| One great thing with making a webslite like
this are the interesting emails I get from Alacrity owners. It's great
to get into contact with all these sailors in different parts of the
world. Some of them also have really interesting tips and tricks to share. The first one ist from Bob Hendry, owner of "Elsie Too". He lives in London, Ontario, Canada. You can read more about his cruises in the link section. Bob does a lot of trailering and agreed to describe his method of launching his boat single handed from the trailer. He also manages to step the mast all by himself, which is quite impressing considering that he is more than 70 years old. Another report has reached me from Phoenix, Arizona, USA where Dan McEachern is restoring an Alacrity he bought in the summer of 2003. Russ Ashworth has modified his cockpit drains and George Bollenbacher has made a new mainsheet traveler. |
