Imra was groomed as a top level telepath and joined the Science Police, but as she arrived on Earth in a ship with Garth Ranzz and Rokk Krinn, the three prevented an assassination attempt made on the life of interplanetary entrepreneur RJ Brande. Brande was so impressed with the teen-agers' courage and team-work that he convinced them to form the Legion of Super-Heroes. Imra's telepathic abilities had previously been dampened by mental blocks placed by her instructor, Aven, to prevent her from becoming too powerful -too early, but encounters with the Composite Man and Dr Psycho led to the failure of the blocks and she is now one of the most powerful telepaths in the galaxy. Imra was romantically linked with Live Wire before his apparant death.
Imra has the native Titanian telepathic abilities to read the thoughts of others, communicate without speaking and control the will of another being.
Imra was among the group of Legionnaires that was "Lost" in an uncharted galaxy for a year, which was especially taxing for her as the leader. |
