Hold me when I'm here
'Cause when I'm gone, I'm gone
When I'm gone, you'll miss
You'll miss all the things we missed
Like the morning sun
On a calm mountain lake
Like the diamonds in the ocean
As its waves toss in a storm
Hold me when I'm here
'Cause when I'm gone, I'm gone
And when I'm gone, you'll miss
You'll miss the life we kissed

We brushed true life together
We knew what it meant to live
To live for today alone
To forget about tomorrow
Not to think about yesterday
But live in the present
To live our lives right now
We kissed true life together
We knew what it meant to live

Hold me when I’m here
‘Cause when I’m gone, I’m gone
When I’m gone, you’ll miss
You’ll miss all the things we missed
Like the sun glinting
On a butterfly’s silken wings
Like an autumn breeze
Ruffling the wheat in the feild.
Hold me when I'm here
'Cause when I'm gone, I'm gone
And when I'm gone, you'll miss
You'll miss all the life we kissed

I drifted in empty space
Watching a galaxy fly by
You reached out into the abyss
And pulled me into life
Strange how words mean nothing
How a touch can say it all

Hold me when I'm here
'Cause when I'm gone, you're gone
And when you're gone, I'll miss
I'll miss all the life we kissed
