Our church is really growing. We have an elderly couple that have been attending for several months now, and the Lord healed the sister of an illness that the doctors could not understand. Also a family from Oklahoma moved here a few weeks ago, and the mother has been attending church regularly. She brings her five children when she can. Our pastor treats the sinner so good  because he wants to lead them to Christ. He has a lot of patience, and feels like if they get enough help from the Lord they will measure up to the Holiness standard. As he says, we don't make a person Holiness, the Lord does that. Pray that they can become deeply established in the Lord, and that my pastor can gently lead them on their journey,  with the help of the Lord.

We have a baby in the church who is the first child of a young couple. He has health problems, and needs prayer. When he was born he weighed just over four pounds, then lost weight. After much prayer we are glad to report that he weighs over eight pounds! Double what he weighed at birth. He still has a long way to go with his health problem, but the Lord has helped him greatly in the past month. His parents need prayer that they can trust the Lord and have faith that the baby will be healed.

Please pray for the Lee family at Hobbs, NM. Aaron Lee had been fighting an illness for two years, and this past Tuesday he was called home. He was only 29, and left a young widow and two very young little girls. Melissa (his widow) has been taking it hard, and really needs prayer. The funeral was Saturday August 30, and many Holiness people from across the country attended. Aaron was the Sunday school teacher for five and six year olds at the Trinity Free Holiness Church in Hobbs. He has two brothers, two sisters, and his parents are still living. His entire family needs prayer. He felt like if he was healed, or if he was called home, either way he was victorious. While he is victorious, those who where close to him need prayer. We look forward to seeing Brother Aaron in heaven. This incident reminds me of something Casper Ten Boom was quoted as saying in the true story "The Hiding Place" (a great read), "Our wise Father in heaven knows when we're going to need things, too... When the time comes that some of us will have to die, you will look into your heart and find the strength you need-just in time." Pray that Brother Aaron's family finds the strength that the Lord is giving them.
