Slaves of Kassar

~a slave girl~

"That she who in her heart wants to be a slavegirl, is already a slavegirl..." ~ Tribesman of Gor

The single most important thing for a kajira to understand is that her primary duty is absolute obedience. slave training is deeply psychological.. Instilling in a woman that she is only a slave.. a kajira must learn more than the actions of a slave, she must learn how to be a slave in her mind and heart.

"What are my duties? I asked. Exquisite beauty and absolute obedience, said Sucha." ~Slave girl of Gor

Exquisite~ marked by flawless.. Beautiful, ingenious, delicate, or elaborate execution.. nice discrimination, deep sensitivity, or subtle understanding

beauty~ the quality or qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit

absolute~ means simply free from imperfection.. perfectly embodying the nature of a thing

obedience~ means submissive to the will of One and implies compliance with the demands or requests of One in Authority..

"Each of you must make your own choice. I caution you against one mistake, one common to stupid or uninformed girls. That is the mistake of thinking that you can escape the full implications of your position by merely adopting what you think is slave behavior. That is not true. Authentic slave behavior is motivated from within, and is the natural manifestation of the yielded slave herself. The will and consciousness within is that of a slave. This, then, issues in authentic slave behavior. There are many ways, responses to physical and psychological tests, and subtle behavioral cues, to tell if slave behavior is authentic or not. The choice, thus, is, in effect, one of whether you choose to become a total slave, surrendered and obedient, in your mind as well as your behavior, or die." ~kajira of Gor

"Sometimes a girl is whipped when she is first brought into a new house. It is regarded, in some cities, including Victoria, as a way of making clear to her that the house in which she now finds herself is a house in which she is a slave. Ten strokes more then did I administer to the fair beauty. "Too," I said, "earlier you dared to speak my name." "Forgive me Master" she sobbed. "That has earned you five extra stokes." I informed her. She moaned, and then was shaken five times, encircled in the burning lashes, being repaid for her insolence." ~Rogue of Gor , Page 129-130

"`In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal. You have no name in your own right. You may be collared and leashed. You may be bought and sold, whipped, treated as the master pleases, disposed of as he sees fit. You have no rights whatsoever. Legally you have no more status than a tarsk or vulo. Legally, literally, you are an animal.'" ~Explorers of Gor pg 316

"`What do you think should be her punishment ?' asked Callimachus of me. `If she is guilty,' I said, `whatever you wish, as she is a slave.' This was in full accord with Gorean law. Indeed, anything, for whatever reason, or without a reason, may be done to a slave." --p115, Guardsman of Gor

"`Any free man may discipline an insolent or errant slave,' I said, `even one who is the least bit displeasing, even one he might merely feel like disciplining. If she is killed, or injured, he need only pay compensation to her master, and that only if the master can be located within a specific amount of time and requests such compensation.' In virtue of such customs and statutes the perfect discipline under which Gorean slaves are kept is maintained and guaranteed even when they are not within the direct purview of their masters or their appointed agents." --pg.235, Players of Gor

Nature of a slave:

'No, no, no!' she wept. 'I am young but I am a woman, and alive! Do you think that intelligence and maturity are prerogatives only of such as you? I want to make a man happy, truly happy, in the fullest dimensions of his being, not a part of him, leaving the rest to hide. Or shrivel and die. I cannot know my bondage if he does not learn his mastery. Why should his birthright be denied to him, and mine to be? As a master needs a slave so, too, the slave needs the master.' Page 192 Magicians of GOR

I wanted a man who was greater than I, and incomparably so, one whom I must, in the order of nature obey, one to whom I must look up. and I did not care if it was from my knees, black with dust, a collar on my neck, naked, that I looked up to his glory. pg 91 Dancer of GOR

I was in misery, and overcome with contrition. How badly I had behaved! I had failed my first test with my master, whom I loved! Yet, too, I felt grandly and warmly reassured as to his strength and dominance. I knew then my master was Master, that he would never relinquish his sovereignty, that he was a true man. I was content now, and eager, a female, to be his perfect slave. If I had failed his test, he had passed mine.*~Dancers of Gor~*

