I've got one brother, Micky, and one sister, Francine. Micky now lives
in Kona, Hawaii with his wife, Erin, and the youngest of his four children, Amy.
The oldest two, Julie and Michael, also live in Hawaii. Justin is currently in
the US Air Force. Julie is now married and she and her husband, Lee, work for a
tile company in Kona and have one child. Justin is also now married and he and
his wife, Shamora, will soon be living in Hawaii with their two sons. Mike is a
carpenter and often works with Micky's construction company. Mike and his
partner, Mapu, have 3 children together. My sister lives in Jackson Township,
New Jersey with her husband, Mark Omark, their two sons, Mark, and Stephen, and
daughter, Emily. My parents live once again in Long Branch, N.J., where we grew
up. I have some other family photos you could see if
you'd like.
Micky was born August 6th, 1955, a Leo, and is an avid surfer. That's
why he moved to the big island of Hawaii - to be near good surfing at all
times. He's been a general contractor and has had his own business for years
building custom homes. His wife, Erin, worked as a legal secretary for years
and then was leading dive tours for private dive charters in some of the most
beautiful reefs in the world - on the west coast of Puerto Rico, in Rincon,
where they lived for 6 years. Puerto Rico is a beautiful tropical island and I
vacationed there four winters in a row.
I met some wonderful people there, including an Englishman who runs a bed and
breakfast in the mountains next to a forest reserve and some artists living in
the heart of Old San Juan. Micky and Erin now both work for Metcalf, one of the
largest construction companies in the state of Hawaii and own a nice home in
Kona.
Fran, born January 2nd, 1961, a Capricorn, works as an executive secretary.
She's online so we email back and forth and keep in touch about family
matters. Her husband, Mark, learned the tile setting trade from my father,
has his own business and keeps quite busy most of the time. They have a nice home
and often host holiday dinners for our family. Her son, Mark, wants to go into the
US Air Force to become a pilot. Her other son, Steven, is a musician and plays in
a band.
My dad, John, has been in the tile business since the mid-'50's and is
still at it although he's fast approaching retirement age. Before that, he
used to own a gas station and before that he worked on helicopters in the US
Air Force. He and Mom bought a condo in Florida a few years back and go on
frequent vacations at various times of the year. He's a Virgo, born on
September 5th, 1932, and is a really good storyteller. He's originally from
Perth Amboy, NJ and met my mom sometime in his high school years through some
mutual friends that have remained their close friends until this day.
My mom, Carol, likes to collect antiques, play on the computer at home and
slot machines in Atlantic
City. She and I went to the same high school and actually had the same chemistry
teacher (who Mom tells me was quite old even when my she was in school). She's an
avid reader and a big sports fan. She's got 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren
and often helps my sister out with childcare during workdays. Her birthday is
February 19th, 1934, on the cusp of Aquarius and Pisces. She always finds me the
most thoughtful and loving birthday cards of anyone I have ever known.
I have some
friends in Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii who have a website with loads of info on
many subjects, especially having to do with our cetacean friends, the whales and the
dolphins. Visit Star and Michael at PLANET PUNA
and see what's happening locally here in Puna.
On Friday nights
in Hilo, you might find me playing jazz at LOLA'S
CAFE. Lola is a wonderful host, has a cafe with delicious dinners, hosts an open
mike night on saturdays, and sings jazz standards with us on Fridays. Come on down when
you get to the Big Island and visit Lola and friends on the weekends. You're sure to have
a fun time and get to hear some really fine local musicians. Lola's also broadcasts the
shows live on the Internet from the website.

of the political/military/business coalition that now dominates the world. Len and I
are part of a group cocreating a free university on the big island of Hawaii.
DAVID PEEL
also has an extensive homepage with quite a list of music-related products
he sells. I've helped David in the recent past with an ongoing music project.
He came down to visit from NYC a while ago and performed at the Pine Tavern
in Floyd. David hung out with John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and others and is what
I call the quintessential street musician. He is often on the Howard Stern
radio show and he has appeared in both of Howard's movies.
DAVE BINNEY
and I played music up in NYC for a while with Amy Coleman's band. A very fine musician
and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to perform music with him. He's an incredible

but they're rainbow gypsies at heart. They don't fool me. Dorian has some wonderful pictures
from a lot of the previous gatherings you might want to check out.
A Rainbow brother friend of mine has his webpage dedicated to his poetry. There's
also a lot more including alternative technology and spirituality. Don't miss his
description of the temple he wants to build using electrical current run through
sea water to attract limestone onto a gold filament. Go visit
THE BARD and get a
taste of his unique vision.
ALOMA CAMPANA is a friend of mine on
the big island of Hawaii who does performance art, music, and is an avid
fruitarian. I recently helped her get her presence on the web and designed her
new webpage. She has a wonderful essay she calls the rad raw rant. Thoughts on
fruitarianism - breath, mantra and magik, survival and surrender, spiritual fun,
sacred sensuality, rainbowlution, ritual, and taohumorosofy...Alomisticomical
concerns!

sold them to a number of well-known drummers including both Micky Hart and
Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead, and Pat Mastellotto of King Crimson. He
and I have worked on a few band projects on and off in past years.

his music is jazz and latin influenced. On his solo album, "NY International", you'll
hear Randy Brecker, Michael Urbaniak, James Beard, Olatunji and other well known jazz
musicians accompany Tony on his superb compositions. A gem of a CD, I play it often.
One of my original connections to the Floyd County area of Virginia is a talented
potter and sculpture artist named

some of which I helped produce in my studio and some of which I played on.
Starroot is a "Mayan daykeeper", and has an extensive knowledge of the
"Dreamspell" calendrics. She has given workshops on this and also does Mayan

consulting for computerese and also has a design company specializing in computer
graphics applications. Alex got my page linked to the
ARTISANS OF FLOYD COUNTY homepage

displayed.
GESUNDHEIT INSTITUTE in West
Virginia is a place dedicated to giving free medical care to those who
can't afford it. It's a very wonderful place and the staff there is totally
voluntary. Patch Adams started the place and he travels the world healing
people through humor. A really cool place to visit. I played music at a
benefit the last time I was at Gesundheit and Patch was a very engaging host.
To now have Robin Williams portraying him in a movie about his life is a
wonderful tribute to the work of Patch Adams in the field of healing.
