       The Paulinian Education, reflective of the charism and spirituality of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, envisions an integrated Catholic Filipino men and women, builders of Christ-centered communities, witnessing to the primacy of final union with God, serving the Church and the nations.

       Thus, with Mary, our Model, and Paul, our Patron, we, the Paulinian Educators, sharers in the apostolic mission of the Church to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Good News of salvation, commit ourselves, in cooperative endeavor, to:

1. form responsible, competent persons who are maka-Diyos, maka-tao, maka-buhay and maka-kalikasan;

2. permeate the school systems and processes with gospel values; and

3. uplift the quality of life locally and globally.

       The St. Paul Colleges in Bulacan are some of the educational institutions administered by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres (of French origin) in the Philippines. It is a response to the growing needs and clientele of the Paulinian Apostolate.

       On May 23, 1938, the Provincial Superior of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres sent five sisters with Mother Agnes de St. Anne as the first superior in San Miguel through the invitations of Rev. Fr. Honorio Resurreccion. The sisters managed the Escuela Catholica which was started by the parish. It was then housed in the parish convento. The sisters opened the primary and secondary school and the name Escuela Catholica was changed to San Miguel Catholic School then to San Miguel Catholic Institute in 1940.

       While the students in the institute in San Miguel grew to a large number under the guidance of the sisters, another group of the sisters took over the Bocaue Catholic School on June 12, 1945 after the World War II. The school was renamed St. Paul College of Bocaue in 1947. The schools became a bulwark of quality Catholic education in Bulacan maintaining its commitment to form integrated Catholic Filipino men and women and builders of Christ-centered communities of faith, love, justice and peace.

       In 1968, the institute in San Miguel offered courses in Commerce and Liberal Arts together with the Secretarial Course. The college students held their classes at the nearby house of
Santiago Mossesgeld whose family had move to reside in Manila. Thus, the school assumed the status of a college and was known as St. Paul College of San Miguel. Two sisters from the school took the effort of catechizing in the nearby town, San Rafael giving way to the dawn of another institution, St. Paul School of San Rafael, an offshoot of St. Paul College of San Miguel. It was established after Fr. Graciano invited the sisters to open up a school in his parish. Concurrently, with the commencement of the school in San Rafael, the sisters in Bocaue opened a Kindergarten school in Sta. Maria, Bulacan in 1969. At, present, the school has grown into what is now St. Paul School of Sta. Maria.

       True to the Vision-Mission of the SPC Education Apostolate in the Philippine Province, the institutions continue to soar high as they bravely and courageously face the challenge of Catholic
education in the 21st Century.

HISTORY
VISION-MISSION STATEMENT OF PAULINIAN EDUCATION IN THE PHILIPPINES
PRAYER TO ST. PAUL

Saint Paul, Our father and our model,
Obtain for us the heart of an apostle,
A heart, big as the world;
Give us your ardent zeal for the glory of God.

May our life be consumed after example,
In the midst of work and of fatigue,
Even through sufferings and trials of all kinds.

Help us to respond with joy and generosity
To the call of God
To make Him known and loved.

Obtain for us your burning love for JESUS CHRIST
Who has made of you another Christ

May the Lord live in us
As he lived in you,
For the glory of the Trinity
And the salvation of the world.

Amen
