This is it the big match everyone�s been waiting for the Zanarkand Abes vs. Duggles and you�re the star of the favourite team, so lets go meet the fans. Go and sign a couple of Blitz balls and do a little flirting with the ladies.

During the commentators story you can either listen to it or continue down the road to the Blitz stadium, and if you like chat to some people along the way. Hey more fans! Man they�re going to kill you if they�re not careful fight your way through and prepare for the biggest game of your life.

Ok options, the entire city has just been attacked by a gigantic monster and you can either stay or watch the city crumble to the ground around you or evacuate. Well I�m evacuating. Auran calls it Sin well that�s lovely now we know its name lets just run. Sin launches its spawn at Zanarkand and deploys its fiends. Take out the ones in front don�t bother with the ones behind. You don�t get any AP or gil for killing them. It�s at this point you ask yourself why are we walking towards the big monster?

Hey nice one Auran just got an overdrive (A very powerful move that can be used under special circumstances). Make sure you get the combination correct for extra damage. Get the combo correct and the fiends should all vaporise. Just use physical attacks for now don�t bother with any other type of attack. When Tidus gets his overdrive gauge full you have to pres X when the line gets into the bright area for the extra damage. You don�t need to use any potions during battle wait until its over then heal up.

Once this boss is toast follow Auran. Ok this is just great now what do we do attack the ones in front and any whose wings start to flick. Do what Auran says about attacking that thing. Great idea Auran the whole building is coming down. Well at least he�s helping you up, no wait don�t throw me into that thing wait, stop!

Now you�re swimming in the air. Press O to go down and head north.

Congratulations you�re still alive. Swim north and head to the right. What�s that blue thing on the wall? Read it by pressing X. Ok that made no sense. Maybe you�ll have the chance of reading it again someday. Then head to the let and climb out by some steeps onto a small platform in the water. What�s this sphere? Al Bhed Primers? Who knows it may come in handy sometime. Lets get out of here. Head north and climb out at the end. Use the save point, hey cool your Hp levels have returned to normal handy knowing that. Take the left path and get the item in the chest press X to open it. Then head north along the path. Aarrggh I knew you shouldn�t have eaten all those Zanarkand burgers. Press O to explore wait what�s that? You get into battle with some fiends called Sahagins these are no probs to you 1 hit and they are history. Ha one left but something else wants that one.

There are bad days and there are really bad days this is a really bad day. Hit it go on son give it everything you got. If you Hp gets to 100 use a potion. After 3 hits Tidus decides that running is a good idea.

Phew that was close. Lets start a fire then sing some songs. First you need some Flint. If you explore this area you will find some very useful stuff� Ether, hi-potion, Withered Bouquet and in the upper areas there�s some flint. Go back to the fire and light it up. Next up comes a monster and it wants you for its dinner, this guy seems to have an endless amount of Hp. Hey who are these people one of them comes out and helps you this child has grenades, use Tidus normal attacks and have the girl use her grenades from her use command. Also have the girl steal some ore form the monster.

When you arrive on their boat and get control find the Al Bhed Primer Volume 1 on the south right of the area. Speak to everyone here and they are kind enough to give you potions. You can also learn Cheer in the sphere grid now that monster was kind enough to give you his ability spheres. Now you have learnt this go into the underground/water ruin that they have an obsession with. Follow the chain down to it and you should find a save point, so save. Activate the control panel and the machine comes alive. Hey whats that over there�

Steal all 4 grenades and cast cheer.

Use grenades and normal attacks.

When you get the message saying trigger option press left on the d-pad to see whats there.

When you see pincer attack choose that to trap the beast.

Keep using grenades and normal attacks.

If anyone�s Hp gets low just use a standard potion.

Swim down towards the big airship thing and relax. After a chat and a good meal you discover what has happened to Zanarkand. No, no that�s not right it can�t be.

Now I like this place nice blue ocean clear blue skies and its warm. All right! Blitzball and these guys seem friendly and like your skill. Don�t go to the beach yet head to the secret beach on the right and get the moon crest from the chest. Wakka shows you how to get to his village but don�t forget to explore the water for the chests. When you get to Besiad village explore it a little. Don�t for get to go into the trees on the left for some chests. Go to the inn and speak to the crusaders. Have a nap to get back some of the lost HP. Wakka will soon tell you to go and talk to the priest in the temple. Once you�ve spoken to the priest Wakka will let you sleep a while. When you wake up Wakka has gone. Go to the temple. So there�s a summoner in there and they haven�t come out yet. Looks like its up to you to get them out.

