So this morning me and my parents left Charlottesville and drove back. It was a pleasant drive. Went directly to church even though we still didn't get a chance to wash up and change clothes. Well God loves us all the same :)

My parents made it a point that we'd go home right after that to get washed up but instead we went out to a Korean restaurant for lunch. Had Sushi Deluxe which was more like Sushi Dis-Sucks. Well it was okay I suppose since it was a little cheaper than usual. Then came home and took a nap. Then went out to Olive Garden to eat dinner.

Joshua is a bit constipated so he was given a suppository. And when he pooped...OMG was it disgusting. Brian learned that he had a video function on his digital camer after I told him, we have Joshua's bowel movement documented as well. Unfortunately Brian's camera doesn't pick up sound and I guess fortunately it doesn't pick up smell either, because it STUNK. The first whiff of it I got, I had to stop breathing and hold my mouth because I thought I was going to have a case of uncontrollable projective vomiting. ha ha ha. At one point Brian suggested we give Joshua the "colon pump" if the suppository didn't work. My suggestion was to hold him by the arms and swing him wildly in a circle...and let centrifugal force do the work.

Brian, my mom, and I also opened up a bottle of wine and celebrated with a glass.

Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday dear Donald.
Happy Birthday to me.

There got that out of the way. Anyway I'm currently at my dad's friend's place in Charlottesville, VA. My dad asked me to drive them there for a quick day trip that turned out to be an over-nighter. I guess we'll be departing in the morning...but I'm not holding my breath. Before you know it, it'll be in the afternoon.

But before I sign off for the night. I have some wonderful news. The game BEJEWELED is more like BEBORING. I'm such a pro at this game, I place several high scores in the past few days, but tonight I posted my highest. High Score of 75200 points. I don't think anyone can touch that score. Write to me if you can.

Wow...breastpumps can be pretty darn expensive. $800 to buy your very own hospital grade pump. At that price it makes more sense to rent it...which is probably what my sister-in-law will do. They are renting one from the hospital for $20 a week. Dang that's expensive. Breast Pumps.

Just found out I'll be driving my parents to Charlottesville, VA so they can visit a friend. There goes my day. I bet this'll be a pretty boring day. Thankfully we are coming back tonight though...unless they change plans while we are there.

One more day til my birthday :)

Yesterday I woke up kind of late, rushed out the door and drove to Baltimore to pick up my parents. Surprisingly I hit a lot of traffic on the way down. My parents arrived at BWI 15 minutes earlier, so they ended up waiting about 45 minutes for me. Finally got to the airport only to find that they have several items with them for the baby. Almost like they choose to forget that I have a very very tiny car with little trunk space. As a result, the rest of our drive down to VA was quite cramped.

My brother and sister-in-law seems too stressed over having a kid and I really feel sorry for them. I wish I knew what to do for them. My father got upset at my brother for not properly greeting them once they arrived which really pissed off my brother because he was too busy trying to stop the baby from crying, which incidentally my brother hates just as much as my dad...cry babies that is. I could see the wave of emotions that was going to bust through at any moment. I really feel sorry for them. That Joshua really does have a loud cry.

Thanksgiving dinner was pretty good. The turkey was purchased at Popeye's the fast-food chicken place. I had no idea they did turkeys. Didn't gorge myself with food. I better watch my figure because I don't want to gain too much "bad" weight.

Black Friday was a lazy start. I woke up, didn't feel like getting up, so slept more, woke up again but still didn't feel like getting up, so slept some more until breakfast was ready. My mom cooked up some killer omelettes for breakfast. After a lazy start, we went to the BX at Andrews Air Force Base. It took 45 minutes just to get there. Shopped around for a little while, but didn't do a whole lot of buying. For a while I was pushing the baby around everywhere (Joshua likes the sensation of movement). At one point me and my mom were talking to a Korean sales woman. She asked in Korean, how old the baby was, and my mom looks at me and answers back in Korean...about 26 YEARS OLD. We all laugh as my mom realizes the lady was talking about Joshua. It's funny how my mom still thinks of me as the baby.

