Rules & Guidelines

General Rules and Guidelines:

The Ubars word is absolute law. All other rules and guidelines fall under this first and foremost rule.

This is a Gorean Wagon camp, and all within it will observe this, and behave in a manner that promotes this. Things pertaining to r/t will remain in r/t or at the very least in PM.

Members will make a point of being in camp on a regular basis. If you cannot be here for an extended period of time, leave a note on the boards to that effect. If it is observed that you are consistently not here, and without good reason, you may find your tags revoked and yourself without a home.

Members will respect the property of others. No Member may kill or maim in any way, a slave that does not belong to them. If the slave becomes unruly, or displeasing in behavior, cage them or otherwise administer a suitable punishment that reflects the nature and severity of the offense.

If you are going to ask a slave to serve you, then be sure you are able to commit the time to paying attention to that slave. Make comments, let them know you are watching them. If the slaves do not feel they are part of the camp, they will eventually leave.

All Members of the camp are to stay busy; even the Free have work to do to keep the camp thriving and looking active. Tend to your chosen trade, be it leatherworker, slave trainer etc. A busy camp is far more realistic and also appealing to visitors.

Members with slaves of their own are responsible to assure that these slaves are in camp, and working on a regular basis at chores, and serving as needed. Set an example, do not keep your slave sitting on your lap the entire time they are in camp. This is a working camp, all slaves need to do chores and not be lazy.

Any new slave collared to the camp or one of its Members will begin at the level of camisk until they have been assessed and shown themselves to understand and abide by our ways.

Slaves seeking collars will first be collared to camp for an initial period of adjustment and training before they may be gifted or sold into a personal collar unless otherwise decided by the Ubar.

The avatars worn by Free Women in this camp will be a suitable representation of a Free Woman of Kassar. There will be no outward showing of cleavage, inappropriate attire or any depictions of the Woman in a sexual or otherwise provocative pose. You will receive one warning if your avatar is deemed inappropriate; following that you stand a very good chance of feeling the steel about your neck. If you are uncertain of what is acceptable, present your avatar to the Ubar for his approval in advance.

slave Rules:

A slave is property. You have no rights or possessions; absolute obedience and exquisite beauty govern your existence, and all other things fall under this.

Unruly, disobedient and otherwise disruptive slaves will not be tolerated in this camp. While you are here you are to be pleasing in any way you possibly can; even if you believe the Free to be difficult, it is not your place to judge or correct, but only to serve and to please.

Do not argue with free persons; they may not always be right, but they are never wrong; the slave has the last word and that is "yes Master".

There will be no crying, complaining, whining or bitching of any kind. Slaves are to be pleasing at all times. If r/t is getting you down, keep it in r/t; it does not belong in camp. Melodrama, and ridiculous attempts to call attention to yourself will not be tolerated.

Technically speaking a wagon camp is never empty, and no slave is ever left to her own devices. Therefore, it is impossible that a slave could be allowed the means to take her own life; consequently cyber suicides will not be recognized. This same rule applies for runaway slaves.

If you decide to run away, your character will be considered dead, having been either eaten by sleen or captured and killed by an outrider. Your characters death will be posted on the message board as well as the message board of every active Gorean chat site.

Some reminders:

Slaves will not interfere with, nor concern themselves with the matters of the Free.

Any slave that is going to be away from camp for an extended period of time must leave word of this on the boards so that we know they will be away.

All slaves will perform regular camp chores. If you haven't time to serve, or do chores, don't come to camp.

Squabbles between the slaves will be dealt with by the slaves in private; they are not to disrupt the camp.

Slaves will not speak the name of any Free. You will refer to them as Master or Mistress, unless the Free person has instructed you of another preference.

Slaves will not discuss the sale or purchase of slaves, particularly the sale or purchase of themselves. This is a matter for the Free.

Camp owned slaves will not travel unless escorted by a Free for a special event.

If you havent actually roleplayed drinking slavewine, it is implied that you did when you came. There will be NO "oops I'm pregnant" in Kassar.

Slaves will not use abbreviations such as wb, A/all. This shows laziness. The entire word or words must be typed out.

Slaves will greet individually on entering and leaving. If necessity calls for speed, the slave may wish well in groups, i.e. (name) wishes the Masters well, (name) wishes the Mistresses well. The order of greeting: This is an online invention. In Kassar there is no rule for slaves to greet in any particular order but, this doesnt not mean for slaves to purposely disregard persons by omitting a greeting. Keep in mind the goings on or location of the persons present when greeting, this is the most logical guideline.

Slaves may greet using Tal or greetings, as it was shown in the books that both are acceptable.

Slaves may speak in first person, unless being disciplined or otherwise instructed by their owner.

Slaves will greet all Free persons when they arrive. If the master or mistress is new to the camp and/or unknown to you, wait until a Member has greeted and cleared them before you do. (obviously this does not apply if there are no Free in camp)

All slaves will beg permission to leave and WAIT for a reply unless it is an emergency. In the case of such a RTI you may simply post your apology then leave immediately.

Once a slave has been granted permission to leave, she will do so, with brief goodbyes and then depart. No lingering and chatting--if you must go, then go.

It is only after you are certain that all have been attended to that you may devote your attention to one in particular or see to your chores and studies. Slaves may also play games or swim or otherwise entertain themselves and the free once theyve seen that all have been served. We are here to enjoy ourselves, after all.

Slaves will no longer offer to serve the Free of Kassar. It is not necessary for the Free to have to wait for a slave to ask them if they want something. Free persons will call upon the slave of their choice should they wish anything of them. In the meantime, slaves will be busy at other tasks. Use the location pulldowns so that it is apparent where you are within the camp so that you may be easily called upon.

Slaves will, however, continue to offer to serve visitors until such time that people become aware of our ways and will no longer expect to have to wait for an offer of service.

All slaves will follow the basic serving guidelines explained to you on the serving page.Serving posts will be no less that what is demonstrated unless the free person commands Harta!

When serving, your attention will be 100% on the one whom you serve. This means you do not greet, speak or even look at another until you have been released from the serve you are currently performing. To do otherwise is disrespectful and unacceptable. From the moment you are commanded to serve, your attention is to remain on the one that you serve until you are dismissed. You will also follow the basic serving guidelines explained to you on the serving page.

After serving you will immediately busy yourself with other tasks. Kassar has no serving furs. There is no place for a kajira to just park it and sit. If you are lacking something to do, check the extensive chores list and/or ask one of the Free or the trainers in camp to provide you with something. If you are performing a kneeling-type chore, such as mending, sewing or weaving, you will do so at a nearby Master's furs, keeping him company, or if you wish to be out of the way, you may kneel in the dirt.

When chores are done and there is no need for you to serve, then the slaves are permitted to give full attention to their master or mistress, or chat and have fun with your fellow slaves, playing games etc.

Last but not least, the made up language that isnt from the books is not used here. We are masters or mistresses, sisters or brothers, no Vanashes or Avanshias or any jerags etc. Also the three steps back and five heartbeats is not promoted, nor is testing/tasting or sweetening of drinks. However, always remember that the free person is always right and if you are asked to taste or sweeten a drink, you will immediately comply with grace and beauty.

My title of Ubar is reserved for the use of Free persons. All slaves will address me as Master.

Serve well kajira
