I love this book. There is nothing like knowing how horses think to kick your horsemanship up another notch. Ignore the brief reference to Evoloution and you've got a great book.
John Lyons is a wonderful horse trainer. He uses simple, down-to-earth methods anyone can use. He believes in patience and consideration for the horse. From what I've read so far, anything he writes is definetly worth reading.

It seems like all the good horse books out there are by English riders, so I was very happy to find one that caters to the Western rider as well. This covers everything. Yes, everything. One of my most favorite books.
Voice is the official Tennessee Walking magazine. There's not really much in there, to tell you the truth, except for pictures and stud adds. But if you just enjoy looking at these gorgeous horses, then you'll probably like it as much as I do: a lot. There is an occasional training tips page, and they always have show updates and some fun contests to enter, too. All in all it's interesting.
This has got to be the all-time best horse magazine ever. There's always something helpful. They have everything from training tips to the latest in grooming supplies, from money-saving advice to veterinary guidance, plus a whole lot more. We save every issue.
I don't actually subscribe to this magazine, but I have a friend who does (or did) and the information in this magazine is invaluable. Lots of stuff besides just Quarter horses, so it's really great for any owner of any breed.
This magazine is really a lot more about the Western lifestyle than it is about horses, but it's a great magazine with lots of cool stuff.