Ate a pizza dinner (because we had coupons) at the BX and came back home. Joshua was pretty quiet the whole day. Didn't cry much at all.

Last night I worked from 8pm to 4am. That was not a fun night. Came home and slept until 1pm. Then went back to work for a few more hours before coming back home to cook dinner for John, Esther, Jeanie, and Jimmy. After dinner we went to Classic Pistol and fired a couple of guns. The glock and .22 revolver pistol. After that stopped by Denny's for some milkshakes. Pretty fun night.

Monday, November 24, 2003

Around 4pm my car was fixed, and I got a shuttle ride back to the dealer. I called my roommate to see if he wanted to go to the driving range and hit a few balls...so we met up there. On our way back Shao mentioned that he'd beat me home in his new yet OLD Nissan Sentra SE-R (basically the same car as his last one, except different color). So at this one EXTREMELY CONGESTED intersection, the both of us take a left at the light before Church Road. The idea is that we'd cut across some local roads to get back onto Church Road. Shao, takes the residental roads, but I decided to take the parking lot because I know I'll be able to get ahead of him when we meet up again. I cut through the parking lot. As I turn out of the parking lot I thought I saw a light bar, but the car behind me was an SUV. As I approach the intersection that Shao is at, I blink my headlights and stick my tongue at him, because I'm now ahead of him. I look into my rearview mirror, and the SUV behind me begins to reveal itself. IT'S A FREAKING COP and he's tailing me. I pull into my apartment development and he flashes on his lights as I turn into the parking lot. Then Shao passes me by a few seconds later! I'm sure he was laughing his pants off by that time. The cop told me what I did was VERY illegal and worth 5 POINTS!!! I was like WHA??? You gotta be kidding me. He comes back and tells me my registration still has my old address...but since I have to renew my registration next month anyway I should just do it then. He tells me not to do it again, and I said "OH NO SIR".

This morning I get up and drop my car off at the dealership. I was supposed to drop it off on Friday, but had to cancel last minute due to work. I called and rearranged another appointment for 11am today. I'm thinking I should call just in case since this Honda dealership doesn't seem to have to shit together. I get there and find out the team that's supposed to work on my car isn't even working today. Annoyed that I'll have to come back for a 3rd time to get this thing fixed, I asked the lady if someone else can have it fixed TODAY. So she squeezes me in. My car is at the shop right now.

On Sunday I slept in and went to second service instead. I've come to realized I don't like it when people do stuff I'm responsible for, because I just can't trust them to do a good job. At church there is this one guy that CONSTANTLY messes things up. It actually kind of pisses me off when he does stuff...because I know he'll mess up. This past Sunday, the 2nd service recording needed to be done (because it was a different sermon than first service) but no one bothered to verify the recording. Turns out the wire wasn't even pulled in correctly!!! I'm not trying to pass blame. Regardless of who's fault it is, these kinds of things just really irk me. I know partly I just need to stop being so demanding or seeking perfection. I'm kind of tired of doing stuff at church, the only thing keeping me going is the fact that someone else will do a worse job than me. Pretty sad reason to stay involved at church huh?

After church Ed and I went to Pho Hau which was pretty good. Then went to Rite-Aid to pick up some candy and Ed's wedding card. Headed over to the wedding. I thought this place was going to be a dump, but the inside was actually pretty decked out. The wedding and reception was held in the same place. It was kind of unusually to be sitting at our dinner tables for the wedding ceremony. It's a good thing a DJ wasn't hired either...because the music from the next ballroom was pumping its way through the thin foldable partitions. There was some kind of party going on next door and despite our repetated pleas for them to turn down the music for just a short while, it only seemed to get louder and they even got pissed off at us because their stupid white asses couldn't understand that a wedding is way the hell more important than some stupid party. I sound racist don't I? Well that's only because I'm sick of the American "ME" attitude. I seriously wanted to curse those stupid red-necks out so bad, but then I remember I'm supposed to be Christian. I think it would have been so funny to push their buttons. "We paid for this damn place, I'm going to play my music as loud as I want or I'm getting a discount". It would have been so funny and too easy to see that lady lose control. But then again I might have ended up that way too.

