer in particular when we moved to Reno that my bike was broken so we invented a game wherein I would ride around the neighborhood on her bike and find a street address and then come home and Stacy would get on the bike and try to find the address I had found and describe the house to me. That's how we learned our way around the neighborhood. Stacy also used to be a fairly prolific writer, writing stories all the time as a young girl. She and I also used to make up stories together, many of which we would act out. Her two favorites stories to act out were "Star Wars" and "Little House on the Prarie." Whenever we played "Star Wars", she got to play Princess Leia and I got to play everybody else (Luke, Han, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, Dead Stormtroopers, etc.). Whenever we played "Little House", she got to play Laura, and I got to play Mary, Albert, Carrie, Ma, Pa, Mr. Olsen, Mrs. Olsen, Nellie Olsen, Willie Olsen, Mr. Edwards, the horses, the cows, and the Indians. I'm surprised I didn't become an actor after that. During college, Stacy double-majored in History and Anthropology at Fresno State, and then years later decided to get her teaching credential at Cal Poly, Pomona. Currently, she's teaching History at a Middle School in West Covina. For more about Stacy, you can visit her Bridesmaid page here. [Martin's Family: Dad] [Martin's Family: Mom] [Back to Home Page] |
