So I'm going to be up all night packing and cleaning out my place. I was going through some old diskettes to see what was on them and I found this one wav file. Caught.wav. Pretty sad what happened to the girl. I feel for her.

I'm so screwed. I'm not even like 1% ready and I got until tomorrow to pack everything. I'm just going to throw out any and everything I can. I got to work kind of late today and yesterday. And last night I went to a friends place to have dinner and to talk stuff over about the website and the retreat we just had...so I got very little done in terms of packing and cleaning. And then I had to watch TV until I fell asleep. I seriously need someone in my life to keep me inline...you know...to keep the deal real.

Monday, January 27, 2003

What a hectic weekend. Friday was the start of the retreat. I went home after work and quickly packed some things. I forgot to bring a computer monitor, which I promised, since my friend was going to bring a computer and printer. Luckily my friend was able to get one for me on his way to the retreat.

During the retreat I operated the LCD projector to display the praise songs...but the laptop I was using for the job was a Mac. People say Macs are easy to use? PUH HA HA HA...WHATEVER!!! Since Mac is like the defacto bastard child of modern day computing, it doesn't have like half the features you'd find on a regular PC version. Never again will I want to use a Mac. I just think how stupid those people in the Mac commercials about switching over from a PC to a Mac. Anyway certain limitations made it difficult to display the slides which made me sweat bullets during the praise. I also messed up a ton of times, but surprisingly everyone thought I was doing a good job.

Friday night I went back home and burned some CDs. I didn't go to bed until like 4am because I wasn't sleepy. I got less than 4 hours of sleep before waking up again and heading over to the retreat center. Surprisingly I wasn't tired for most of the day, until night time which I had to take a little nap during the sermon. Again I went home and was able to get like 7 hours of sleep.

Sunday after the retreat, I went to a friends place to watch the Super Bowl game. The game sucked and so I ended up not watching most of the game. Tampa Bay blew the Raiders out of the water.

I tried to go to bed early last night but couldn't. I woke up around 10am...but boy did I get a good nights rest. Had a dream about my ex-g.f. I won't get home until at least 7pm and then I'll have to start cleaning my apartment, throwing out any and everything I can to prepare for the move...which is this Thurs. and Fri. I wish I hadn't decided to move out...but I think it'll ultimately be good for me.

Thursday, January 23, 2003

The day of the move is looming closer and closer, and I haven't even begun to pack or clean up. I think I'm doomed because my apartment is soooooooo incredibly messy. I'm tempted not to eat anymore because I don't have any clean utensils anymore. I've nearly exhausted my supply of plastic forks, and paper cups...and I have long since ran out of paper plates. I need to force myself to do the dishes tonight otherwise they'll stay piled there for another weekend.

I have too much to do and think about. The task of moving just seems daunting. I pray that the move will be stress-free, and more importantly, living with the other guys will be stress-free as well.

My friend Sam from Korea called me again this morning like around 7:30am. He called yesterday morning as well...which is why I've been able to get to work at a somewhat decent hour lately. Tomorrow is the beginning of the retreat.

Wednesday, January 22, 2003

Today there is nothing really exciting to say other than Tampa Bay is on their way to Super Bowl Sunday. Some people think they are okay...I just think they are gay. I don't understand why anyone would pay to watch them play? Despite the delay, Steelers will have their day. I pray for that day which I'll shout "Hurray hurray!!" and sway with the crowd those yellow "terrible towels". If only that stupid official could see the replay as the kicker lay on the ground putting up one big fake display.

Tuesday, January 21, 2003

Hmmm...not sure I have anything interesting to say today. Had a morning meeting which means I was able to leave work relatively early.

Alison got the boot on joe Millionaire. Sad to see her go. She seemed like a great person.

Wow...I forgot to post on Friday. Well lately I've been trying to work harder at work. I guess one way I can tell it's working is that I'm spending less time on the internet, making posts like these. And when I get home I have no desire to turn on my computer at home...even to check email. I discontinued the $5 wireless web service on my cell phone plan as well since surfing the web on my phone eats up the battery. Also got rid of my $5 protection insurance. I've pretty much concluded that I won't lose my phone. I haven't had very many close calls, because I'm always checking my pockets for my wallet and cell phone so I'm not worried I'll lose it anytime. I was thinking of switching my phone plan to 300 anytime minutes and free nights and weekends, but if I do that then I have to lock myself down into another year long contract. I barely use up my 200 anytime and 2800 nights and weekends the way it is.