Countdown: 6 more days until I'm 27.

Sunday, November 23, 2003

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. I went to work for 4 hours...then went home to cook up some dinner. Made some fried rice. Aside from the rice coming out a little mushy, it was pretty good. Then headed off to church for LIFE conference. I didn't really like the speaker all that much...and so I played my favorite palm pilot game BEJEWELED, and placed a new high score. 59460 Points!!! I thank God for allowing me to make such a high score in church. Just kidding. It sounds a bit unreverent but I was paying attention the message...well as best as I would if I weren't playing a game.

Today Ted get's married. Since Billy is taking care of first service today, I'm going to second service and then leaving directly for the wedding afterward.

Friday, November 21, 2003

I had a dream this morning. I woke up and I was in my old room in Plattsburgh, I looked out the window, but of course outside looks different, like an inner city block. I see a group of 6 or so girl playing on the street. They are young, only a few years old. I notice this small girl, maybe 3 or 4 years old bending foward touching her face to the ground. Looked like she picked up an oreo cookie from the ground with just her mouth. Then another little girl threw another one on the ground, at which a bigger girl runs after it and does the same thing. She must have been 7 or 8 years old. She chucks the next oreo cookie into the air pretty far, and again another little girl scurries off to eat it off the ground without using their hands. Strange huh?

The countdown has begun. 9 days til I'm 27.

Thursday, November 20, 2003

So today I was planning on going into Philly and meet up with Mark and Lincoln to discuss this weekends LIFE conference. Kind of a big church event. However earlier in the week I asked a couple of friends if they wanted to come over for dinner. I didn't get any RSVPs and so I decided to do other things. I get a voicemail from Scott two hours before to say that they were on their way over. I call them back to try and tell them I had other plans already, but when I talked to them on the phone they had just gotten into a fender bender, and the perps hit and run. So naturally I didn't have the heart to say NO in their time of misfortune.

I ran out of work to the grocery store to pick up some stuff. Got home and made Teriyaki Salmon fillet, Thai-style shrimp stir-fry. The salmon teriyaki came out very tasty. Shrimp stir-fry came out too watery. That seems to happen to my stir-fry often. Also steamed up some cabbage, and cooked up some meat. Oh, I also had Yujin pick up some sashimi. For dessert we had oven-fresh apple pie cobbler.

Anyway at work I did something that will probably upset one of my friends. I can't say what it is yet, but I think it's kind of funny. He may even be flattered OR NOT!!! *hint hint* Keep posted for updates :)

This post will probably be meaningful to only a handful of my friends, but if you are one of them, please send and email and voice your concern over keeping the EzPass discount. That's so messed up. DRPA tries to lure more customers to this program because it's gonna same them millions of dollars. Then they start charging us monthly fees to use this thing. Sure I can live with the cost of convenience, but now they wanna take away the DISCOUNT as well? WHERE'S THE INCENTIVE TO KEEP THIS THING? We're saving them money already and now they wanna dick us over more? Voice your opinion.
Here's how.

Last night I worked til midnight. Then drove home, only to go back to work 8 hours later. I think it'd be cool if there were cots or some nice comfortable couches at my work place that would save me the drive home. This morning at work the fire alarm went off. It was interesting to see everyone file out and back into the building. There was no fire.

Wednesday, November 19, 2003

Man I just love spotty electric service. Just before coming to work I was at home trying to update my blog, and just as I'm about to finish and hit save (literally) we have a power outage. ARHHH them @$^#$^ at the power company certainly haven't learned squat since August's NorthEast blackout.

