| Forrest Elementary is a Northeast Region, K-6 school nestled securely in the Holmesburg/Mayfair community. Current enrollment for the 2008/09 school year is approximately 934+ students. The school has many programs to benefit your child's education. Forrest has Mentally Gifted, Odyssey of the Mind, Fast Forward, First in Math and Instrumental Music programs; ESOL, and many after-school clubs for one to take advantage of. Forrest School also celebrates the opening of the Primary Education Center (PEC) for grades K-2. The new building allows Forrest School to gradually move to the K-8 grade setting in a few years. The staff at Forrest is exceptional, professional and caring. We have the top teachers at our school!! Most importantly, it is a very safe environment for your child to learn. |

Principal Patricia Epps is entering her fifth year as the Forrest headmaster. She is very compassionate in her endeavors to make Forrest a much better place for our children now, and in the future. She truly has made a difference in the climate of our school. With her at the helm, Forrest School will reach even greater heights. Assistant Principal Jeff Winokur will begin his third year at Forrest. He has been a most welcome addition and has brought about many new initiatives at our school. He works very well with Principal Epps. His strengths include discipline, communication and cooperation. He is a team player and he will do whatever it takes to make Forrest a safe environment for our children. |