I looked down upon her. "You are a wanton slave," I said. She looked up at me laughing, "A girl in a collar is not permitted inhibitions, "she said. It was true, slave girls must reveal their sexual nature, totally. Do they not do so , they are beaten. From Marauders of Gor, pg278

"It was the way I was supposed to kneel, and it was the way I would kneel, I decided, even before free women, if a man were present, unless he ordered me to kneel differently. It was to men that I belonged, not women. Let them rant! Let them cry out with rage.. I was proud to belong to men, to men such as those of this world! I would thus, rightfully and joyously, kneel before them as what I I was, a woman, and their slave." Dancer of Gor, page 84

"Tupita then came through the beaded curtain. She glanced at me. She was not pleased to see me in the arms of Mirus, who was a desirable male, and first among my master's men. She looked at me in hatred. She did not think twice about the position of my hands. She could see I had been "bound by the master's will." It could have been done as easily to her, at a word. She came close to Mirus. She licked at his shoulder. "Will you call for me tonight?" she asked. "No," he said. "Return to the floor" "Yes, Master," she said, and, with a look of fury, cast at me, slipped back through the curtain. "You are good for Tupita," he told me. "Because of you she is becoming more attentive and more desperate to please." Dancer of Gor pg 227-228

" 'Turian girls are proud,' said Kamchak. 'Thus, they make excellent slaves.' What he said did not surprise me. the Gorean Master, commonly, likes a spirited girl, one who fights the whip and collar, resisting until the last, perhaps months later, she is overwhelmed and must acknowledge herself his, utterly and without reservation, then fearing only that he might tire of her and sell her to another." Book 4, Nomads of Gor, page 29

`I exist for you,' she said, `and it is what I want, to please and serve you.' She was much in love. She wanted to give all of herself to him, unreservedly, to hold nothing back, to live for him, and, if necessary, to die for him. It is the way of the female in love, for whom no service is too small, no sacrifice too great, offering herself selflessly as an oblation to the master. Page 27 Magicians of GOR

`Beauty and intelligence are all well and good,' I said, `but the best slave is she who loves most deeply.' Page 204 Magicians of GOR

These, too, for she has invented them, are, to an astute Master, instructive; these intellectual, emotional exercises, performed by the girl under the condition of slavery, particularly if coupled with an enforced exercise regime, posing under male surveillance, and such, can do much to sensitize her to her collar; they awaken her body, and, of equal importance for the Gorean, though not for the Earthling, who sees sex with the perception of a hippopotamus, as a matter of body rubbings, her fantastic imagination and mind; she becomes curious, soon, about the deeper implications of what she is, a mere article of her Masters property; then, with authority, with assurance and power, to the depth and height of her mind and imagination she is taught; the slave girl experiences a paradox of freedom; the free woman is physically free, but miserable, fighting to be what she is not; the slave girl, physically in bondage, even to the collar, sometimes chains, is given no choice by men but to be totally and precisely what she is, slave; such women, slaves, interestingly, are almost always joyful and vital; they are paradoxically, in their feelings and emotions, liberated; they are not pinched, not psychologically restrained; why this should be I do not know; to see such women , their heads held high, their eyes bright, their bodies , movements, beautiful, as no earth woman would dare to be, is quite pleasurable; some of them are so insolent, so proud of their collars, that I have cuffed them to my feet, to remind them that they are only slaves. From Tribesmen of Gor, pg43

He had called me a "slut." I did not really mind this. Indeed, something in me relished it. I remembered how I had behaved in the furs. The expression was, perhaps, I thought, with a shudder, quite appropriate. Kajira of Gor pg 237-238

Of Custom, a slave girl may not even ascend the couch to serve her Masters pleasure. The point of this restriction , I suppose, is to draw a clearer distinction between her status and that of a Free Companion. At any rate the dignities of the couch are, by custom, reserved for the Free Companion. When a Master wishes to make use of a slave girl he tells her to light the lamp of love which she obediently does, placing it in the window of his chamber that they may not be disturbed. then with his own hand he throws upon the floor of his chamber luxurious love furs, perhaps from the larl itself, and commands her to them. From Priest Kings of Gor, pg68