Weekend Update
Friday - after work I went to church for Phileo night fellowship. Went home and ate a late dinner.
Saturday - planned to clean up my apartment and start the move process. Ended up watching TV all day and taking a nap. Went out to eat dinner with some friends, one of whom (I wonder if I'm using whom correctly) just came back from Korea. After dinner we tried to go see a movie but they were all sold out.
Sunday - I went to church and screwed up on the projection a couple of times. I felt even worse when I found out that I wasn't even ask to help out for this weekend's retreat. Maybe that's a good thing though. After having lunch at church, me and Ted try to go to PC bang but the ones we knew were closed...so we ended up going to a different one. After a couple hours of playing we went to Tae's to watch the football game. Eagles got blown away by the Bucs and the Titans were left in the dust of the Raiders as well. Pretty sad playoff games.

Holy Cow...I'm so tired. I woke up at 8am to make it to an 8:30am video teleconference. It was my first one, and it's kind of neat. After that I went to the dentist to get two small fillings. I hardly felt anything and I was done in like half an hour. After that I stopped by Burger King for the 99 cent Whoppers. Got one for my co-worker as well. I'd feel silly just ordering a dollar item in the drive-thru. Then I had another meeting. I kept falling asleep in the meetings...partly due to the fact that most of it didn't apply to me...except for a few short minutes.

Wednesday, January 15, 2003

Wow...I forgot to post yesterday! Anyway in the last 3 days I have seen three DVD's that I borrowed from my friend. First I watched "A Beautiful Mind" which kind of left me feeling depressed or something of that nature. Then I watched "A.I." which left me feeling kind of upset that I actually watch the whole movie. I think that's got to be one of the stupidest movies I've seen in a long while. Then I watched "American Pie II". I began to watch the beginning of the movie and realized quickly that I had already seen the movie. I can't believe I forgot that I had seen the movie. I guess the movie failed to leave any impression on me the first time through.

Weekend Update:

Friday - after work I went ice skating at the River Rink. It was fun but not terribly exciting. I think part of the reason is because it was too packed. I didn't fall once but I did run into this one girl. Here are some pictures of the ice skating. After ice skating we went to Han-Chon for some late night eats. I had the usual sol-long-tang.

Saturday - I woke up kind of late, went to work for a couple of hours. After work I stopped by Best Buy to look for something to buy. I had 10% off coupons, but I only got RAM for my computer which I found out was the wrong type anyway. I got to exchange it. After that I went home to watch the Steelers vs. Titans game. They are evenly matched teams and it was predicted that the outcome of the game would be tight. They were correct. The game went into over-time and the winner of the game would be whoever scored first. Unfortunately Steelers lost the coin toss and Titans took possession of the ball first. All they had to do is get into field goal range and kick the ball, and that's exactly what they did. I think sudden death matches are stupid and amount to luck. Well it sucks that Steelers got shut out of the super bowl again, but maybe next year. After the Steelers game I drove down to Delaware Dave's house. He invited a bunch of people to watch the Eagles vs. Falcons game at his place. The game sucked compared to the Steelers game. There just wasn't any action. Every minute of the Steelers game had you on the edge of your seat, and players getting injured left and right. The Eagles game was a snoozer. After the game ended a few of us hung around a little longer singing some karaoke, playing PUMP on a computer downstairs, etc.

Sunday - in the morning I got a call from SR. He was upset because the night before (while I was at Delaware Dave's place) I played around with his background picture of his computer. It was a picture of him and this girl. I thought it was just a picture of him and some random girl he wanted to "display". And so I copied the picture and played around with it in Paint, drawing him and the girl a beard. Turns out the girl was his girlfriend. He gave me an earful. I thought it was funny and everyone else thought it was funny too. Anyway I went to church where I met Helen. She was back in the area, getting ready to graduate from med. school. She's looking for internships in the area. It seems like whenever she talks to someone it ends up being some kind of debate. After that I went to PC bang with Ted. We were there for a few hours. After that I went home and watched "A Beautiful Mind". I didn't realize how sad of a movie it was. The really smart ones are always crazy...or at the very least...not normal. I wonder why that is.

Yesterday night I was about to go to bed, but as I was flipping through the channels I landed on one playing Contemporary Christian Music. It was a song that I was very familiar with and I think at one point I knew how to play on the guitar. It's been ages since I played the guitar, and so I decided to play a little bit at like 2 in the morning. The strings hurt the tips of my fingers since I haven't played in such a long time. This morning I decided to play a little as well. Now my finger tips really hurt. It'll be a couple of weeks of constant playing before I get those calluses at the tips of my fingers. And then I can feel like a guitar player again :)

Tonight instead of having large group fellowship at church we are going to go ice skating instead. It'll be fun I think. I can't wait. This is where we'll be skating. River Rink. Now if only I had a date.

