Hey...my co-worker commented on my creme-colored long-sleeve shirt that sort of looks like a sweater. My mom got it for me for my birthday. It's all from a brand called "R&R Casuals". Actually a lot of favorite clothes are from that brand. My mom gets them from the AAFES at the air force base. It looks like that is really the only place to get this brand.

Dinner is going to be at P.F. Chang's.

Today I turn 28 years old. I miss the days when I used to get all excited about my birthday, and receive gifts of bubble gum, or toys. And equally bewildering was why my parents seemed to care less about their own birthdays. Now I think I've finally taken one step closer to truly understanding how they feel.

Since my thoughts are deeply shrouded in nostalgia, I remember thinking a few years back, that if I turned 30 years old and I were still single, I would see that as an accomplishment. I have a friend that I really looked up to who was single and in his 30's before finally getting married. Now that I think of it, I shouldn't have any trouble achieving that goal.

Thanksgiving sucked. I won't go into details, but it's basically because of my father, and I think because of my brother too. I've decided I'm better off celebrating Christmas by myself rather than with a quarrelsome family.

My birthday is tomorrow and I know what I'm wishing for. Looks like I won't be going to see the Conan O'Brien show either. The letter for the tickets never came in the mail.

This morning I woke up incredibly late. I was supposed to be at work at 9am. I didn't wake up until noon time. Then while I'm checking email, I find out that a meeting that I had at 2:30 was rescheduled for 11am instead. So now I'm struggling over what I should do. Do I put in an 8 hour day and get out at 8pm, or do I take a half day and eat up some of my floating holiday time? I think I know the answer. I don't want to be here at work right now.

So today I find out that one of my friends has blocked me from posting comments on her Xanga page. I'm a bit miffed, or rather a little perplexed as to why she would block me. How are you supposed to react to something like that? ha ha ha. Oh well.

I'm getting my oil changed and my car checked out right now. At Burns Honda, they have two computers hooked up to the internet, a waiting area with TV, a quiet reading area, a bunch of tables to enjoy some coffee and donuts, while you wait for your car. And I don't mean like cheap coffee and donuts. The muffins are ENORMOUS!!! I wished they cut them in half. I just happened to pick a bad muffin and I would feel bad to just throw it away, so I must force myself to finish it.

Happy Birthday shoutout to my roommate Yujin. Today he turns 28! Which reminds me...it's only one more week until my birthday.

This is also why other countries hate us. Because Americans do stupid stuff like spend $28,000 on a sandwich that looks like it's got a face on it, and what in particular makes it look like Virgin Mary who no one on this earth has any idea what she actually "looks like. The very fact that someone would profit on people's emotions like that, makes me sick to my stomach. I wonder what the Virgin Mary is thinking right now. Would she be honored or horrored by this event? The first thing that pops into my head is not the Virgin Mary, but a pilgrim like Abigail Williams or Elizabeth Parris, the girls who started the Salem Witch Hunt.

Today at work, I was supposed to kill an application running on this one server for some failover testing. Then I was asked to bring it up. Long story short, I brought it up the lazy and somewhat incorrect way which caused this one computer to buzz loudly. Chrissy, a person in training was sitting in front of that computer and could not turn off the buzzer. As she sat there trying to shut the buzzer off, she said nervously, "Ha ha! Good One! You got me" as if I were playing a prank on her or purposely tried to test her. Her response was so funny that it made everyone around her laugh. I was actually told by a programmer that my way was sufficient but apparently not though.

