Chapter 13: Look, Find, Fight

About midnight Heero and I came back to the city and went to sleep. I fell asleep pretty quickly.

When I was asleep I had a dream, I was in a forest, running. I was running away from Duo and my fate. I was so scared, I didn't want to fight Duo so I just kept running and running. I tripped over a log and when I was facing the ground, I was crying. I don't know why I was crying, but I was.

I looked back up at Duo and I saw that he and Zell were fighting. Duo struck Zell right in the stomach killing him instantly.

"NO!" I yelled as I got up and continued to run. I tried to stop running, I wanted to fight Duo, but my nerves were to run in a situation like this.

Duo kept killing my friends, but when I did stop running and looked at Duo he had just killed Heero. Duo had stabbed Heero in the stomach and Heero was still on Duo's sword.

I almost puked when I saw that. I then yelled at Duo, "You animal! Come and get me and I can promise you that I will not lose to someone like you!"

I then woke up from that nightmare, sweating. The dream seemed so real, but I know I won't be running from Duo. I then yelled, "Duo, I hate you!" I started to cry because I was still thinking about the dream. "Heero, I don't want you to die."

Just then I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," I said.

It was Heero. He walked to my bed and said, "It is time to go and find Duo, but I heard you talking in your sleep last night and it sounded like you were having a nightmare."

"I was, but it isn't anything to worry about," I said as I dried my tears. "Where are we supposed to meet?"

"In the Ragnack. It is outside on the east side of the city," Heero stated.

I nodded and said, "Let me go and get a few things for the battle with Duo. I think we might need some potion and some reviving potions in case someone dies."

"Good idea, but I already did that this morning before I came to make sure you were up. I bought as many as I could carry," Heero said.

I was amazed that Heero thought of that. "Alright then, I guess we better get to the Ragnack," I said.

"We may want to get a car because everyone else is already there," Heero said. "I'll pay for renting a car."

"That is fine with me, but they better not leave without us," I joked.

"You know they wouldn't leave with out me," Heero joked back as we got into a car.

I punched Heero lightly on the arm and said laughing, "They wouldn't leave without me because I am much more better than you."

"Have you ever laughed like that before?" Heero asked.

I blushed and said, "No, I don't think I ever have." I turned on the radio and heard one of my favorite songs, but yet it wasn't my favorite song because most of the song is true. I didn't realize that I was crying again to the song, which is called, I want to stay the night.

Heero looked at me and then at the radio and said, "I know you want to stay the night, Amara, and you always will stay the night with me."

"Thank you," I said. "I know that I will always be with you, Heero."

Heero pulled up next to the Ragnack and said, "We are here, and this is the Ragnack."

I looked amazed as I saw the Ragnack. It was blue with red flames on it and it also looked like a dragon. We both got out of the car and entered the Ragnack. I wanted to look around, but I didn't want to slow down finding Duo. Heero brought me into the meeting room where everyone was except for Selphie and Irvine. They were getting ready to pilot the Ragnack.

In the meeting room we took our seats and Squall buzzed the pilot room and said, "We are all ready to go so whenever you want you may start the Ragnack and follow the tracking device."

I looked outside as the Ragnack started up and started to move. I saw some monsters running around playing. Oh how I wished I could have a carefree life like that, I thought. I then gave my full attention on Squall.

"I am sure you all know today is the day we find Duo and defeat him. This will not be an easy fight at all. I am sure we will have to go through Vash, a former member of the SeeD. If you do have to fight Vash, three of us will move on ahead and when the rest of us are done taking care of Vash, we will catch up to the three of you. Are there three of us that are willing to go on ahead once we get to wherever Duo is?" Squall stated.

I spoke up, "I will go on ahead with two others."

Heero then said, "I will also go with Amara and find Duo."

"I will go with them too, I mean they need a more experience fighter," Zell said hoping that he would lead the two of us.

"Good," Squall said. "Amara, you are to be the leader in that group and I want you to take good care of everyone until the rest of us can meet up with you. Once we enter the base where Duo is we will stick together, but after awhile we will split up. If there are many monsters in the place then we split up right away."

"May I say something?" I asked.

"Go ahead," Squall replied.

"When we entered the place why don't we just split up right away in threes and each group has a communicator so they can keep in tack with the other groups. Also with groups of threes it would be harder to get caught and also threes are powerful enough to destroy monsters," I stated.

"That is a very good idea. We will split up in groups of threes. I do believe we already have one made up. Amara, Heero, and Zell do you all still want to be in the same group?" Squall asked.

The three of us shook our heads in the motion of yes. Then Squall spoke up again, "Then I will decide the other groups. Irvine, Selphie, and Quistis will make up another group. Electra, Chaos, and Andrew will make up another one and Rinoa and I we will be the last group."

"That sounds good to me, but I want to say something to everyone," I said as I stood up.

"Go ahead," Squall gave the right away.

"I want everyone to be careful and I want to tell you all the best of luck. This will not be an easy task, but I want everyone to make it throw," I said. "I love you all as if you were all my brothers and sisters and I don't want anything to happen to anyone of you."

Everyone said at the same time, "Thank you and the same to you."

I sat back down right as Selphie came on the loud speaker and stated, "We can see the base right now. I'm going to take the Ragnack down now. We'll have about a mile walk before we enter the base, unless you want me to crash into the base?"

"Crash into the base because either we are going to be found out so why not just say a friendly hello by dropping in on them," Squall told Selphie.

"Yeah! All right, I read you loud and clear! Lets get this show on the road!" Selphie yelled as she stepped on the gas and we crashed right into the base.

I wonder if she gets this excited every time there is a fight or battle, I thought to myself. I got up and followed the others outside the Ragnack.

"This will probably be the last battle for awhile, but not the last mission. I wish you all the best of luck and we will all make it through this," Squall said as we all got into our groups.

We gave each other the SeeD stance and then ran off in our own directions. My group we went east and within two minutes we were already in a monster fight. It didn't take us to long to destroy the monster.

I then told my group, "Lets climb up those stairs. If my hunch is right, Duo will be on the top floor."

We climbed up 18 flights of stairs before we reached the top. I pulled out my communicator and said, "Everyone, this is Amara and we are on the top floor. We may believe Duo is here. I'll report back to you all in a few."

I then noticed a door and said, "Duo is behind that door right there. Are you two both ready?"

They both nodded yes. I then kicked the door as hard as I could; the door came opened up with only one kick. We all entered the room and it was pitch black. We walked in further then we heard many doors shut as the lights came on.
