The Most Famous Person of All Times

See comments
(This chapter can be understood as dealing among other things with Princess Diana. In verses 1,2 and 3 the prophet has a vision introducing the Woman in symbolic language: nationality, name and attitudes she represented.)
(1) A great and wonderful sight appeared in the sky:
A woman clothed with the sun, (The sun is a symbol for the element of
fire, so is the
lion. England is the country with the Lion symbol, which can also be called the country of the sun. "Clothed with the sun" can mean she was English. Red is the colour symbolizing fire.)

with the moon under her feet, (In Roman Mythology Diana is the goddess of the moon. The moon is also a symbol for the element of
water. Traditionally the "Virgin" Mary has often been portrayed standing on a Moon crescent. Unlike my explanation traditional theology has no facts to link Mary to the moon and to this chapter of the Revelation.)
and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
(In the Bible "stars" is often the symbol of the Jews [including Christians, because Jesus was a Jew]. The number 12 symbolizes holiness. Head symbolizes thinking and attitudes.)
(2) She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. (In Roman Mythology Diana is also the goddess of childbirth. The woman giving birth clothed with the sun has been connected to the fact that Prince William's birthday is 21st June, the summer solstice.)
(3) Then another sight appeared in the sky: an enormous red dragon
(The sign of Wales referring to the title "Princess of Wales". However the
Dragon is also a symbol of evil, particularly the evil culture. Red is the colour of
fire. Here chapter 12 has its first turning point: Now it continues with evil perpetrated by the various dragons.)
with seven heads (Seven is the number of magic and occultism. Head is a symbol for thinking and culture, seven heads means that the culture includes occult means, e.g. commercial manipulation of people's subconscious minds through the media.)
and ten horns (Ten is the number of perfection, horn symbolizes power, ten horns means perfect power, see also
13:1,
17:3,
17:12.)
and seven crowns on his heads. (The important difference to the beast from
13:1 and
17:3 is that the Beast has the crowns on its horns, while the Dragon has them on its heads. This means that the Dragon represents the cultural background, while the beast represents the state and political power. Both of them have seven heads and ten horns, which means they represent the same system.)
(4) His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and threw them to the earth. (One third is the reciprocal value of three, the opposite of the number of God. One third means the ungodly part, see
8:7,
9:1,
9:15. In the Bible stars are a symbol for Jews and Christians, see
2:1. The evil culture of the Dragon has caused an ungodly part of the Jews and Christians to be materialistic,
earth orientated, see
8:10,
8:12,
9:1.)
The Dragon (The Red Dragon is also the heraldic sign of the Prince of Wales.)
stood in front of the Woman who was about to give birth, (In the symbolic language of the Bible birth may include the whole process of upbringing.)
so that he might devour (gain control over)
her child the moment it was born. (5) She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron sceptre. (Modern weapons are largely made of iron, see
2:27,
19:15.)
But her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. (There seems to be a contradiction between "ruling all the nations with an iron sceptre" and being "snatched up to God and to his throne". As the next verse shows the fate of individuals is not completely predetermined. To some extent the Son has a choice to decide which way to go.)
(6) The Woman fled into the desert (left her country)
to a place prepared for her by God, where she could be taken care of for 1260 days. (Three and a half years, numbers have symbolic meaning: 3 is the number of God, 4 is the number of earth, for three and a half years means until God's power comes to the earth. This predicted possibility did not materialize: she could have been taken care of abroad, but she decided against it, see
verse 14.)
(7) And war broke out in heaven. (The second turning point of this chapter: heaven here symbolizes the element of
air: the spirituality of people, their ideas and the way they think. The Internet as the facility for people to exchange ideas with little interference belongs to the element of air. This war might largely be fought on the Internet and the electronic book in front of you may turn out to be a powerful weapon.)
Michael (In Germany "Michael" is the stereotype for any German. The name Michael can be translated: "Who is like God", which means that this person exposes false gods such as the Dragon, see
13:4, money, celebrities, see
14:9, and self-declared "Lords", see
13:6,
19:16, see also Daniel 10 and 12.)
and his angels (supporters; according to chapter 2 and 3 "angels" symbolize important people.)
fought against the Dragon, (Evil and destructiveness especially in the
City of the Dragon, where it originated. According to
13:4 the Dragon is worshipped as a false god.)
and the Dragon and his angels (supporters, especially his speaker, the
Beast)
fought back. (8 weeks after this book went on the Internet, on 6/3/97 the Beast and her supporters started to fight back with
their site on the Internet, which is supposed to overpower you with pictures and meaningless personal details of these Superstars to promote their worship in fulfilment of
14:9.)
