On March 10, 2001, Lair No. 1 met at Max's Allegheny Tavern for a Rascal Challenge presentation by Ron DiOrio. He was challenged to find out a variety of things: 1) what happened to the telescope lens in the Buhl Observatory; 2) what happened outside of Poli's Restaurant; 3) what are the origins of beer? Apparently he settled on the question of what happened to the missing telescope lens.
