Justice

(aka Zippy ... which he is NOT)

Justice, or Zippy as Russ calls him, came to live with us in June, 2001. He was a stray picked up by the Union County, Marysville, OH animal shelter. Due to be put down because his time had run out, a corgi rescue person in Illinois asked that I pull him so that she could foster him until a forever home was found. Well, that forever home ended up being our home! He moved right in to our hearts and we couldn't part with him. Now we can't imagine life without him.

I don't see a bit of corgi in him and call him our miniature Golden. Elderly, well-behaved, housebroken, not a barker, and not a chewer he's a joy to have around. And on occasion he is prone to fits of puppiness ... spinning one way and then the other, bouncing off walls, furniture, people and other dogs ... he's a whirling dirvish that grins the entire time.

If you are considering another dog, please give the shelter dogs, and especially the elderly ones, consideration. Puppies go fast, but the dear old dogs are often left behind. Because of Justice I am forever committed to having an elderly shelter dog in our home.

We love you Justice!
