Final Fantasy 8-2

Chapter 2: GF's World

"You are very lucky to be alive," Miss Trepe said.

"I'm not a little kid, so don't treat me like one," I said calmly.

"Alright, I wont treat you like a kid then. Well since you seem to be alright you may go and wait for the SeeD test results on the second floor hallway," Miss Trepe said.

I just nodded and went to the waiting area.

"Hey, Amara, so what did Miss Trepe say?" asked Heero as he came to me.

"Nothing much. So when are they going to come out with the results?" I asked back.

"Don't know," Heero replied.

After what Heero said the person with the results came to announce the results. The guy said, "Heero Starwind, Andrew Spyke, Vash Jet, and Amara Masumi. The four of you please follow me."

"Woooooo hoooo!" Heero shouted with glee.

We went to the headmaster Cid's office where Cid stated, "Good job you four. As of tomorrow you all should expect missions. These missions are to follow orders of the person who has asked for SeeD's help. You will be paid on these missions. I also expect you all to be on your best behavior."

Cid then walked over to us and handed us our diploma. He then whispered to us something different. To me Cid said, "Amara, don't let your leadership get in the way of friendship."

I just nodded as Cid said, " Dismissed.

On the way back to the classroom to make our speech I looked at my diploma. It stated:

I guess I did pretty well. I think I just needed to get 400 to become a SeeD.

I then reached back to the classroom and gave my speech. Afterwards I walked back to my dorm to change into my new SeeD uniform that awaited me. The uniform for the women was a shirt with a skirt. I never wore a skirt in my life so why start now. I went and asked for pants instead of the skirt but they said they couldn't give me the pants. I was pissed but I did wear the skirt. After that little brief incident I went to the SeeD party.

I am not really the type of person to party so I just stood in a corner watching others. After awhile Heero came up to me.

"Hey, Amara. Bet you feel happy to finally be a SeeD," Heero stated.

"Yeah, I guess," I replied.

"What's the matter?" He asked.

"It's nothing," I replied.

"Do you want to dance?" Heero then asked.

"Sure," I replied.

We danced for a while, but when it came to the song called Eyes on Me, I froze. I couldn't move.

"Amara, what's the matter?" Heero asked.

I couldn't say anything.

"Somebody, help me! Amara, I, I don't know what's going on or what's." Heero panicked.

"Calm down, Heero," Rinoa stated. She looked around and saw Andrew. "Andrew can you come here for a minute?"

"Yeah, sup?" Andrew asked.

"I want you and Heero to bring Amara to the infirmary," Rinoa said calmly. "I'm going to go ahead and inform Quistis."

"Heero, help me bring Amara to the infirmary," Andrew told Heero.

Heero shook his head in disbelief, but then said, "Right."

They brought me to the infirmary and lied me down on the table.

Trepe then started to look me over and said, "Shit, I should have known this would have happened. Amara's last GF is Shiva and well Shiva used to be Squall's GF. Shiva must be feeding Amara some of her own memories. When Amara summoned each of her three GF's, Amara let down her guard and Shiva started telling and giving Amara those memories of Squall. My guess is when Amara heard Eyes on me; she panicked because that song is Squall's song. We can't really do anything right now. All we can do is sit and wait and pray. Why don't you all get some sleep."

"All right, but wake me if anything happens," Andrew said as he left the infirmary.

"Can I stay by Amara's side and sleep by her tonight?" asked Heero.

"Something tells me you would stay by her side no matter what I said. There is another bed next door to this one. You can sleep there and you will be the first to know if anything happens," Trepe stated.

"Thank you," Heero said as he went to the room.

Everything was silent outside my dream. My dream was Squall was fighting Edea, the sorceress. I'm not sure how or why but Heero also is in my dream. The dream must be taking place a good two years ago, but why is Heero here. "Shiva?" I said. "Why is Heero here?"

The ice demon came over to me and held me like a mother would. "Amara, you also were here fighting along side Squall. All these memories are yours," Shiva said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What I am trying to tell you is that you are a GF. You are my daughter along with Iris's," Shiva stated.

"But that's impossible. If I was a GF then how the hell can I be living outside the GF's world?" I yelled.

