They say the brightest flame burns quickest
But, babe, my flame’s still burnin’
So, I’m not frightened, yet
I’m in a competition with the sun
And, babe, you know I’m gonna win

I’m gonna travel ’round the world
Stir up revolutions in the streets
Gonna live my life unfurled
And achieve amazing feats

They say the brightest flame burns quickest
But, babe, my flame’s still burnin’
So, I’m not frightened, yet
I’m in a competition with the sun
And, babe, you know I’m gonna win

I’m gonna ride the waves of time
And dance in the rainy streets
Gonna make my life my prime
And yield to no one’s lead

They say the brightest flame burns quickest
But, babe, my flame’s still burnin’
So, I’m not frightened, yet
I’m in a competition with the sun
And, babe, you know I’m gonna win

I’m gonna hike the Appalachia
And act with the RSC
Gonna use my mind and muscle
And prove what both can be

They say the brightest flame burns quickest
But, babe, my flame’s still burnin’
So, I’m not frightened, yet
I’m in a competition with the sun
And, babe, you know I’m gonna win