I think Trump should allow the winner of this season's The Apprentice, to manage over his casinos. He obviously isn't doing a hot job, as his casinos has had to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

About last week's NBA Pistons-Pacers brawl. I think the fans are to blame. I think if the fans just shut up and watch the game like they are supposed to, then the players would behave like they are supposed to, instead of flinging chairs and punches in the air. People are arguing that the players are being paid millions of dollars, so they should just suck it up, but that logic makes no sense. They are paid to play the game, not being assulted by the crowd. That's like prodding an attack dog with a stick, then yelling at the dog if it bites the person jabbing at it. Doesn't it make more sense to yell at the person instigating the thing to begin with? Then again we live in a messed up country, where burglars can break in somewhere and sue the owner if he get's injured breaking in!!! The stupidity of Americans continues to bewilder me. I hate this messed up country. If I die and go to hell, I think it will be similar to living in the US. Ha ha ha ha. J/K. I hope I go to Heaven.

Saturday I woke up and drove up to New Brunswick, NJ. The women of Emmanuel competed in the annual Women's Flag Football tournament. I thought it would be kind of boring and lame, but it was actually very fun and exciting. Emmanuel won. Check out the pictures at the church website. After the tournament, I drove up to NYC and met up with Sujin and Heejin. We ate all you can eat sushi at a small restaurant called Yuka. It was only $18/person which was a great deal for what we got. Then we walked through Time Square and stopped by Toys R Us. Unfortunately all the pictures that was taken of me didn't come out well. Then after that went to 3rd floor Cafe and had a few drinks.

Sunday after 1st service, Sujin, Heejin, Gina, and myself went out to have lunch at Morning Glory Diner. For such an ordinary looking diner, it was pretty popular. Lunch was a 45 minute wait, so we decided to go to another place. We stopped by Ted Kim's store Quakerhead Collectibles. We convinced Ji-Young to come have lunch with us. So we went to Johnny Rockets. The burgers there were very DELICIOUS!!!

After lunch, we had a multimedia team meeting at church and after that we went to watch Pixar's "The Incredibles". GREAT MOVIE!!! It's a must-see movie, and a great movie to add to your DVD collection. Then after that we had dinner at Lolita, which is a trendy Mexican restaurant. The food there was pretty good, but just a tad pricy. This place only accepts cash, and is BYOT (Bring Your Own Tequila). Then after dinner, we decided to get some coffee at Cosi. All in all a pretty busy day.

STEELERS barely won over the Bengals. But they did win.

Happy Birthday MOM. I love you.

So I really didn't do any work on Friday. It was just too hard to focus on doing work. Around 6:00pm I went outside for some fresh air, and to kill some time and as I was headed back in I heard a lot of sirens wailing, and I thought to myself, somewhere out there, someone is in peril, quite possibly injured or even dead. Ever since my near death experience, the sounds of sirens freeze me in my track, and I offer up a small prayer for whoever might be out in unfortunate circumstances. I sit down and fool around a little more before one of the security guards comes by and tells everyone to evacuate the building. The fire department was here!!! It was a bit odd since the fire alarm never rang. So I decided to leave for small group at Jamie's place.

Got to get up early in the morning for women's flag football. I want to video tape the event...and afterward maybe go up to NYC.

Today I went came into work at 10:30. I even tried to dress up a little bit because my colleague wanted me to meet this Korean pharmacist at the supermarket. He was trying to play matchmaker. So we get there, and I see this girl Sunmi Park. We didn't have an opportunity to really say anything to each other. My colleauge is also unaware that meeting people with the same last names with the intentions of dating is also more of a stigma for Koreans than is is with Americans. So anyway, she wasn't ugly, but after I left, I felt like such a schmoe for even agreeing to go in the first place. I mean really I felt like the little bit of dignity or self-respect I had totally went down the drain. I mean, do I, Donald Park, really need help finding a woman? I mean come on, I don't need help. I just need more time.

So anyway after that we went to have lunch at a place called Ott's. It's a popular hang out for people at my company, because while we were there, I saw so many co-workers. I had a beer with my burger, and man did that kill me. I don't feel like working now, and it's such a beautiful day outside.

After lunch I went home to receive a UPS package. I finally got my side marker and front bumper lights and installed them on my car.