I'm at work now and the position in Korea that I inquired about is now filled :( That really blows. I really had my hopes set on that. I think I would have been a great shoe-in. Oh well.

So anyway after getting back from the dealership I sit in front of the computer to do some stuff and fall asleep on my bed. As I'm leaning over my bed, something pushed my head aside. I look around and there's nothing that could have touched my head. Afraid that there might be ghosts around I jump into bed and lay still thinking they'll leave me alone. (keep in mind I was watching GhostBusters the other night). Well I was wrong. The ghosts do something to me and I'm petrified stiff in bed. I try to move, but I can't even lift a finger. Things along the wall start inching their way toward my face and slapping me. This is real freaky supernatural stuff that's going on. I'm kind of scared. As I'm laying in bed I realize I don't have picture frames and stuff on my wall, it was all just a dream. But as I'm waking up I feel really exhausted and still can't move my body very well. I open my eyes and make sure there are no picture frames on the wall and I let out a sigh.

This morning I take my car into the dealer to get my air mixture control fixed. I get there and THEY DON'T HAVE THE FREAKING PART. Sure 2 weeks sounds like a long time to mail a part, and heck, parts might even be on back order, but what gets me is...why didn't they bother to call me to tell me not to waste my time coming in. Looks like they ain't getting that EXCELLENT rating they always guilt you into filling in for their feedback. The excuse I think goes something like this. "Oh, please don't forget to fill EXCELLENT on your questionnaire, otherwise...I might not be able to feed my family."
OH WELL!!! I guess you should have called me so I wouldn't have had to wake my lazy @$$ up in the morning for nothing.

Gotta stop eating asparagus. It makes my urine smell like several week old stale piss. Sorry for being so crude.

For dinner I cooked some 육개장, but it looked and tasted more like 잠퐁. I cooked some shrimp and placed it on top. It looked pretty good but tasted pretty ordinary. Oh well.

Tomorrow (or later on this morning) I got to bring my car into the shop to fix the air mixture control on my cars venting system. It's only been able to blow cold air, which on cold days sucks.

Tuesday, November 18, 2003

OMG, I could not fall asleep last night until 4am. I tried to go to bed at 1am but it was no use so I watch some GhostBusters. That was such a cool movie. I can't wait until someone decides to remake that movie. Well because of my late night, I didn't get up until 11am. I decided to skip my 9:45 doctors appointment since I didn't really see the need to go in. She would just say Hi look at my record and probably let me go. Sleep was more imporant for my health I thought than the stupid doctors appointment, right?

BTW...yesterday for dinner I cook a Salmon fillet w/lemon. It was actually pretty darn good. Since the fillet was so big, I only cooked half of it. I guess the other half we are having tonight, once I figure out how I want to cook it this time. I also boiled up some asparagus. It's only been my second time, but I can definitely smell the difference in my pee after having them.

Monday, November 17, 2003

This past weekend was kind of boring and interesting I suppose. On Friday I went home and had dinner...well not before stopping at Han-ah-reum. So I had salmon sashimi and some left-over spaghetti. The salmon was good :)

After that I went to Phileo. When we broke off into small groups, my group talked about taming the tongue which I really enjoyed. It was kind of funny because one of the issues that came up was sacrasm. Literally if none of us could tell a joke as a form of communication, our small group would be soooooooo rediculously silent. Anyway it helps me THINK back to a sermon I heard a while back (July. 30, 2003). After friday night I went straight home. Didn't really feel like hanging out with anyone that night.