"It was our wish, Amara. You were 16 when our wish came true. It was after the war. I was upset that your memories would be forgotten, but I wanted you to live a human's life," She said.

"Then why is Heero here, in this dream," I barked.

"He cares for you deeply, Amara. He is looking for you. You passed out at the party and Heero hasn't left your side. He shouldn't be here in this dream, but you and Heero have a very strong bond. That is why he is here. Now I must leave. You must wake up," Shiva said as she vanished from the dream.

I woke up from the dream. I looked around the room and saw nobody was here. I then got up and went next door and found Heero sleeping.

Heero stirred and then he woke up. "Amara, you're up. How are you feeling?" he asked.

"I'm fine. How long was I out for?" I asked back.

"Not even a day. Amara was I in your dream. I mean I saw you and Squall," he said.

"I think so. Did you hear what Shiva said to me in the dream?" I asked.

"I saw you two talking, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hear what you two were saying. If you don't mind me asking, what did you talk about?" Heero asked back.

"I'm not to good about sharing my dreams, but since you were kind of in the dream, I guess I could tell you. Shiva said I was her daughter and that I am a GF. She said she wished me to this world. She wanted me to have a human life, a life she could never have. Her wish came true, but knowing that I wouldn't remember anything from my past, she still wanted me to live this life. I don't know what Shiva said to me is true or not, but what does it matter," I stated.

"It matter's a lot, Amara. You said that when you first came here to Balamb Garden you didn't remember anything from your past. I think deep inside you really want to fine out your past. Amara, I just want you to know that you are not alone. I'm here and so is Andrew and the others," Heero lectured.

"Heero, I don't really think or believe that I have many friends, but for some reason you are getting close to me. I don't want anybody getting close to me because in the end the ones close to you are gone. So the act I put on is to keep people away from me. Why do you want to come close to me?" I asked.

"Because you are my friend, Amara. I don't want to see you end up alone. I guess I'm pretty bad at this," Heero said.

"I'm going to go get something to eat. I'll see you later," I said as I walked out the door.

"Wait! Um.let me buy you breakfast," Heero said as he caught up to me.

"You don't have to buy me breakfast. I got enough money," I said.

"But I want to," Heero pleaded like a little kid who doesn't always get their way.

We said nothing more. I stood in line in front of Heero for breakfast. As I waited my turn this one guy that was last in line kept yelling, " Save some hot dogs for me!"

It was my turn next and I asked the lady behind the counter, "How many hot dogs do you have left?"

"We have three left, but what I would like to know is why do kids like to eat hot dogs for breakfast," the lady stated.

"I'll take three hot dogs, a chicken salad, and two white milk," I said.

She got the items and rang the food up and said, "$7.75 please."

I paid her and turned around. The guy who was yelling save some hot dogs for me; came up to me and said, "You are one lucky person. You got the last hot dogs."

"I normally don't do this, but I decided to get the three hot dogs for you," I said as I gave him the hot dogs.

"Really! Thank you so much. Why don't you come and sit with me for breakfast. I'll pay you back for the hot dogs," he said. "Oh and by the way my name is Zell."

"I thought you looked familiar. You used to fight along side Lt. Squall. Nice to meet you, my name is Amara," I said as we sat down at a table.

"So are you training to become a SeeD?" asked Zell stuffing his mouth with hot dogs.

"You eat like a pig. And for your information I just became a SeeD yesterday," I stated.

"Yeah and so did I," Heero said sounding jealous.

"Who are you?" Zell asked with his mouth full.

"That is Heero. Heero this here is Zell," I stated.

"Nice to meet you, Heero," Zell said while cleaning his hand on his pants and then shakes hands with Heero.

"Same here," Heero said.

"So how old are you, Amara?" Zell asked.

"I am 18 and so is Heero," I said.

"Cool, I'm 20," Zell said as he finished eating.

The over voice then came on stating, "Will Heero, Amara, and Zell meet headmaster Cid at the front gates. I repeat will Heero, Amara, and Zell meet at the front gate."

"Well, that's weird. We all just met each other and now it looks like we will be on a mission together. Well, we better get going," Zell, stated as he got up.
