Feedback from SCALA's FOOM 2001songwriting competition arrives. WARD "C" entered three songs (two in the demo section and one in the lyrics section). Some of the judges' remarks are presented here for your amusement. Chernobyl Cheryl (demo section) ... "Nice rhythms, sounds, melody - FUN !" Andrew Bunney (songwriter, reviewer) "Like a sci-fi comic. Strange. Intentionally offensive. Unusual sense of humour. Sex with a radioactive mutant !" Suzy Ramone (producer, reviewer) Her Royale Thighness (demo section) ... "Music is very apt for the time you have written about; I really like the time change in the middle - reminded me of 'Golden Brown' by The Stranglers. A simple idea eloquently put. A nice package - well done." Corey Stewart (songwriter) ( What a CHAMP... WARD "C" approves of and endorses comments complementing their "package" ... ) Lucy (lyrics section) ... "An extraordinary lyric. Unique !" David Hills (lyricist, songwriter) "An unusual topic. I liked the humour and the piece ..." Jude Aquilina (poet, lyricist) WARD "C" would like to take this opportunity to thank the judges for their constructive comments.
