RJ Brande is an accomplished businessman, one of the richest sentients in the galaxy and the creator of the Stargate technology which was instrumental in the formation of the United Planets. He convinced Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl and Live Wire to form the Legion of Super-Heroes when he witnessed their courage and team-work as they saved him from an assassination attempt on his life. After the former President of the UP was exposed in several conspiracies and removed from office, Brande was elected as her replacement, only to be removed from office himself in light of the Blight Invasion and Stargate Rift incident. Undaunted, he immediately began work on his new and improved vision of the Legion and the construction of Legion World.
There seems to be some mystery in Brande's past as hinted at by M'Onel and the fact that he possesses limited telepathic powers. |