(8) But he was defeated and they lost their place in heaven. (Destructiveness is first abolished in the way people think and their culture, see
21:2.)
(9) The great Dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth and all his angels with him. (By attacking the Woman, endangering and not protecting her life the Dragon has exposed his previously hidden satanic nature, which leads to his final overthrow, see
6:2.)
(10) Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of God, and the authority of his Messiah (the political leader who rules according to the principles and teachings of Jesus and other prophets)
have come. For the accuser of our brothers, (The Dragon representing evil people who like to tell or print lies about others; soon we will see how the British Press symbolized by the Dragon printed lies and libel about the Woman.)
who accuses them before God day and night, (through these lies)
has been overthrown. (This verse suggests that abuses by the British Press may well be an important factor contributing to the downfall of this political system.)
(11) Our brothers and sisters defeated him by the sacrifice of the Lamb (The ideas and political principles pronounced by Jesus despite the foreseeable threat to his life. However the one sided insistence on Jesus is a trick by corrupt theologians to restrict the meaning of religion to the past and metaphysics for the benefit of the ruling class who pay them. We should understand the lamb as a symbol for any innocent victim of ruthlessness killing people for their opinions or their kindness. In our time this particularly applies to Princess Diana, whose death will have far ranging political effects that may well bring down the Dragon and the two
Beasts, see
5:6,
5:12,
6:11,
14:13.)
and by expressing their opinions; (demanding that the world should be ruled according to these principles)
they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (They did not mind persecution.)
(12) Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who live there! (intellectuals and spiritually orientated people)
But woe to the earth (people who mainly live for the sake of material gain)
and the sea, (people who are under the control of troublesome and threatening
emotions)
because the devil (the force of destruction)
has gone down to you! (affecting the way people make their living, their emotions and the consequences of their actions)
He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." (The New World and the New Age will be preceded by a period of severe political, environmental, natural and individual disasters even worse than the ones you can see in the news every day, see
15:8,
20:2.)
(13) When the Dragon realized that he had been thrown to the earth, (The Dragon had been weakened and a new way of thinking began to gain momentum.)
he pursued the Woman (Diana was the most pursued woman of all times.)
who had given birth to the male child. (14) The Woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, (symbol of the divine power of "Jupiter", one of the Spirits of God, which is relevant for politics. The eagle is also the sign of countries like USA, Germany, etc., see
8:13, Isaiah
46:11.)
so that she might (she could have but she didn't)
fly to the place prepared for her in the desert (go abroad)
where she would be taken care of for three and a half years out of the Dragon's reach. (15) Then from his mouth (The mouth symbolizes the spoken and written word.)
the Dragon spewed water like a river, (The element of "
water" symbolizes emotions, especially love.)
to overtake the Woman and sweep her away with the torrent. (Here it is worth remembering that the
dragon is the sign of "The City of London" symbolizing all the businesses including the Press. There is also a statue of the Dragon in Fleet Street, the traditional centre of the British Press, which is situated at the previous site of a river. The attack with "water" against the Woman could therefore reflect attacks in the Press with more or less fabricated love affairs leading to the excessive media attention to her love life which killed her. For example: Richard Littlejohn wrote in the Daily Mail on 12/1/1996 about the attitude of the Press towards Diana:
| "I've always considered Princess Di fair game. If you live by the lens, you die by the lens." |
On 18/8/95
he wrote about Diana's alleged love affair with the English Rugby captain W. Carling under the headline: "THIS SILLY WOMAN IS NOTHING BUT TROUBLE"; on 23/12/1995 the Daily Mirror called Diana on page 9 "Queen of Tarts"; on 2/5/96 The Sun came up with the amazing headline: "Bulimic Di devours men like food, then she spits them out", see
2:9,
16:13.)
(16) But the earth helped the Woman (The element of
earth does not only mean money, but everything from this world including the human body. Diana was very "earth" orientated, dedicated to a life of luxury deliberately gaining her importance mainly from her looks and the money she could raise for charities. This situation caused her much aggravation, because she was libelled and exploited for commercial purposes in a ruthless way by the press with photographers stalking her 24 hours a day. Various nervous breakdowns in public did not make them come to their senses and they continued until she was dead. Nevertheless she completely ignored my written
suggestions to improve the situation. Had she done otherwise, the Book of Revelation would have been wrong about her. It would then have been the air that helped the Woman.)
by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the Dragon had spewed out of his mouth. (17) Then the Dragon was furious with the Woman and went off to make war against the rest of her descendants - (People who still support and uphold the ideas and attitudes Diana stood for.)
- all those who obey God's commandments and believe in the truth made known by Jesus.
