FORREST SCHOOL LIBRARY
HONORARY CHAIRMAN, State Senator Mike Stack
With the news about closing some of our neighborhood libraries constantly in the news, the local schools need to step up and make their library program even better.

The Forrest Elementary School is excited to announce the opening of its' school library once again in October.  The Forrest School library, now staffed with a full-time LIMA; will be ready to open the doors and welcome our school children to a world of imagination through books.

Classroom schedules have been created so that each class gets to visit the library and check out books.  Also built into the schedule are times available for research using our laptop computers.

It has been an exciting but challenging journey to reopen the Forrest School library.  Home and School thanks everyone, past and present, who have been involved in reaching our goal, especially the Forrest School community.

If you have an interest in volunteering your time in the library, or if you or someone you know can donate new or gently used books, please email H&S at