Saturday I basically wasted away. Got up late, lounged around the apartment, and watch a DVD "My wife is a gangster". It's a Korean movie which was actually kind of good. I expected it to be pretty stupid. For dinner Yujin and Lynnette made this kind of out-of-the-box stove-top chicken & stuffing. I put together some bi-bim-bbap. Later that night I went out clubbing with Nancy, Sujin, and David. I met a co-worker there, and a bunch of other random asian people. It was pretty fun. Afterward we went to Philly Diner. I was getting to feel sick but I'm glad I had something to eat. Nancy drove me back to my car. I had forgotten where I had parked. Sitting at a red light, trying to remember where I had parked, she asked "Don, isn't that your car over there?" It was parked just in front of us on the left side of the street. he he he

Sunday I slept in. Oh boy did it feel good to just SLEEP. I woke up and figured I had a few more minutes to sleep. Then I woke up again and realized I was late for the afternoon service. I walked into church just as the sermon started...but had missed all the praise. After church we went to eat at Han-ah-reum on 5th street. I haven't had the sul-lung-tang there in such a long time so it was definitely very welcoming. After that a few folks stopped by our apartment. I watched James Bond - Die Another Day in my room while everyone else played XBox.

Which brings us to this morning. I totally didn't feel like getting out of bed...so I woke up at 10:30am

Friday, November 14, 2003

A few days ago I went to visit one of my co-workers in his cube. His back sits toward the entrance to his cube so it's possible to sneak up to him. I tried to do that once...while he sat there listening to music on his headphones. He has a small mirror on his monitor, and I stood behind him waving my hands all around, trying to see how long it would take him to notice me in his mirror. I stand there waving my arms around for literally half a minute trying to get his attention. I'm thinking this guy is really into his work, or just really aloof. Just as I'm about to stop and walk away, he turns around and starts to chuckle. I ask him what's so funny and he tells me he saw me standing there the whole time...he just wanted to see how long I'd wave my arms around. What a punk.

This morning I had to express mail something to Shao in Boston. I didn't realize USPS can be so fast. If you think about it, $15 to overnight something ain't too bad, considering it's the US Post Office.

My arm is so sore from going to the golfing range 2 nights ago. Every little task like opening the door is uncomfortable to do now.

Get ready to read everyone.

Saturday, I went to a wedding in Northern Virginia. My friend Sam Chon got married to Sora. The wedding was kind of big, and it was at the same church that Sarah Cho got married at. The directions that expedia.com gave me were WAY OFF. I get lost and end up calling the number that was on the invitation minutes before the wedding is supposed to start. I thought maybe it was the church numberbut it turned out to be Soras cell phone. I felt kind of bad. After they got married, we stepped outside just in time to see the lunar eclipse (where the earth blocks the sun light to the moon). Youd expect to see the moon disappear, but apparently theres a lot of ambient light in space and the moon just turns to a pale red color. The skies were crystal clear too. It was such a perfect night to get married. The older Korean guests had their dinner reception at the church, and the younger guests had their reception at this restaurant. The food was good and so was the company. The table my brother and Debby were sitting at filled up, and I didnt want to bother pulling up another chair, so I sat at an adjacent table. Turns out there were lots of purses on the chairs, so I got to sit beside lots of girls. I got to see a lot of CMU folks at the wedding, and also a few folks from Philly area. Brian and Debby went home early and I stayed around a little longer to talk and dance a little. This had to be the first wedding that I didnt stay around until the very end.

Sunday, I went to church with Brian and Debby. After church we ate at a Vietnamese place. Went back to Sterling for a little while, did a little bit of shopping, went to McDonalds for a McFlurry and went back to Lorton (Debbys parents place). For dinner we went to Old Country Buffet. After eating a huge lunch, and having a McFlurry just prior to dinner, I wasnt very hungry, but I still managed to put away two plates of food away. I was disgustingly full.

Monday morning I drove to Wallops Island. Got there around noon. I was expecting to hell there, but everything went very smoothly. I actually had to do very little work. I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Chincoteague (Chinkateeg) Island. The area is basically a huge wild life refuge. Supposedly there are supposed to be lots of wild ponies that run around everywhere. Birds are supposed to be everywhere too. I only saw 2 deer, tons of seagulls and a few herons. Not very exciting at all.

