MARCH

Women’s Day

Before the 8th of March we had a concert. We greeted our mothers and grandmothers. The students of the 10th grade had the competition show “Miss of the 10th grade”.

The anniversary of Great Kobzar

On March 10 we celebrated the 190th anniversary of T.G. Shevchenko. The students recited his poems, dramatized them. The senior students had the party.

Sports Competitions

We took part in district competitions in draughts and basketball and took the 4th and the 3rd places.

One More Victory

The teachers of our school took part at the regional pedagogical fair and won the 1st place. Congratulations!

FEBRUARY

The concert in Dmytrivka

On the 4th of February our students gave a concert in Dmytrivka. This concert was devoted to our compatriot Grygoriy Vyshnevyi. He is a poet and lives in Australia now. Our students sang songs. The words of those songs were written by Grygoriy Vyshnevyi and other poets. We also performed the play “Mazepa”. The audience enjoyed the concert very much.

Masliana

On February 20 the students of our school celebrated Masliana. This is the holiday when winter and spring meet.The students had a performance and sports competitions. At the end of the holiday they burnt the scarecrow of winter.

How to reach success in life

The students of the 9th grade had the bringing-up lesson “How to reach success in life”. The students exchange their thoughts, discussed the statements of prominent people. This lesson made them to think about the future.

Competitions in Computer Studies

On February 22 the student of the 9th grade took part in the regional competitions in Computer Studies in Chernihiv.

JANUARY

AMATEUR ARTS FESTIVAL

On January 21 there was the School Amateur Arts Festival. The school choir performed six songs. The members of drama circle put on the play “Mazepa”.

WE’VE PAID OUR 8%

At the end of December our school paid our 8 % to the Fund. Our sponsors were Shpyg F.I. – 8500 hr., Oil Company from Pryluky – 8500 hr., Talalayivka District Administration – 3000 hr., A Pirivate Agricultural Society “Zlagoda” - 276 hr.

LET’S UNITE, MY BROTHERS

Such a district competition was held among the pupils this month. And our pupil of the 6-th form Besarab Volodymyr won it, presenting a poem about Ukraine.

AN EXCURSION TO CHERNIHIV AND KYIV

Our tourist- local lore detachment “Horyszont” took the first place in regional competition “Beauty and Pain of Ukraine” held last year. The five pupils and the teacher of History Yarmosh M.M. were invited to Chernihiv for an excursion around Chernihiv and Kyiv. The detachment was also presented with a photo camera.

A NEW YEAR PARTY

We had New Year celebrations on the 26 of December. In the morning the junior pupils had a concert and then the senior pupils had a New Year Party.

A HOLIDAY OF MAID FATE

On the 5-th of December, on the eve of St. Catherine day, the pupils of the 8th grade held “A Holiday of Maid Fate”.

TEACHING METHODS ASSOCIATIONS

On the 18-th of December two meetings of teaching methods district associations took place in our school. The teachers of Ukrainian and school deputy directors visited a lesson of Ukrainian held by our teacher Prokhochuk Olga Vasylivna and the concert organized by our deputy director Nesen Lilia Volodymyrivna. They also discussed some of their problems.

COMPETITION IN SCHOOL SUBJECTS

District competition in school subjects took place in December in Talalayivka school. Some of our pupils showed not bad results: Kyrychok Andrii took the second place in English and the third place in Ukrainian, Burda Lesia – the second place in Physics and Chemistry, Nesen Maryna – the second place in Mathematics, ?kachenko Volodymyr – the third place in English, Prokhorchuk Nastia - the second place in Ukrainian and the third place in History.

THE FIRST REHEARSALS

A chorus which consists of the pupils from the three neighbor rural schools was organized at our school. The conductor of the chorus is our teacher of Music Abovian N.I.
