One lone red-leafed tree
Standing tall, double-stemmed
Upon a midnight sky of water
An Autumn sun sheds
Rays of hope to come
Two lovers lazily lounging
Together by the water's edge

Her chestnut locks
Ruffle around her lover's knees
Reflecting perfectly
The leaves of one lone tree

Her golden hair
Ruffles about her love-filled eyes
Reflecting perfectly
The rays of a hopeful sun

One lone red-leafed tree
Standing tall, double-stemmed
Upon a midnight sky of water
An Autumn sun sheds
Rays of hope to come
Two lovers lazily lounging
Together by the water's edge

Two lovers
Standing tall, double-stemmed