Tuesday, did more of the same stuff as Monday and found out we might actually return home early. We were supposed to stay there for the whole week. Tuesday was also Veterans Day. For lunch we had to go outside the base to get something to eat. We stopped by the Ocean Deli and I picked up a hot dog, a fried chicken thigh, fries and chips. Then for dinner we went out to a restaurant. I was originally going to order just fried oysters and then I saw the seafood platter. It had locally picked Chincoteague oysters, flounder, lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, and crab cake. I thought for sure Id enjoy such a wide variety of food. I cant tell you how delicious I thought this was going to be. I had asked the waitress if this was an entr? for one person (because it sounded kind of big). She assured me its for one. She asked if I wanted the oysters fried, and mentioned that they were a bit bigger. Never did she nor the menu mention that it was battered. When she arrived with our dinners, everyone gasped as they brought out this one guys chicken parmigiano and pasta.

Someone: Wow!!! Thats huge!!!
Someone else: If you think thats big, you should see what Don got!
Everyone: WOAH, OMG *incredible laughter*
-------------------------
Someone: Looks like you got the whole kitchen on your plate.
Someone else: Kitchen!?!? Hes got the whole left side of the ocean on his plate.
Everyone: *more laughter*

Needless to say I had a lot of food on my plate. With the exception of the lobster tail it was ALL BATTERED and DEEP FRIED!!! The menu never said any of it was battered. I was not happy about my dinner, but at least they gave me a lot.

Wednesday, we got to leave Wallops Island early even though we were supposed to be there until Friday. We finished up everything we needed to do. I drove back home. Along the way I got some gas and they also advertised FIREWORKS on sale. So I walked in and bought a brick of fire crackers and another brick of bottle rockets. Got home only to find out the California Bottle Rocket fountains arent bottle rockets at allthey are fucking sparklers!!! If that wasnt bad enough I find out my Fire Crackers Smokes are really fire crackers at all. All they do is smoke. These toy smoke devices?as I found out later by reading the fine print arent even smoke bombsthey are fire cracker looking devices with fusesits the fuses that makes the fucking smoke. OMG I got ripped of SOOOOOOOO INCREDIBLY BAD and Im like not a happy camper. If I lived close by to that store I seriously would have thoughts of burning down that stupid gas station. Thats just wrong!!! I should report them to the BBB. Actually thats not a bad idea. I think Im going to do that. Deep inside Im soooooo incredibly pissed. At least my gay sparklers dont seem so stupid now. Ha ha ha. After I get back Shao and I drive a few balls at the golf range. Last night I had a dream about surviving a nuclear explosion. I didnt look at the explosion fearing Id lose my vision. Then I kept hearing this noise that had preceded the original nuclear blast. So in my dream I kept bracing for another nuclear explosion. No bomb went off, however I kept hearing the same electronic sound. Then I woke up and realized it was Shao snoring again.

Got back from Sam and Sora's wedding in Annandale. Met a lot of alumni from CMU. Also saw a few folks from Philly and New York. I wasn't expecting to see so many familiar faces but it was really nice to see them. Sam and Sora, I wish you the best for one another and a happy, joyful life. Also hope you have a good time in Aruba. Take lots of pictures and make sure you put them online.

Caught the garter belt...so I won't get married until 6 years from now.

Friday, November 7, 2003

Today I get an email about my upcoming trip to Wallops. Basically the email read that, the program installation there did not go as well as expected, and that when we get there on Monday, we'll basically be walking into a fire. That's got me even more nervous about the trip. I think the first day is really going to suck, but once I get things up and running hopefully it won't be too bad.

Today is the one year anniversary of life for me. One year ago I almost died. One year really isn't such a long time but it feels like it happened so long ago.