1. Touch the glyph at the end of the corridor. This makes another glyph. Touch the new one to open the doorway.
2. Go down the stairs and take the Glyph Sphere from the wall, use it on the door further along.
3. Now that the door is open remove the sphere from it. Place it in the recess around the corner on the left. A corridor should have appeared.
4. Leave the destruction sphere and proceed around the other corner. Touch the glyph on the right, go in and take the Besiad sphere.
5. Use the Besiad sphere on the opposite doorway. Now go back and get the destruction sphere and place it were the Besiad sphere was. This makes a wall collapse and a chest is available get the chest and congratulations you now have the Rod of Wisdom.
6. Push the statue with the Besiad sphere is straight ahead to exit the trial.

After a long conversation by the fire and after the gift Wakka gives you automatically leave the village. GO BACK INSIDE there�s still a few more things to do in Besiad. Al Bhed Primer Alert!!! The Al Bhed Primer volume 2 is located inside the crusaders lodge (The Inn) on the floor in front of the desk. Also go into the shop and speak to the shopkeeper she mentions that her dog found something strange yesterday. Go into the top right house in Besiad (the cloth shop) and there�s the dog. Speak to it and you�ll find something in its mouth. Its Valefore�s other more powerful overdrive! Energy Blast its far more powerful then his other one energy ray. When you decide to leave Besiad it�s a good idea to give Tidus his brand new Brotherhood sword and Yunna her new Rod of wisdom. Follow the path and you will quickly learn how to fight in battles. As you enter battles may want to switch in every character and have them perform an action even if it�s just defend but you should do this on a second attempt at the game unless you are very confident.

Not really a boss but a good fight. Cast cheer then attack the Ronso 3 times and he�ll stop the battle and walk off. You then discover that he was one of Yunna�s guardians.

Keep going down the path and you�ll fight a Garuda this is the only time you�ll fight one in Besiad but the fight is a good test of your skill. If you summon Valefore you can press right on the d-pad to select its boost command and its overdrive will fill very quickly when its hurt. When you reach the doc speak to everyone they are all so pleased with Lady Yunna�s pilgrimage decision that they have some items for you including a Seekers ring. If you want to you can now backtrack along the path to build up the AP sphere levels. When you are ready board the boat to Kilika. Once on the boat you can talk to people or listen in on the crowd around yunna go talk to both Lulu and Wakka. Al Bhed Primer Alert!!! Go below deck and go into the power room there are these gigantic chicken like lamas called chocobos. Wow that�s original. At the far side of the entrance to the power room there is the Al Bhed Primer volume 3, depending on the version of the game your playing you may not see it but its still there at the very bottom of the screen. Go out and into the next room down here and get the remedy there�s also a briefcase in here go up to it and kick it by pressing X it will deposit potions for you. Then go outside and speak to everyone. Say hello to O�aka your new best friend in the entire world. Give him between 250-500 Gil. Saving your game now is also a god idea. In fact whenever you see a save point from now on saving is usually a good idea. Now that the crowd is bored of Yunna its your time to chat to her. She�s got some very interesting information about Tidu�s father� but ever seen the movie jaws�

First if all if you take out the 3 SinSpawn guys sin will just send over 3 more straight away. So take out 2 in order to reduce the damage don�t keep attacking wave after wave of them because you are not rewarded for doing so. Have Tidus and Kimari take out the SinSpawn then bring out Yunna and summon her aeon use its normal attack sonic wings doesn�t affect sin and its less powerful. Valefore should get an overdrive choose energy blast even though it costs more turns its power is greater then energy ray. If Valefore gets KO then your party should consist of Wakka, Lulu and Yunna. Have Wakka use his standard attack and Lulu use any magic spells Yunna is going to be the healer of the group. After 2000 Hp later it looks like it�s all over�

Like in the previous battle you are given other fiends to deal with but just ignore them Echuilles is the bigger threat, and you don�t get anything for the others. Have Wakka use his Dark attack on Echuilles to stop the drain touch attack. Cast cheer then use physical attacks on Echuilles and this should be enough to stop the beast. The only attack to watch out for I the blender, which can cause problems when Hp is low. If Wakka gets a full overdrive try to get 3 yellows this will cause more damage then the others. Don�t forget to use a phoenix down if a character is KO and to re use Wakka�s dark attack once it wears off.