"I will not try to escape, Master," said the girl. "I wonder," mused Marcus "I am collared," she said "I am branded." "True," said Marcus. In this way she had suggested that even if she might desire to escape such hope would be forlorn for her. She was reminding him of the categorically of her condition , its absoluteness, of the hopelessness of escape for such as she, A female held in Gorean bondage. For example , there are not only such obvious things as the collar and brand, and the distinctive garbing of the slave, but, far more significantly, the extreme closeness of the society, with its scrutiny of strangers, he general nature of an uncompromising culture, with its social, legal and institutional recognition of , and inflexible enforcement of, her condition. There is, accordingly, for all practical purposes, no escape for the Gorean slave girl. At best she might, at great risk to her own life, succeed in obtaining a new chaining, a new Master, and one who, in view of her flight, will undoubtedly see to it that she is incarcerated in harsher bondage than that from which she fled, to which, now , under her new strictures, she is likely to look back upon longingly. Similarly the penalties for attempted escape, particularly a second attempt, are severe, usually involving hamstringing. Only the most stupid of women dares even to think of escape, and then seldom more then once. From Magicians of Gor, pg32-33

The slave cannot free herself. She can be freed only by an owner. The condition of slavery does not require the collar, or the brand, or an anklet, bracelet or ring, or any such overt sign of bondage. Such things, as symbolic as they are, as profoundly meaningful as they are, and as useful as they are for marking properties, identifying masters, and such, are not necessary to slavery. They are, in effect, though their affixing can legally effect impoundment, ultimately, in themselves, tokens of bondage, and are not to be confused with the reality itself. The uncollared slave is not then a free woman but only a slave who is not then in a collar. Renegades of Gor - Page 273

The discipline of a slave may be attended to by any free person, otherwise she might do much what she wished, provided only her Master did not learn of it. The legal principle is clear, and has been upheld in several courts, in several cities, including Ar. Page 122 Magicians of GOR

"I wondered if a man could be a man without a slave. I supposed that he might be a strong fellow, and a good fighter and such, without a slave. Similarly, one might have lived, I supposed, without eating meat, without having heard music. I wondered if a woman knew what it was to be a woman without ever having had a master. It did not seem to me likely." Page 213 Magicians of GOR

One of the utilities of a slave, of course, is to occasionally serve as the helpless object upon which the Master may vent his dissatisfaction, his frustration or anger. Too, of course, they may serve many other related purposes, such as the relief of tensions, to relax oneself and even to calm oneself for clear thought. Page 134 Magicians of GOR

Slavery, of course, is the surest path by means of which a woman can discover her femininity. The paradox of the collar is the freedom which a woman experiences in at last finding herself, and becoming herself. Page 160 Magicians of GOR

Blood ran from my mouth; other blood I swallowed. My vision cleared; I could not believe the pounding of my heart. I had been cuffed. I knelt, terrified. At that time I did not realize how light had been my discipline considering the gravity of my offense. I had both spoken without permission, and broken position without permission. Most simply, I had been displeasing to a free man. Slave Girl of Gor - Page 34

"Do masters ever love their slaves?" she asked. "Often," I said. Blood Brothers of Gor - Pages 101 and 113

"There is a difference' laughed Hassan, 'between the pride of a free woman and the pride of the slave girl. The pride of a free woman is the pride of a woman who feels herself to be the equal of a man. The pride of the slave girl is the pride of the girl who knows that no other woman is the equal of herself.' " Book 10, Tribesmen of Gor, page 333