Wow...what a surprising episode of the Apprentice. I can't believe Ivana is doing so well too. Even though she has the face that only a mother could love, I bet there are so many guys drooling over her sucess. Even I think she looks much cuter, but WOAH...easy on the make up sister.

I feel so bad for Ivana though because she's constantly being overlooked, and misses out on all the great rewards. Last week, Mosaic won $50,000 worth of jewelry, and this week APEX gets to listen to an old man sing? COME ONE DONALD TRUMP!!! THAT'S NOT A REWARD...THAT'S PUNISHMENT!!!

Wow...cha cha cha!!!

Just watched The Polar Express. As my friend Pastor Dwight said, "The Polar Express was visually stunning". I think what he he meant to say but was too polite to say was that it was...well...

RETARDED!!!!

Don't waste your money and don't waste your time either. It was so stupid I actually fell asleep during the middle of it. This movie isn't even worth a rental. It's more like a let's wait 10 years before it's released on TV.

But for the more objective review. If you are going to cast kids, THEN USE KIDS. There's something about using adult voices for kids that just doesn't work. I think the computer animation was too ambitious as well. I think so much emphasis was placed on details, that they totally over looked realism. Sure the face looks like you could almost touch it, but when they talk, it looks like cabbage patch kids talking. And we've all seen actors over act right...but can animated cartoons over act? Not really, but in this movie they do. Originally I thought this would be a good movie for the kids, because the spirit of the movie was something they could relate to, but then Soojung said kids won't have the patients to sit through the movie.

Putin says Russia developing new nuclear missile systems.
This scares me. Why is Russia trying to proliferate nuclear weapons, and why is the US silent on the issue, when we've made so much commotion about N. Korea or Iran having nuclear capability? If anything we should ALL be against Russia, especially since they have so much damn nuclear material that's unaccounted for. I'm more scared of Russia building HUNDREDS MORE nuclear weapons than I am of Iran or N. Korea obtaining ONE.

I thought missile delivery systems fell under the non-proliferation treaty? Isn't Russia a part of that? Anyway this is something to keep you eyes and ears on.

I'm really encouraged. Tonight (or last night I should say) we had our monthly CT meeting at church. We talked about a few things, but the last topic was about our prayer meetings. I've wanted to tell P. Paul that I think the weekly prayer meetings at church need transformation, and instead of getting all discouraged, because no one is attending the prayer meeting at church, maybe another way we could do it, is to have HOME prayer meetings, or regional meetings. Currently I try and organize a prayer meeting for New Jersey folks every other week. The response has been good, but I've been feeling lately that I seriously lack the ability to lead them myself. Today, P. Paul, gave me the green light and even commended my efforts, telling everyone that "...we need more Don's". I was so encouraged, and moreover is that I GET PASTOR DWIGHT!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOO. He said he'd much rather meet at my place which is literally down the street from his place, than to meet at church. I can't wait. I know I shouldn't praise this guy so much, but man when this guy talks, I feel insired!!! I wish God would use me like he uses him, but alas, God has called me to do other things, like sweep the floors and empty out the garbage. Ha ha ha...just kidding. ;) Anyway, I was ready to throw the towel in and quit the home prayer meetings, because I was so ill-equipped to lead prayer meetings, but it's pretty amazing how God saw me struggling, and has provided a solution to my problem. God is good.

Somehow I don't really feel like writing anything on my blog, although I'm sure some of you are dying to know how my trip to Cancun was. Here is a funny story, but you have to use your imagination a little. All of us were at a resort waiting for the bus to come pick us up. Our destination was Tulum which was like an hour away. There's like 50 some people waiting down in the lobby of the resort, just waiting for the bus. Then Debby hears from someone else that the bus is here...so natually she shouts out to Brian, on the other side of the lobby that the bus is here. Then all at once, everyone heads for the door. It wasn't until we get to the bus that we made that observation and had a good laugh about it. It was a classic example of herd mentality.

