Six of the Seven Seals

See comments

(In this chapter the Lamb representing innocent victims, especially Jesus, takes revenge on humanity and reveals the divine purpose of history.)

I saw the Lamb had opened the 1st of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice that sounded like thunder, "Come!"
(The four living creatures are the spirits of the four elements. The first one is number 0 or 10 representing the element of water, the force of creation and love [ luv ] symbolized by the bow. This chapter tells us how the spirits of the four elements affect humanity today and in the near future, see 4:7.)

(2) I saw a white horse and its rider was holding a bow.
(Here we meet the Rider on the White Horse for the first time. He will be the dreaded executor of the legacy of Jesus, who will gain political importance throughout the world after defeating the Beast, see 19:11. False prophets, who proclaim pleasant doctrines for money, dread him so much that they usually understand this politician as a negative figure, a kind of deceiver. Others may say he is Jesus, which has the same effect: discouraging anybody from trying to fulfil this prophecy. The White Horse is the symbol of ancient Britain before the Norman conquest, when "England" was still the land of the "angels". When the first beast arrived in 1066, England died, a disaster which was announced by a comet. 931 years later the removal of the second Beast was announced by comet Hale-Bopp. Soon the White Horse will be back. England will be the source for the creation of a New Age. St. George, the patron saint of England is usually shown sitting on a white horse, when he kills the dragon, but he never existed and should be understood as a prophecy of the Rider on the White Horse from the Revelation. The War against the Dragon is also a quotation from the Revelation, see 12:7. People have realized the importance of these prophecies for Britain in the past. In 14:14 we meet the shape of the bow again in the form of a sickle, see Isaiah 41:2.)
He was given a crown and he rode out as a conqueror to triumph.

(3) When the Lamb had opened the 2nd seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"
(This living creature is number 6, the element of fire symbolized by the colour red, the sword and the lion, see 4:7, 15:7.)

(4) Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. He was given a large sword.
(This rider represents the element of fire: destruction through violence and wars as God's revenge for the murder of Jesus and other martyrs and the failure to learn from their wisdom, see chapter 9.)

(5) When the lamb had opened the 3rd seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!"
(This living creature is number 4, the element of earth: money, exploitation and greed, see 4:7.)
I saw a black horse and its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
(The scales symbolize business)

(6) Then I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures saying, "One kilo of wheat for a day's wages, and three kilos of barley for a day's wages,
(In the past and in some places of the world today people have to work hard all day, yet they can just about afford to feed their family.)
and don't touch the oil and the wine!"
(In many places of the world today people have to survive on bread and rice. Oil and wine are a luxury to them.)

(7) When the Lamb had opened the 4th seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"
(This living creature is number 8, the element of air. Thinking, ideas and science have been perverted to do much damage, see 4:7, 9:1 and 9:2.)

(8) I saw there was a pale horse and its rider was named Death. Hell was following him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by the sword,
(The sword symbolizes war. The most obvious example of perverted thinking is modern technology of warfare.)
famine,
(Modern science has created the means to increase food production, yet more people are starving these days than ever before. The reason for this is greed as the basis of modern civilization. It has disrupted the traditional social structures that used to support individuals in need, and it is destroying the foundation of human life through environment pollution and over-exploitation.)
diseases,
(The unhealthy living conditions of many people in "Third World" slums have also lead to and enormous increase in deaths through infectious diseases.)
and by the wild beasts of the earth.
(Earth is a symbol for money. The wild beasts of the earth symbolize sheer greed as the cause for our current disasters predicted in the Book of Revelation.)

(9) When he had opened the 5th seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been murdered because of the word of God and the opinions they had expressed.

(10) They cried out in a loud voice, "How long, Almighty Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and take revenge on them for our blood?"
(These saints are innocent victims who have formed a destructive force of retaliation. In 5:8 the destructive power of these innocent victims is symbolized by "golden bowls full of incense". Here they urge God to take revenge and in 8:3 the incense symbolizing and leading to a major disaster is thrown on the earth.)

(11) Then each of them was given a white gown,
(The white gown symbolizes an advanced stage of spiritual development, see 3:4, 7:13, 19:8, 19:14. The souls of these innocent victims will get a special status after their physical death, see 5:12, 12:11, 14:13.)
and they were told to rest a little longer until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who had to be killed as they had been was complete.
(The destructive force of retribution has to build up to reach a certain strength before disasters actually happen as a punishment. The meaning of human history is that a certain number of these souls with their special status is required for the next world. All the human suffering that has happened in 4 million years of history serves the purpose to provide this predetermined number of tested and proved souls.)

(12) When he had opened the 6th seal, I saw a great earthquake.
(The 6th seal could be a vision of a nuclear bomb explosion, the ultimate technique of destruction ever invented by human beings to punish themselves for their own wickedness. It could also predict a meteorite colliding with earth as the ultimate divine punishment.)
The sun went black like a bag made of coarse black cloth,
(Such a giant explosion causes a lot of dust in the atmosphere which darkens sunlight.)
the whole moon went like blood,
(The moon is a also a symbol for the element of water meaning emotions and blood is the symbol for their most destructive type: hatred, anger, rage.)

(13) and the stars in the sky fell down to earth,
like a fig-tree drops his figs when shaken by a storm.
(The image of the figs shows that unlike in 12:4 something is literally falling to the ground: missiles carrying nuclear warheads, comets or meteorites have a bright appearance like stars.)

(14) The sky moved away like a scroll rolling up,
 The Final Punishment
(Everybody has seen a mushroom cloud. At its edges dust is curling while it spreads, a spectacular vision of amazing accuracy.)
and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
(Compared to modern nuclear warheads or the destruction caused by a meteorite colliding with Earth the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs were Christmas crackers, see 4:5, 8:5, 11:19, 16:18, 18:21.)

(15) Then the Kings of the Earth, the rulers, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and every free human being
(At last an old dream fulfilled: all men are equal.)
hid in caves and in the rocks of the mountains.
(Bunkers and air-raid shelters, see Isaiah 2:10.)

(16) They said to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us
(See 9:6)
and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne
(At last the Lord God Almighty takes revenge for all the evil ever done to innocent victims in human history.)
and from the anger of the Lamb,
(As people still refuse to regret the murder of Jesus on the cross, as the priests of Satan still tell their sheep that the murder of Jesus brought salvation, which means: the world was better off without Jesus, as they insist that this murder removed sins, which means Jesus was the sinner, as the rulers of the world still refuse to govern according to the teachings of Jesus, punishment has been overdue and now it comes, see 1:5.)

(17) because the great day of their anger has come, and who can stand?"
(The only way to get forgiveness is through repentance. Without it punishment is certain. It may affect the children, grandchildren or great-great-great ... grandchildren of the perpetrators, but it is sure to come.)
