I may be a hero
(Silver, glinting hero)
But I can't rescue me
(Will you rescue me?)
I may be an angel
(Golden, gleaming angel)
Fly away with me
(Will you fly?)

Every hero needs a hero
(Someone to aspire to)
Will you be my hero?
(A silver, glinting hero)
Every angel needs an angel
(Someone to aspire to)
Will you be my angel?
(Golden, gleaming angel)

I may be a hero
But I can still feel love
I may be an angel
But I'm not that far above
You may be my hero
Will you take my love?
You may be my angel
Will you rise above?

I may be a hero
(Silver, glinting hero)
But I can't rescue me
(Will you rescue me?)
I may be an angel
(Golden, gleaming angel)
Fly away with me
(Will you fly?)

I'm a new kind of hero
(You intrigue me)
A sliver, glinting hero
(Ablaze with chivalry)
I'm a new kind of angel
(You amuse me)
A Golden, gleaming angel
(Ablaze with honesty)

We may be heroes
Riding through the land
We may be angels
Flying hand-in-hand
We may be heroes
Spreading truth and love
We may be angels
We will rise above

Every hero needs a hero
Tell me you'll be mine
Every angel needs an angel
Please let me be thine
I long to be like you
My silver, glinting hero
I yearn to be like you
My golden, gleaming angel

Every hero needs a hero
(Somebody to love)
Every angel needs an angel
(Everyone needs love)
