Name: Dirk Morgna

Dirk Morgna is the son of industrialist Derek Morgna and had incidently caused an explosive accident during a delivery to his father's company which led to the termination of Dr Zaxton Regulus, who had been experimenting with solar power conducted through radioactive gold. Dr Regulus then kidnapped Dirk and injected him with liquid gold which caused Dirk to produce extreme heat and light generation beyond his control. He then used it to atttack Regulus, blinding him and fusing his metal armor to his body. Dirk was later possessed by Phy'r, a mystical member of the Elements of Disaster but was able to rebel against the creature. His solar powers have seemingly left him but his eyesight was altered due to his possession.

Aven is a top-level telepath and director of the Titan Institute, a prestigious school for training the most talented telepaths of Titan. He considers Saturn Girl to have been his most "adequate" student and had secretly placed mental blocks in her mind to keep her from accessing her full telepathic ability before she was ready. Aven assisted Saturn Girl in her recovery after her confrontation with the Composite Man left her catatonic and informed Cosmic Boy of his suspicions that President Chu was behind the Titan/Braal war, which ultimately led to the discovery of Chu's conspiracies and her impeachment. Aven is secretly the caretaker of Titan's most guarded and dangerous secret, Sarmon Ardeen, an immensely powerful telepath.
