01/10/09 - The Forrest Discount card is available for sale all year long. It has 16 local businesses on the back that offer discounts every time you visit. The card is only $10 and it is good for an entire year. This is much better than the Discount Coupon book that Entertainment sells for $25. Please purchase this card and use it often. You get back the value of the card after 3-4 uses. Help the children of Forrest School with a purchase of this card. See a H&S representative in Room B-1 for more information. |

01/10/09 - H&S membership is vital to any school's success. We need as many parents as possible to get involved in their children's education. An involved parent helps the student achieve at a higher level. Parent involvement also helps student behavior and attendance. At Forrest, the H&S could use all the help it can get. Please join our H&S! Membership dues are only $5 per family. All proceeds go directly back into the school for all of our Forrest children. |

01/10/09 - We need your help! H&S is always looking for parents who want to be involved in their child's education. Each one of us has a certain skill that can be used in our school in some way. Feel free to seek out a H&S board member and talk to them about it. We accept anyone who has interest in helping us help the students of Forrest School. You can find some of us in the library first thing in the morning. Come on down and speak with us. With our school growing, we need to grow so that we can continue to do everything we have always done; and more. Please take that next step and help out at your school. We would be most appreciative. |

01/10/09 - Forrest T-Shirts are available for purchase all year round. It is necessary that each student wear this shirt on their designated gym day. The shirt will also be worn when your child's class goes on a trip. There are a few trips being planned at school and your child needs to have the Forrest T-shirt to attend. Forrest Spirit Wear also is available all year round. Order forms are on the parent desk outside Room 103. Fill out the form, indicate the size(s), place in envelope and send it in with your child. The child's teacher will put the form in our mailbox and we will fill the order(s) as they come to us. The order(s) will be brought to the child's class. If there are any questions, please see a H&S rep for more information or email us at [email protected]. Thank you! |

11/21/08 - FINALLY!! The Primary Education Center at Forrest is finally complete and ready for students in Grades K-2. A ceremony by the School District took place on November 21, 2008 to dedicate our new building. Senator Stack, State Rep. McGeehan, Councilwoman Krajewski, top brass from the School District and many other dignitaries attended the event. State Rep. Mike McGeehan and one of our teachers, Mr. David Bremme both attended Forrest in their youth. They sang the school song during the event. I hope they keep their day jobs! |
