Festival of Flowers

Flowers Festival took place in our school on September 23. There were presentations and singing performances by children of all Grades, explaining what their bouquets are about. The competition was held in two groups: Grades 1-4, and 5-11. The winner in the first group was 4th Grade, and the second place was awarded to the students of 1-2 Grades who were participating together as a team because of their young age. In the second group the first place was won by the 9th Grade, followed by the 6th Grade. A colourful photo coverage of the event will be available soon.

School's Jubilee

This year our neighbours in Ponory School celebrate its 80th anniversary, so for them September 1st was not only the beginning of a new school year, but a special day to celebrate. They got some gifts, too - a TV set from the local business community, and a clock from the Regional School Board presented by Raisa Mykolaivna Busha. This information was published among other interesting news by our local newspaper "Trybuna Hliboroba". You can find its weekly reviews at our new Local Press page (in Ukrainian only).

Thieves of Knowledge

The historical research paper "Let This History Lesson Never Be Forgotten" submitted to the competition by our teacher M.M.Yarmosh, some time later appeared in the #3, 2008 issue of the Siveryanskiy Litopys magazine under the names of Natalia and Vira Gaidar as its authors. Another local newspaper "Sribnyanschyna" reprinted this publication with the proper references to its source and the "authors". This is how the information reached the true author of the research, who asked us to tell about this whole story here. When the editor of the magazine learned about the incident, he invited the real author to submit her new works.

Teachers' Page is Being Updated

As of September 1, 2008 there are some changes in the list of teachers who work at the school. Our webmaster is now updating this information and makes necessary changes to the Teachers web page of this site.

Creative work does not stop during the summer

In the summer time, when there is no school, learning continues in more creative ways. More than a month is left before we go back to school. "How did I spend the summer time" essay will be one of our first assignments. I want my story to be interesting for all to read and listen. With my photo camera I make illustrations to it. This is one of them, but I have much more. I created my own web site where I put some of my pictures in the album. Welcome to my site.

FEBRUARY

Welcome to the mike

An interesting karaoke contest took place at our school on Friday, February 23rd after classes. Just like in the popular TV program "Karaoke on the square", anyone from the audience had a chance to get to the microphone. Those with good voices had an opportunity to perform on stage with a song of their choice. Winners were determined by the level of cheers and applause from the audience.

To School Again

On the 1st of February a meeting with our school leavers took part in our school. During the party they sang songs and told about the life after school.

Our Winners

During January the 3rd round of students' competitions took place in Chernigiv. Our district was represented by some pupils from our school: Gnyp Evgenia (11 form, history), Prohorchuk Yaryna (8 form, mathematics), Yarmosh Dennis (8 form, chemistry). We do not have official results of the competition yet.

New Year

On the 28th of December the New Year party was held in our school. The pupils of all forms took part in it. After their concert we had a disco.
