Chapter 4: The Mission

We walked around and Zell went to the weapon shop and Irvine went to a strip club. Heero stayed by my side as we entered the casino.

"We better split up so it doesn't look suspicious. We should meet at the blackjack table," I told Heero.

Heero nodded as we walked our separate ways. I went straight to the blackjack table and sat down. The dealer looked at me and then down at a picture. She then nodded at me and I nodded back. She dealt me in a few games and then Heero came and sat down.

"Will you two please follow me," the dealer asked.

We both nodded, yes. We followed her up to some stairs and then to a private room

"My name is Electra. I am the one who has asked for your help. I thought there was three of you," she said.

"There are three of us. Zell is probably at the weapon shop. We also have a new member that Cid didn't mention. His name is Irvine; he may still be at the strip club. I am Amara, the captain and this here is Heero," I stated.

"Nice to meet you both. I shall send Alex to find Zell and Irvine. But if you have a picture of Irvine it should help us find him," Electra said.

"We do not have a picture of Irvine, but how many people here in Galbidia wear a cowboy hat?" I asked.

"No one. I shall tell Alex to look for your two friends," Electra stated. "I will be right back. Make yourselves at home."

"Did you play any games?" I asked Heero.

"Just craps and then I came over to blackjack. Did you gamble?" Heero replied.

"I just played a few hands of blackjack," I said. "Are you getting nervous?" I said. "About the mission I mean."

Heero looked embarrassed, but said, "Yes, I am quite nervous. Are you?"

"Not at all. There is no reason to be nervous," I said as Electra and another guy came in.

"This is Chaos. He is the other person in our group," Electra introduced.

"Hello, nice to meet you all," Chaos said.

Holy shit! Chaos is super cute. He has silver hair and the perfect body. He has dark blue eyes. I then said, "Hello Chaos. I am Amara and that is Heero."

Chaos then came over to me and kissed my hand. That is when Heero looked at us and his face became bright red.

Electra then coughed and said, "I might as well tell you the mission. Chaos will be going with you so if you need any help he shall help you. The mission is to find the president, Ronan Titan. He has been missing for almost two weeks. We have been trying to find him but so far no luck. If the people here found out about the presidents disappearance this city would be in chaos. We do believe that the president may have been kidnapped and brought to the temple of Silver Crater. That temple is very dangerous but since you are all SeeD's, you should all be experts about temples, am I right?"

"Yes, you are correct. We will check out the temple as soon as Zell and Irvine are found," I replied.

"Alright. The temple is southeast from here. Until your two friends are found you may do whatever you want, but stay inside this building," Electra instructed.

"I'm going to go gamble," I said.

"I'll go with you," Chaos said.

"Alright. Heero you may do whatever you want to do," I told Heero.

"Alright," Heero said as he ran out the room.

Oh no. Did I hurt your feelings Heero? Oh Heero I am so sorry but.

"Come on I will show you the best places to gamble here," Chaos said.

I nodded as I clung onto Chaos's arm. Chaos took me to see the whole place and afterwards we went to a restaurant and Chaos bought me a milkshake.

"You know that you didn't have to buy me this," I said.

"Yeah, I know, but I wanted to," Chaos said as Zell and the rest came in.

"Oh hey Zell you guys over here!" I yelled.

"Sorry we took so long," Zell apologized.

"Don't worry about it," I told Zell. "I will brief you quickly on our mission. We are to go to Silver Crater temple and look for the president. We will be leaving as soon as possible."

"Well it is getting late so why don't we leave tomorrow morning?" asked Irvine.

"That sounds great. Then it is decided we will leave tomorrow morning," I stated.

The guys whispered something to each other but I could hear them. Probably because I am a GF. The guys said, "We should leave Amara and Chaos alone. I think they have something going on between the two of them."

"Just for the info you guys I heard what you said about me and Chaos," I snickered.

The guys looked stunned and ran up to the Inn.

"What did they say about us?" Chaos asked.

"Oh it really wasn't anything important. They just think there is something going on between you and me," I said.

"Well maybe they are right. See I was planning on asking you out on a date tonight," Chaos said. "I was thinking maybe we could go to the movies."

I blushed and replied, "I think that would be wonderful." Oh great am I starting to really like this guy? Am I showing my feelings? Just great everyone knows me as the silent one.

"Really?" Chaos said. "Alright, how about after we are done here we go and catch that movie?"

"Sounds fine to me," I said as I finished up my milkshake.

After I finished my milkshake we went to the movies. There Chaos and I kissed during the movie but for some reason Heero was on my mind.

"You are a great kisser," Chaos said.

"Thank you," I said as I blushed. "You are not bad yourself."

"Thank you. So how was the movie?" Chaos asked.

"It was great, but I didn't pay to much attention to it though," I replied.

"Neither did I, I mean pay much attention to the movie. I guess it is pretty late. I'll walk you to your room," Chaos said.

"No that is alright. I can walk there by myself. I'll see you tomorrow, until then take care," I said as we kissed again.

"Alright. I will meet you at the Inn lobby. See you then, take care," Chaos stated.

I then started to walk back to the Inn I noticed that Zell and Irvine were running back to the Inn. They were spying on me I thought.

I decided when I got back I would yell at Zell and Irvine, but when I did get back, Electra bumped into me.

"Oh Amara, I'm so sorry, but I was looking for you," Electra stated, "Heero has gone missing."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Heero and I we went into his room to talk more about the mission and when I left I forgot my purse. I was only down the hall so I would have heard if Heero left. When I went back into his room to get my purse he was gone," Electra said.

"Electra, you stay here with Irvine and Alex. Zell, Chaos, and I, we will search the city," I said calmly.

"Alright," Electra said. "Maybe Heero was kidnapped.

"If he was he would get free. Trust me on that. See you later Electra," I said as I went looking for Zell and Chaos.

I saw Zell in the cafeteria trying to get some hot dogs this late at night. "Zell!" I yelled.

"Oh hey Amara. How was your date?" Zell asked.

"It is none of your business. And right now we have to find Heero. Heero may have been kidnapped or he went to the temple alone. We have to find him," I stated. "Now come on!"

"Alright, but what about my hot dogs?" Zell pleaded.

"I'll buy you some hot dogs when we get back, now come on!" I yelled.

Zell and I then went to find Chaos and that didn't take to long. I told Chaos about the situation and Chaos came with us to find Heero.

We were in the middle of the city when I said, " Why don't we split up. Chaos I want you to go north and check that way. Zell I want you to go east and check that way, and I will go south."

They all nodded and started to run their separate ways. The reason I picked south for me was because the exit was that way and I plan to leave the city and go to the temple and look for Heero there.
