Well, the cage we had previously kept our Western Mud Snake, Hawk, in was to be scrubbed clean and lined with paper towels.
As I readied the hose to give it a good blast of water I noticed my dog, Scout, frantically nosing what looked to be a very fuzzy something. So... the squirrel had a brother. My friend and I spent some time searching and scanning the flower beds for more but found none.
They were fed warm sugar water (cow's milk provides no to minimum nutrition) and some very small pieces of broccolli, which it is said they are old enouhg to eat if their eyes are open.
That was one good thing they had going for them- they were babies, but grown up enough so that they were strong enough to care for and still have a good chance.

Found the squirrels today and fed them warm sugarwater. They seem very active, one of them especially. We will contact the vet tomorrow.
Well, the weaker, less actvive squirrel died a day after the above entry. Sorry I've been so long getting back on. Anyway, the other we named 'Moose,' just to be different but to still keep in time with the whole 'Rocky&Bullwinkle' thing. He's very active and eats like a pig! We've been giving him puppy formula, and lately tiny pieces of cantelope. He really like to suck and lick on them. The heat lamp went out, so he was put in a smaller terrarium and put in my parents' bathroom. Just the other day we brought the big one in, and he's climbing all over the place. I cleaned all of the snake's old stuff and he's having a good time climbing on them and exploring the toilette paper roll. We had him for over a week, so we're thinking he's gong to make it just fine!
