We envision life-giving communities witnessing to the Trinitarian Relationship, fulfilling their Christian Mission in the World.

In response to the need for foreign missionaries, Father Arnold Janssen established three congregations dedicated to the work of evangelization: in 1875, the Society of the Divine Word (SVD); in 1889, the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS), known in the Philippines as the Holy Spirit Sisters; and in 1896, the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration (SSpSAP), commonly called the Pink Sisters. In 1912, the first SSpS came to the Philippines in Tayum, Abra and the following years established different stations in the country.

In May 1937, four Sisters - Sister Dolorata, Sister Lourdes Malabuyoc, Sister Marista and Sister Vianette - came all the way from Manila in response to the challenge put forth to the SSpS Congregation by the late Archbishop of Manila, Most Rev. Michael 0. Doherty, D.D. to extend its educational apostolate in Bulacan, making Malolos its base for the congregation's school ministry. To the four fell the challenge of laying the foundations of Immaculata Academy of Malolos (IAM). Sister Dolorata was named superior-principal of the community and the elementary school that was existing as a parochial school in Malolos since 1919. And in 1940, the Sisters conducted their mission at the two houses, the house of Don Antonio Bautista and the Tantoco house, this time with the High School department already in operation.

The need for a permanent site for IAM was uppermost in the minds of the Sisters. Thus, the Sisters entered into a lease contract with the Malolos parish priest, the late Fr. Enrique Reyes, allowing the use of the vacant lot on the right wing of the Church's site for the proposed building of IAM. With the help of Dr. Luis Santos, the new edifice joined Malolos skyline in 1940.

In 1980, a piece of land in Sta. Isabel, Malolos was purchased by the congregation where up to the present the Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos (lAM's new name assumed in 1986) continues to commit herself to the formation of the Christian Filipino who must meet the challenges of his/her age. She remains a school where a Catholic atmosphere permeates in the spirit of Truth in Love under the guidance of the Missionary Sisters Servants
of the Holy Spirit.

The Congregation of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit is caught in a mission of the Church to proclaim the good news: THE SAVING LOVE  OF THE TRIUNE GOD TO ALL PEOPLE and make them witnesses of this love to their fellow human beings. The Holy Spirit Academy is one of the instruments of this SSpS mission.

The SSpS spirituality is rooted in the experience of the Triune God: OF BEING LOVED BY THE FATHER, SENT BY THE SON AND EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. It is especially a Trinitarian spirituality lived out in the servanthood to the Spirit of the Father and the Son.