Another funny thing is when my mom was in the next room over, I cleared my throat, and my mom came running out of the room looking for my dad. But my dad was walking about the resort somewhere with baby Soomin. At first she was confused, and then responds, you sound just like dad when you clear your throat. I thought it was so funny because my dad has a VERY distinct sound when he clears his throat. In fact, in a crowded mall, my dad can easily locate my mom by clearing his throat...because as soon as she hears that sound, her head pops up and looks around for my dad. I saw it with my own eyes once and I laughed inside because it looked so cute.

Cancun was awesome. Weather was beautiful. Also while we were there we went to Tulum, Cozumel and topped it off with a night at Coco Bongo. This place is quite simply...off the hook. Check it out. The only thing I didn't like was their little skit about The Passion of the Christ. It just seemed sacriligious to try and introduce any kind of religious theme in an establishment where people drink and smoke and dance in scantily clad outfits. But aside from that. Coco Bongo is the place to go.

I finally cut my hair. It feels so good to have short hair, and it's even better that I only need like a few drops of shampoo to wash my hair clean. Women watch out, because I'm looking sooooo muh-shi-suh. @:P

I'm in Cancun!!!

This is the hotel we are going to stay at.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Sometimes working at this company just really just irks me. Someone asked me to do something but never fully explaning to me how to do it, so instead I spent the last month or so fumbling around with it trying to figure it out on my own. Keep in mind I've never really seen this part of the document I have to work on. So yesterday I finished what I think needed to be done and sat down with the person that assigned it to me. It was only then that she quite clearly and simply told me all I REALLY needed to do in the first place. WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE TOLD ME THAT TO BEGIN WITH instead of being so vague!!! Anyway this thing I've been working on is WAY overdue and stressed the CRAP OUT OF ME, when it was such a simple task that I could easily have done, if it was explained to me correctly.

Bush and his cronies are lying through their teeth again. Last week the White House was saying the weapons at Al-Qaqaa were removed before the war, thus absolving them of any responsibility that the US had over the weapons. They even publicized satellite photos of the site with a truck pulled up beside the building to suggest the weapons were being moved.

But they knew all along they were lying through their teeth, because just today, the troops guarding the post said they were overwhelmed with looters. Come on Bush, you knew that all along, and if you didn't, do you really deserve to be Commander and Chief? Stop lying to the American people. You have fooled us simple minded Americans again.

Question: What's the price of electing George W. Bush as president?

Answer:

1,000 American lives

If that scares you just wait because we have 4 more years of it.

Currently listening to the original sound track (OST) to Beautiful Days, which was a very popular SBS drama miniseries a few years back. The music seems to fit the mood perfectly.

Somber Days of Fall
At the start of day, my heart would pay,
for on my way to work, did sadness lurk.
Unable to enjoy the ride, as though someone has died.
All around, were the trees of fall,
From the ground, they stood tall.
The beauty that I once could see, would no longer be.
These were the most somber days of all.

Just to respond to someone's comment. "whoa don. a little bitter this morning?!". I'm not just a little bitter. I'm VERY put off. I cannot believe the stupid american people could be so disgruntled about our president, and talk so much smack about how stupid and incompetent he is, yet re-elect the same bumbling fool back to office. It makes absolutely no sense. This is really the frosting on the cake. I honestly believe that everyone who voted for Bush this time around has done America a disservice in addition to making this WORLD a whole heck of a lot dangerous to live in. Millions more will die because the American people have decided to ignore the pressing issues at hand and decided to elect the "better looking" president. THIS IS AMERICA PEOPLE, NOT HIGH SCHOOL. I have lost all confidence in the American people. I doubt there is anything that President Bush can do to restore my confidence in him, short of resigning.

Looks like Bush is going to win. This is a sad, sad day indeed. I am embarrassed to be an American now because I just can't believe how STUPID AMERICANS are.