Tonight I went to shoot some pool and bowled with Allen & Laura, and John & Esther. It was a lot of fun. Again toward the end of the game we decided to play with our left hand. I heard the discouraging remark that I look more natural left handed. I think I'm going to actually give that a try.

I'm excited about my trip to Wallops Island next week. I kind of wish I had a laptop. I know this sound silly, but I'm actually thinking of bringing my computer with me to the hotel...since they have free broadband connection there. Ooo...I just remember my roommate has a laptop, but I doubt he'll lend it to me. Never hurts to ask I guess.

BTW...check out the Link of the Week.

I woke up early today...around 6am because Chick-fil-a in Delran was having their grand opening. They were giving away to their first 100 customers free Chick-fil-a for a year. When I got there I found out that what they really meant to say was the first 100 grubs, leaches, or free-loaders win free Chick-fil-a for a year. When I got there, there was already a small crowd of people outside the entrance (and I got there right at opening time). As I walked up one of the employees told me they had already given away their last Chick-fil-A for a year at 5am. That means people were camped out before then. They were giving out free Chicken biscuits and raffling off prizes, but as soon as an employee walked out with a tray of sandwiches, it was one man (or shall I say kid) for himself. I think I even heard one man sarcastically squawk like a vulture, because the moment people saw the food, all the kids ran over to the employee. I waited around for 15 minutes hoping to get some food before I asked one of the guys when they would "really" open up to customers. He told me they were busy with their promotion until 11am. I was like screw that and left for work...stopping of course by Burger King to get their sausage, egg & cheese Croissan'wich. Then I realized I should have stopped by McDonald's to try their McGriddle sandwich.

So while I'm at home I eat some lunch (yesterday's leftover from KFC), then I watch some TV. Got sucked up into this program about the American drive-thru of drive-ins. Then cut my hair, showered up and left for work. On my way here I stalled out in my car. I hate when that happens. Doesn't happen often though.

It's almost 1pm and I'm still at home. Gotta work late tonight, which is why I'm still home. Had KFC yesterday for dinner. It was the first time in a long time, and they shorted me 2 pieces of chicken. If you go to KFC...COUNT the pieces they put into the box. I remember wondering if they were going to short me a few pieces. I didn't think they would, but sure enough my hunch was correct. BASTARDS. Oh well. Went to bed kind of early today.

Yesterday I also dropped my car off at the dealer to get it checked up and also to fix some problems. They fixed the squeak on my driver side window, and found out the problem with the air-mixture control is with the cable, not the valve. They ordered the $12 part and I gotta bring it back in in a couple of weeks. They had a shuttle service, which allowed me to go to work while they fixed up my car. I think I liked it better than having a loner car. I guess I like the idea of someone chauffeuring me around.

Also added Avantgo, and wireless web service back onto my phone plan, so I'll be checking email a lot more often from my phone. Oh BTW, that reminds me of something. Over the weekend I got to see the Kyocera 7135 Smartphone. I had my heart set on one because it's got the mp3 player...however there was one thing I didn't count on. It's size. Holy smokes, I thought that since it was a flip phone, it'd be smaller than my phone, but it was HUGE. After seeing that I'm definitely keeping my phone for a lot longer.

Updating this web log has really become a chore. I don't know why the change of heart.

Anyway last night I was sleeping and I thought I heard some loud popping noises. It sounded very unusual, and I kind of got worried. In my half awaken state, the noises sounded like gun shots, muffled by the closed window, so I got up and opened the window, but surprisingly the sounds didn't get louder, which meant the sounds weren't coming from outside but right next to me. I stood silently for a few more seconds and realized the sound were coming from my roommate who was snoring. He was snoring like muffled gun shots. Either that or I was just really dazed. Weird.

So today at work I found out that I'm going to Wallops Island, VA on business. I'll be there all next week, which also means I won't be able to see Late Night with Conan O'Brien. That really sucks because I was really looking forward to it. I had planned this since back in June.
