Hey, who are those people in the bi-focals?
Answer: both of us

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home."

Chief Tecumseh, Shawnee Nation

An old Indian Chief once described his own inner struggles in this manner: "Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights with the good dog all the time." When asked which dog wins, he reflected a moment and replied, "the one I feed the most."

Since 1994 we have been fortunate enough to take yearly vacations with dear friends, friends of Russ's since his high school days in Columbus, Ohio. Now I'm not going to tell you how long ago that was, but it was long ago.

0000famsitelogo.gif (1324 bytes) This is a wonderful site. I have a site that only invited family members can belong to; and each member has their own password.  Not only have I stored many photos at this site for all family members to see, but the family genealogical records are also available through this site.  If you are a family member and don't have a password, send me an email!

0000longwood.gif (1503 bytes) Located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, this is a place not to be missed if you are ever in the area. We attended the fountain/fireworks display in September 1999, and will be going back in 2000. The area is beautiful, and I learned that my Quaker roots trace back to this area ... must be the reason I felt so at home while there.
