     Leonard was born at Charles County, Maryland, circa 1719. He was the son of Joseph Clements and Phoebe Taylor. He married an unknown person at Maryland, before 1745. In his will dated 5 Jan 1793, Leonard CLEMENTS , Sr. names his daughters Mary, Phebe and Clare and his sons Matthais and John CLEMENTS.
      In two instances Clare was named as Clare CLEMENTS] and in one instance she was named as Clare BENNET. There was no mention of a wife therefore she must have pre-deceased, Leonard. Matthais and Mary were named executors. Leonard Clements , Sr. left a will on 5 January 1793 at Charles County, Maryland, In the name of God, Amen; I, Leonard Clements Senior, of Charles County in the state of Maryland, reflecting on the uncertainty of human life being in a weak state of Health but of sound Mind and Memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say; In the first place I revoke all former wills heretofore made by me and declare this to be my only Last Will and Testament; - Item, I desire my Executors hereafter named to pay all the debts I owe and the expence of my Funeral; - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Clements, her heirs and assigns forever, one negro girl named Henny also one bed and furniture; - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Phebe Clements, her heirs and assigns forever one negro Boy named James, also one Bed and furniture; - I give and bequeath unto my son Mathias Clements, his heirs and assigns forever, one negro Boy named William, also on Bed and Furniture; - Item, I give and bequeath unto my three children Mary Clements, Phebe Clements and Mathias Clements, their and each of their heirs and assigns forever one negro woman named Jane also one negro woman named Sarah and the increase of the said Sarah not herein before mentioned to be equally divided among them; - Item, I give and bequeath unto my five children John Clements, Mary Clements, Phebe Clements, Mathias Clements and Clare Bennet, their and each of their heirs and assigns forever all my lands belonging to me in Charles County and all the remainder of my other property not herein mentioned to be equally divided among them.
Lastly, I do name and appoint my son Mathias Clements and my daughter Mary Clements Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.

Clements and Anna Loyd Clements.2 He was listed as a resident in the census report at Union County, Kentucky, in 1870.4 He married Cora Sandefur at residence of B. F. Sandefur, Henderson County, Kentucky, on 4 February 1891.5 Lloyd was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census at 8 Magisirial District, Henderson County, Kentucky.6 Carrie stated that the family came to Arkansas when she was eleven. That would place the time that Lloyd William removed his family from Kentucky to Arkansas as 1910. Lloyd William was a contractor as indicated by his daughters. However, in the 1919 city directory of Jonesboro, Arkansas his occupation was listed as collector for B. Johnson Co., a furniture store.
The last record found about Lloyd was in 1920 at Jonesboro, Arkansas. It is thought that he left his family at that time. It is not known where he went, where or when he died. Research is still being conducted in this area. Lloyd was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census at Monroe Ave., Jonesboro Twp., Craighead County, Arkansas.7 Lloyd died after 1920 at Unknown.

     Mary was born at Nelson County, Kentucky, on 7 May 1788.2 She was the daughter of John Clements and Anna Hamilton. She married Peter Huet on 7 February 1809.3 Mary died on 20 July 1872 at age 84.3