Link of the Month
Someone sent me this pretty funny link. It's a spoof off of Toy Story about the election called Ploy Story. Check it out. It's amazing how well coordinated it was put together.

Election Day
If Bush wins again, I'm not going to come back to the US, once I leave for Korea, that's how much I despise Bush...and unfortunately it seems all my close friends and family are Bush supporters.

Today I went and voted obviously for Kerry. Although I may question his morals, I don't question his ability to lead. I think he is a natural born leader especially after researching the whole Swift Boat Veterans issue. He opposed the war in Vietnam, and any historian will tell you Vietnam was a mistake. He opposes the war in Iraq not in principle, but in our execution. Bottomline is that he's not hell bent on war like Bush is, and I think that's good, because otherwise you get a president drowning in a sea of foreign issues, that he has no time or energy to focus on domestic issues. I want a president that can BE president of the US, and not play international cop.

Proverbs 26:17 - "Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own."
I think there is a lesson here that the US can learn.

Also people say they are also voting for Bush since he's a Christian. My response to them is, NOT everyone that goes to church is a Christian. I really wonder if Bush is a "true" Christian or only by name since it benefits him.

Our Simply Stupid President <--click to see the video

Just in case you guys missed my first post about whether John Kerry could look like a president, then please note Andrew Jackson on the $20 Bill. In another 100 years Kerry's face is going to replace Jackson, since he'll rebuild the USA back to it's former glory that Bush has so mindlessly DESTROYED.

VOTE FOR KERRY!!!

So on Saturday I helped Ted move out of his apartment into a tinier apartment. They had SOOOOOO MUCH STUFF. I'm warning you now, if you know Ted Kim then break all ties with him now otherwise he's going to ask you to help him move next year!!! I got to his place around 11:30am and didn't finish until 7pm. I was soooo dog tired. I went to church to make sure this DVD worked. The DVD wasn't that great, but I got it to work. I then tried breaking into the 3rd floor chapel to test it out up there, but couldn't get the door open, although I've seen Yujin jimmy the lock before. So went home and stopped by KFC to try their new chicken sandwiches (Tender Roast and Triple Crunch) with a buy one get one free coupon. VERDICT: THEY SUCK. STICK TO FRIED CHICKEN. I like Chick-fil-A sandwiches much better. I only had those two sandwiches and half a Burger King Angus Steak Burger that day. The BK Angus Burger was too bad...but it's signature steak sauce was too overpowering I thought...but over all not bad.

Saturday night, Sujin, Heejin, and myself went to go to a Halloween Party at the FIREHOUSE. It was supposed to be at 752 South 16TH Street, but I misread the diretions and left out the 16th-part of the address. A difference of about 10 blocks. So I'm on 6th and South and I see the Philadelphia Fire Station. We park, and we walk over there only to see a big black guy in a fire suit sitting on the bench right outside the entrance...no doubt the bouncer. We didn't see no lights or hear any music so I ask the guy if the party is inside and with a puzzled reply, he asks, "What party?" I asked him if this is the FIREHOUSE, and he says, "I don't know what you are talking about, but this here son, is the FIRESTATION". I felt like such an idiot, so we apologize and ask him if he knows where the FIREHOUSE is and directs us down the street, but we didn't find it, so we went to Club Egypt instead. The place was packed and I guess the A/C broke or something because it was a steam room in there. They had a costume contest, and can you belive one guy had the guts to dress as OSAMA BIN LADEN? Anyway I was a lot of fun but I was pretty pooped from helping Ted move.

Then on Sunday I had to help Ted move MORE STUFF. That boy has WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. Watched the Eagles vs. Ravens and Steelers vs. the Pats games on HI-DEF TV and boy was his HD large-screen TV crystal clear. Eagles won, but the Steelers CRUSHED the Pats yesterday. Next week's game will be very interesting, but I don't know if I'll be able to watch it since I'll be in CANCUN.