Thursday, January 9, 2003

Yesterday I got off work a little early to drive my friend to the car dealership. I told my friend to shop for a while, but I think it was more of an impulse buy. He ended up getting the new model Accord. He thinks it's gorgeous, but interestingly most people I've polled don't seem to think it's looks good. I think I'd have to agree. Honda should have just left the Accord alone for at least a couple more years. I'd be really shocked if I saw people buying up this car like there was no tomorrow. I just can't see it happening.

Instead of going back to work like I had planned I decided it was too late (already 8pm) and went to Burger King to pick up two 99-cent whoppers. I forgot how BIG whoppers were, and I was only able to eat one. To make it healthier I ate it with a spring mix salad. I'll have the other one for dinner tonight along with more salad.

Wednesday, January 8, 2003

Yesterday was an interesting night. After getting off work around 8pm, I drove up to a friends place in PA to help her fix her computer. When I got there she had prepared me dinner...but since she had already eaten dinner, she decided to serenade me with music. In her apartment she had a black piano. It's impressive she was even able to fit a piano in her apartment. She played all these classical pieces while I'm eating dinner and watching the nature channel. It felt kind of weird, because that's stuff you'd expect on a date.

Anyway I finish dinner and went to fix her computer. It wasn't too difficult to get the computer to recognize the modem. She basically had the wrong drivers for the modem. But once we got the modem to work, we couldn't connect to her ISP. So we called support and was on the phone for a long time trying to figure out what the problem was. After fixing what seemed to be the problem...it still would not log in. Kept giving us this error message. After exhausting all options, the guy finally said, it's got to be your user account or password. We finally went through letter for letter, and we finally figured out I misinterpreted his C for a T. I've never felt so embarrassed and so sorry because we spent so much time on the phone troubleshooting, and all because of a stupid letter. I think if he were actually in person, he might have punched me in the face or something...but alas he was just finally happy to have found the problem.

Not much has really happened lately...except for that on Sunday morning it was nice and sunny and by the time I got out of church it was snowing. It snowed again on Monday night and I think it might snow again tonight as well. I love all this snow. It really looked like a winter wonderland. Today I stopped by the pet store to pick up a fish to replace the one that died on me. When I got to work my co-worker informed me that his fish had died as well.

Yesterday was the premiere of joe Millionaire on Fox. It's a funny idea for a show and I want some of those women to get kicked out but on the other hand I want to see them win so at the end they look like such gold-digging fools. I saw two asian girls on the show that I wanted to stay on the show, but then again I don't want to see them make it to the end and make asian girls look bad...he he he.

Friday, January 3, 2003

Well yesterday I realized my MIB II DVD was actually just MIB. I don't know why I thought it was the second one but I was kind of disappointed when it wasn't the second one since I haven't seen it yet. Now that I have a DVD player I want to watch more DVD's but I don't want to own many. I think it's nuts to collect movies on DVD at $20 a piece. My friends have shelves and boxes full of DVD's and I think that's such a big waste of money. Partly because I don't really enjoy watching movies over and over, unless it's a really really good movie. I don't mind watching movies again after a long period of time either. The other day I was watching "Coming to American" and "Trading Places". he he he. Those movies are classics.

I'm debating whether to open my "Star Wars : Attack of the Clones" movie. I fear that if I open it, then I'm stuck with it, and then I'll feel obligated to buy the other Star War movies. Although I like Star Wars I'm not really a huge fan.

Oh...almost forgot...I thought the link of the week was pretty funny too. Link of the week.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

My resolution for this weblog is to make it more concise and insightful. I've come to realize I don't like the long rambling posts of the last few months or so.

Yesterday went to Tae's place for the New Year's party. I brought my friend Sam along as well. He was not very impressed with my friends...thought they were too mean since the whole night we were cracking jokes at each other. On the car ride home I realized I have something with Sam that I don't have in most other guys. A spiritual channel of communication with him. I don't feel awkward talking to him at all about God as I do with most other guys.

On the way to work this morning I saw a funeral motorcade. I almost cried thinking of death especially so close to Christmas and the new year. This season should be about celebrating birth and life...not death...further down the road, there was a dead squirrel on the road. Felt bad for that little sucker too. I hope he went to Squirrel Heaven.

Picked up my bo-yak (herbal medicine) from the post office. I gotta drink 2 packages a day of this bitter concoction for the next month.
