Heaven-Sent Innocence: Gotenks

If we talk about Goten, then Gotenks, his fused form with his best friend Trunks, can never be far behind. Who could forget the cocky demi-saiyajin who has numerous yet useless attacks? Who could not recognize the cocky demi-saiyajin with part-black, part-lavender hair? Yup, that's Gotenks alright!

The Fusion Dance. Soon after Goku declared to his family and friends that Gohan and Vegeta were killed by Majin Buu, he took it upon himself to teach Goten and Trunks the Fusion Dance. Easy as it may look, the Fusion Dance is a fairly complicated technique, considering that the two warriors must not only keep their power levels at the same level, they have to move and perform their actions accurately at the same time. To add to Goku's frustration, the kids were too shocked by their loved ones' death to do decent training. When it was Piccolo's turn to continue their training, the kids were too stubborn to train, for both of them thought that the dance was really ugly.

Fusion Failures. In Episode 236, Goten and Trunks fused for the first time. But one of them committed a mistake, and their fusion resulted in a fat Gotenks. At their second fusion attempt, a mistake was once again made, and the result was an old Gotenks. However, the next attempt was perfect. Just not their super saiyajin form... yet.

Perfect Fusion. At their third fusion attempt, Goten and Trunks finally fused into Gotenks, the Gotenks many fans adore and love. However, if there's anything wrong with Gotenks, it's his ego. Gotenks is very cocky and conceited, a trait that originally belongs to Trunks. While Trunks dominates Gotenks' personality, Goten takes care of the appearance... most of it.

Super Saiyajin Transformations. Goku's not the only saiyajin who managed to reach Super Saiyajin 3 during the Majin Buu Saga. Guess who else did? Gotenks! Yes, our two chibis fused as one actually reached the third super saiyajin transformation! Not bad, eh?

Gotenks' Moves. Gotenks is one of the warriors who has the most number of moves, however, most of his moves are stupid and useless. However, there are a couple of useful ones as well. We're going to give you a quick rundown of his moves and attacks... excluding the super saiyajin transformations.

Balloon Flash Bomb
An attack by SSJ3 Gotenks, which is, once again... pretty useless.

Big Thunder Punch
And again, another one of Gotenks' useless punches.

Brain Crush Hammer
Another useless move... but has a funny name. That's what Gotenks is famous for. Cocky attitude, useless moves and funny attack names.

Dynamite Kick
Gotenks kicks the opponent, and then an explosion occurs during that kick.

Final Shooting Score
Did I mention that this is --- again --- a useless move?

Finish Flash
And another useless move...

Galactic Donut
It is a successive attack of ki-rings, which look like donuts. The rings can be used to surround the enemy and trap him by holding his limbs.

Great Fighting Top
Gotenks put his arms in the air, one leg out, and one leg straight. Imagine the classic ballet pose. That's it. And then, he spins around and around and around, like a top.

Great Kick Special
A kick, given a nicer-sounding name. Just to make things sound... more exciting.

Great Revolving Kick
One of Gotenks' useless... yet funny... attacks.

Metal Machine Gun Punch
Another punch... and another useless move.

Miracle Super Punch
A punch. That's it. A punch.

Power Tackle
Another useless move... and has no effect on Evil Buu. Sorry, Gotenks.

Renzoku Shine
This is Gotenks version of the Renzoku Energy Dan, popularized by Vegeta (Remember what he did to Cell when Mirai Trunks was killed? That's the Renzoku Energy Dan.) Renzoku Shine is the same attack, just more power. Imagine Gotenks firing a machine gun. That's it, it's just that, he's using ki.

Rolling Thunder Punch
Gotenks spins his arm around and around, sort of like a helicopter blade. And then he punches.

Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack
One of the most famous attacks Gotenks ever made! First, he spits out a white blob which then forms into a ghost. Afterwards, Gotenks sends the ghost to the opponent. If touched --- even in the slightest way --- the ghost will explode.

Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack Times Ten
The same as the one mentioned earlier, but Gotenks creates ten ghosts at a time. So far, the largest number of ghost Gotenks has created was 100.

Ultra Buu Buu Volleyball
This move started out as a joke by Gotenks. First, he wrapped Buu with ki-rings, thanks to his Galactic Donut attack. Then he plays volleyball with Piccolo, with Buu as the ball. Finally, Gotenks spikes the ball to earth. Go Cuba. Go Russia. Go Brazil.

Ultra Missile Punch
Another one of Gotenks' punches, just given a nicer-sounding name.

Wild Boar Attack
Gotenks charges his enemy like a wild boar. To add to that, he puts his fingers on his face to represent the horns. *sighs* Gotenks... Well who can blame them? They're kids!

After Buu. Unfortunately, Goten and Trunks never fused again, after their legendary battle with Majin Buu --- and the bathing incident. Many fans complain about this development. After all, who would not want to see Teen Gotenks? He'll definitely be along the line of the renowned Dragonball Hunks! But no, they weren't able to fuse ever again. Sad, but true.