'But what if he is weak?' she begged. 'Continue to serve him, in the fullness of your slavery, begging him for the least of his kisses, the most casual of his caresses. Even such small attentions, you will discover, now that you have become sensitized to your slavery, will be precious to you.' 'But what if he is stupid?' she asked. 'Beg him to sell you, or give you away,' I said, 'that you may, if only in being sold off on the block, come into the collar of another, one capable of satisfying what you are, a slave.' 'But what if he will not sell me, or give me away?' she said. 'Then,' said I angrily, 'that is how it will be, for it is you who wear the collar. He is the master. You are the slave.' pg 233-234 Magicians of Gor

Love on Gor does not purchase a girl lenience; it does not mitigate her bondage, nor compromise her servitude, but rather renders it the more complete, the more helpless and abject. Tribesmen of Gor - Page 214

Collar:

She wore the Turian collar, rather than the common slave collar. The Turian collar lies loosely on the girl, a round ring; it fits so loosely that, when grasped in a man's fist, the girl can turn within it; the common Gorean collar, on the other hand, is a flat, snugly fitting steel band. Both collars lock in the back, behind the girl's neck. The Turian collar is more difficult to engrave, but it, like the flat collar, will bear some legend assuring that the girl, if found, will be promptly returned to her master. Bells had also been afflicted to her collar.-Nomads of Gor pg. 29

The brand is impersonal; the collar is intensely personal; the brand marks her property; the collar proclaims whose property she is . . . the brand relationship to the free man is institutional; the collar relationship, on the other hand, is an intensely personal one. Tribesmen of Gor - Page 42

What is the common purpose of a collar? The collar has four common purposes, Master, she said. First, it visibly designates me as a slave, as a brand might not, if it should be covered by clothing. Second, it impresses my slavery upon me. Thirdly, it identifies my master. Fourthly .fourthly. Fourthly? he asked. Fourthly, she said, it makes it easier to leash me. He kicked her in the side. She winced. Her response had been slow .Explorers of Gor; p. 80

An additional utility of the collar, though it did not count as one of its four common purposes, was that it made it easier to put the girl in various ties. For example, one can use it to tie her hands before her throat, or at the sides or back of her neck. One can use it with, say, rope or chain, to fasten girls together. One can tie her feet to her collar, and so on. If the feet are tied to the collar the knot is always in the front, so that the pressure will be against the back of the girls neck and not the front. The purpose of such a tie is to hold the slave, not choke her. Gorean men are not clumsy in their binding of women.-Explorers of Gor; p. 80

I could see the heavy metal collar hammered about the man's neck, not uncommon in a male slave. His head would have been placed across the anvil, and the metal curved about his neck with great blows. Hunters of Gor; p. 13

That the collar was locked did not simply mean that she could not remove it, a fact which played its important role in guaranteeing slave recognition and identification, but, perhaps even more importantly, was momentous in its significance of bondage. A brand might be concealed by clothing, even the brief garb commonly allotted a female slave, but the collar, consistently and openly, proclaimed her girl property. The collar, stressing her vulnerability as a slave, is sexually exciting to the girl who wears it, and to the men who look upon it. Perhaps that is why free women do not wear collars. The steel on her lovely throat, lost beneath her hair, glinting beneath it, contrasting so with her delicious softness, is sexually and aesthetically maddening. No girl is so beautiful, I suspect, as she who wears a Gorean slave collar. Slave Girl of Gor; p. 402

A bit on Masters "But a Gorean Master will know every inch, and care for every inch of one of his slave girls. He will know every hair, every sweet blemish on her. In a way she is nothing to him, for she is only slave. But in another way she is very important to him. She is one of his women. He will want to know her completely, every inch of her body, every inch of her mind. Nothing less will satisfy him. She is his property. He will choose to know his property thoroughly." Hunters of Gor, page 145

Among many men, it might be mentioned, however, the monthly anniversary of a girl's acquisition would be celebrated each month with special ceremonies and rites is not surprising. These numerous anniversaries are deliciously celebrated, as they may be with a girl who is only a slave, and seldom forgotten; should such an anniversary be forgotten, should it be such that it is commonly celebrated, the girl redoubles her efforts to please, fearing she is to be soon sold. pg 66 Slave Girl of GOR
