Final Fantasy 8-2

Chapter 8: Reunion

I then went to bed. I woke up around 7:00 am. I went straight to the library to start my research again. I found another site that my access was denied. I had to try two different hacking skills to get into the site.

"Yes," I whispered to myself. Lets see what this site be holds. "Oh my gosh! The Illusionist's real name is Duo Wolfang."

"Hey Amara, what did you find?" Heero asked.

"The Illusionist's real name is Duo Wolfang. When I first came here Duo was about to quit the SeeD force. Duo and I we became good friends, but then he said he had to go. Duo said that he had some unfinished business to take care of. Duo then said he wanted me to work with him and become part of his team, but I declined," I stated. "Maybe that is why Vash wanted to marry me. There was nothing between us though."

"Hmm. This is confusing, but I'm sure we'll figure all this out," Heero said.

"Amara, please come to the headmaster's office," the announcer stated.

"I'll be back in a few. Heero, I want you to continue looking at this site and see if you can find anything more about Duo," I said as I got up and left.

When I reached the office I saw Electra and the other two SeeD's but I couldn't find Alex.

"Hey Amara," Electra said. "We stopped the base from attacking, but we lost.Alex."

"Oh, no!" I said in shock as Electra started to cry. "We will avenge Alex's lost. I have found more information about The Illusionist. The Illusionist's real name is Duo Wolfang. Duo once was a SeeD member here, but he quit the SeeD's about the time Squall defeated Ultmicia."

"Duo Wolfang, he and I, we used to be childhood friends," Electra stated. "Duo said that one day he will rule the world and he then will come and get me so I could rule the world by his side. I of course didn't believe him, but maybe I was wrong to doubt him. We have to stop him!"

"We will," I said as I tried to remember Duo's personality. I then had a flash back

"Hey, half pint. Are you new here?" Duo asked.

"Yes, and I am lost. Could you help me?" I asked.

"Sure. My name is Duo and I am a SeeD, but I plan on quitting," Duo said.

"I'm Amara and I plan on becoming a SeeD," I said. "So if I may ask how come you plan on quitting the SeeD force?"

"I got sick of doing the same thing over and over so I plan on making my own missions from now on," Duo stated. "Maybe once I start my mission you could come and join me."

"That would be wonderful, but I first must become a SeeD," I replied.

"That would be fine with me. So once you become a SeeD we'll meet up again," Duo said.

I then came back from the flashback and Zell asked, "Hey Amara, you in their if so please come back down to Earth."

"Oh, sorry, I must have dazed off. Did I miss anything?" I asked back.

"No, not really, except Electra went to a room to go and get some rests. I feel so bad for her. I mean Alex and Electra, they were boyfriend and girlfriend," Zell said.

"I feel bad too, but we can't let that bother us. We must find and defeat Duo," I stated. "I'm going to tell Andrew to go to Timber Garden. If the stories I heard are true then Selphie lives there and she can fly the Ragnack."

"The stories are true, but I am not certain if Selphie lives there," Irvine said.

"Whatever.I have a mission to do and nothing is going to stop me from fulfilling my mission," I said as I went to the control room. "Andrew we have a new place to go to. Fly the Garden to Timber Garden."

"Alright, we should be there in about a day or so," Andrew said as he changed the Gardens directions.

"I'll see you later, Andrew," I said as I left and went back to the library.

"Oh, hey Amara. I found out that Duo was last seen in Ether. That was about a month ago," Heero said.

"Then as soon as we get to Timber Garden we'll head for Ether. Oh and Heero, just thought I should tell you, Alex is no longer with us and Electra isn't taking that too well," I stated.

"Does Chaos know?" Heero asked.

"I don't think so, but I was thinking that you could tell him, Heero. I'm not to good about telling others that someone they know is gone," I said. "I also need to clear my head so I'll finish up here and you can tell Chaos that Alex died."

"All right, but remember our talk," Heero said.

Yeah I remember our talk, but my problems are mine to worry about, not yours or anybody else's. Shiva, why did you wish me here? Why couldn't I just have stayed a GF? I know I wouldn't have gotten the chance to meet Heero or anybody else, but it would have been less complicated.

"I hate you Shiva!" I yelled. As soon as I yelled everyone in the library starred at me. I then up from my computer and went to my room.

I went to my desk and sat down placing my hand over my head. "Why must life be so confusing? I never asked for all of this to happen to me," I said to myself. "But why didn't I go with Duo? I know I said that I would after I became a SeeD, but something must have changed my mind. But what?"

I just stared at the blank wall trying to figure out why I didn't go with Duo. All of a sudden I remembered why I didn't go with Duo. I had another flashback.

"Duo, wait up!" I yelled as I climbed over a log. "Duo, where are you?"

I looked for Duo in the training Area. Duo said he would help me train, but when I got here Duo just told me hurry up and follow me.

"Duo!" I yelled as I heard something running after me.

I started to run and once in awhile I would look behind me. As I looked behind me I saw a T-rex chasing me. Oh no! I thought. I can't defeat a T-rex all by myself. "Duo, Help me!" I pleaded hoping that Duo would come.

I knew it was useless to keep yelling for someone who would never show up, but then I saw Duo. "Duo, help me. Together we can defeat the T-rex," I said.

Duo just starred at me and said, "I know your secret, Amara. And I plan on killing you."

"What secret? Duo, I don't know what you mean!" I yelled.

Duo just glared at me with ice-cold eyes and said, "You think I would tell you, Amara! You should know your own secrets before sharing them."

"I have no secrets!" I yelled as I started to cry. "Duo, what are you talking about?"

The T-rex was getting closer and closer and I thought that this would be the end for me, but to my surprise Duo defeated the T-rex with just one blow.

"Wow, Duo, that was amazing!" I said sounding excited.

But then Duo turned his sword to me. "Now it's your turn to die, Amara," Duo said calmly.

"What? No, Duo, leave me alone!" I yelled as some other SeeD's came.

The flashback ended and I remember how I got like this. I hate not being able to open up to others, but because I put so much trust into Duo and he turned his back on me, I learned that I couldn't trust anybody, no matter how nice they are.
