During every month you'll be getting a feast of photos, Bible passages that are significant to my life at that time, a fortnightly news round up and plenty more lil gifts in a new scrapbook style. Have a great year all. |
Holy Holy Holy (as sung by Revelation Rock-Gospel Choir, taught by Basil Meade of London Community Gospel Choir, and sung everyday since by numerous Revelation members anywhere they go!) I will praise the Lord Jesus always, For his goodness and his mercy everyday, I will praise the Lord Jesus always, Come now Jesus and inhabit our praise. Holy Holy Holy, Holy Holy Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty. Worthy to receive glory, Worthy to receive honour, Worthy to receive all our praise today. Praise Him! Praise Him and lift Him up! Praise Him! Exalt His name for ever!
16/03/04 The final two weeks of term left me somewhat physically and emotionally exhausted. There'd been some fun times in it though, notably the Revelation concert, which took a lot of effort; but turned out fantastic. Term ended with a weekend away with the students at Westwood church which was great fun and lifted my spirits for today's trip home for the Easter holidays.
31/03/04 The Easter break has given me a good chance to catch up with old friends, particularly Bex with her new house and plans for her wedding with Ian in September. Working away I've now completed my business plan and done a fair bit of revision so we're on our way but still lots to do before the summer term! Oh dear! To finish the month I bought the new England shirt today.

15/01/04 It was back to uni after Christmas and the 1st half of January has been a time of change. Firstly, the step down to a close friendship with my still dear dear friend Fi and secondly, a 100% lecture count. 18/18 thus far! Ecclesiates 3 really does say it so well and verse 14 also says "I know that everything God does will endure for ever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken away from it. God does it, so men will revere him."
31/01/04 Lecture count 40/42. Still only a 5% margin of error though! Much of the last couple of weeks has been spent working towards the CU events week, my part being logistical, lots of running about and carrying! If you wanna check out what it's all about click life, it's a great website, do explore and read through.
| EVERY LITTLE THING taken from delirious? World Service Everything must change Theres a mirror showing me the ugly truth These bones they ache with holy fire But Ive got nothing to give, just a life to live If your world is without colour I will carry you, if you carry me Every little things gonna be alright Every little things gonna be alright [x2] Theres no-one else to blame I live my life between the fire and the flame Ive built my house where the ocean meets the land Its time to live again, pull my dreams out of the sand Let your world be full of colour I will carry you, if you carry me When its all falling down on you Youre crying out but youre breaking in two When its all crashing down on you When theres nothing you can do There is someone who can carry you 2003 Smith/Garrard // Curious? | Switchfoot: 'This is Your Life' from The Beautiful Letdown Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead, yesterday is a promise you've broken Don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes, this is your life. And today is all you've got now. And today is all you've ever had. Don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes. This is your life, are you who you want to be? This is your life, are you who you want to be? This is your life, is it everything that you dreamed that it would be when the world was younger, and you had everything to lose? |

29/02/04 As half term took over the non-university educational world, my bro Jon came to stay with me up here in Cov, was a laugh to see everyone confusing us and also his age! Nothing much happened in the next couple of weeks, but that's life! The month ended with the CU leaders weekend at Quinta Hall. It was a great time of fellowship, teaching, snow and early hours card games.
15/02/04 These past 2 weeks have been spent looking forward to the weekend's events mainly. On Feb 7th I went to see Jimmy White and co play in the Masters at Wembley and then on Feb 14th Revelation got to performed at the Law Ball and we had free after-dinner access. It was a great night, thanks to all involved! This months bible passage really struck me and has now been used in lots of different ways including a 10:25 bible study!
1 Thessalonians 5 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labour pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Ecclesiastes 3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
1 Kings 19:1-9 Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, "May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them." Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD ," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors." Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, "Get up and eat." He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you." So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night.