You have failed. Sin has struck the town of Kilika and destroyed it many are dead but the people are more pleased to see Yunna then morn at this time. Yunna has the ability to end the fallen citizens of Spira and� well its better to just be silent and watch for now. After the sending go get some sleep. Al Bhed Primer Alert!!! The Al Bhed Primer volume IV is located on the counter of the tavern. Go to the far left of the area and there should be a small hut that�s been totally destroyed and there�s a small girl inside it. Go and save her before it collapses. Then return to the tavern and speak to the owner she will say that you can have the item in the chest on the left. Wakka should be around he will tell you that the others are at the forest waiting for you. Before you go there go to the weapon shop and get some new armour or nothing if you don�t want any. Then go to the house opposite to where you saved that girl and get then item from the chest. Then head to the woods. There�s a big monster on the road ahead but don�t go near it just yet. There�s some items here including a luck sphere and a Seeker�s Ring. If you get into fight with a creature called a Ragora use lancet on it and you will get a new ability for Kimari and his overdrive bar should fill up instantly, but don�t use his overdrive yet. If you find the crusaders speak to them all and they will give you some items if you find them again in a different location they will give you different items. Now go up to that big creature called Ochu.

Use Wakka�s silence attack and cast focus and cheer. Ochu is very weak against ire so I lulu gets her overdrive use fire for maximum effect. Then use normal attacks and fire magic, which will give you the upper hand and have Wakka use silence attack if it wears off. If anyone gets poisoned cure it. Make sure Kimari uses his overdrive, which should be full, and this fight is simple. Now here�s the easy way to kill him have Yunna summon Valefore and only use Sonic Wings this will make Ochu skip all his goes. What you can do is at the start make sure everyone performs an action and then summon Valefore and use Sonic wings or an easy kill and everyone then gets the AP.

After the battle speak to the crusaders again and they will give you more items. By now you will have run out of ability spheres so use extract ability on the fiends and after the battle you will receive an ability sphere, you can do this with every type of sphere that you are running low on. Use your map the red arrow will show you where to go. Save your game at the next save point and prepare or battle. (Again).

Cast cheer and focus. Don�t attack the big shell looking creature. Instead focus all attacks on the tentacles. Then use magic on the shell now that the tentacles are gone. When it opens up physical attacks are the way to go or you can summon Valefore and use its regular attacks then use its Energy Blast overdrive when the gauge is full. This battle looks a lot harder then it really is. Don�t worry your strong enough to battle this and win, well so long as you haven�t ran from every fight.

When you have reached the temple you have another setoff trials to do here we go again�

1. Take the Kilika sphere and put it on the recess to unlock the door.
2. Remove the sphere from the recess and put it on the other recess in the far end of the next room. Remove the Kilika sphere and put it on one of the recesses for now.
3. Touch the glyph to open the door and go through it. Take the new Kilika sphere and put it in a recess in the precious room.
4. Take the glyph sphere and place it in the recess of the room that has the wall of flames.
5. Push the block from the previous room into the wall of flames room and push it onto that small flashing light on the floor. If you do something foolish and it all goes wrong just walk over the light to reset the puzzle. Once the block is in position put a Killika sphere on the blocks recess.
6. Take the Kilika sphere from the trench and replace it with that new destruction sphere. Now open the chest to get red armlet and to release the second Anima lock. (Hurray!)
7. Get the other Kilika sphere and use it to open the final doorway. Then take it out and then go through the doorway exit the trails and jump up and down because you�ve done the second trials, beautiful.

There isn�t anything else t do in Kilika but if you found it hard to defeat the Sinspawn I recommend that you spend some time in Kilika�s jungle levelling up first. And if you are low on potions and phoenix downs you should have enough money to purchase some of these items. Head back to the boat. Its destination is now to Luca so board it already. Al Bhed Primer Alert!!! On board you should find Oacka. Talk to him and give him around 500-700 gill. Saving your game is also advisable. Go onto the outside deck and go into the bridge of the ship and the Al Bhed Primer Volume V is on the floor of the bridge. Go to the very back of the boat to see a cut scene with Yunna. Then proceed to the stairs on the outside deck and go up then to see another cut scene with Wakka and Lulu keep going up the stairs to see more cut scenes. Now GO SAVE YOUR GAME!!! Red the next part before you act very important. Head to the front of the boat and there is a blitzball on the deck go up to it and press X. Tidus is now going to attempt a Blitz move called a Jecht Shot its imperative that you learn this move now. What�s going to happen is that sentences will flash up on the screen and you have to press the D Pad in the direction of the sentence and pr4ess the button that it tells you to. This makes Tidus concentrate more and if he kicks the ball you have learned one of his best blitz moves and an extra cut scene. If he misses then reset and try again until you get it right.

After the very, very long cut scene you should head to the locker rooms and learn the basics of Blitzball. Al bhed Primer Alert!!! Yunna will arrive and tell you that Sir Auran is in the bar. Go to the other locker area where the crowd is and there is the Al Bhed Primer volume VI near the goers locker room on the left of the area. Before you go to the bar you should go hunting on the docks.

Dock 1: 600 gill and a Tidal Spear.

Dock 2: 2*Phoenix down.

Dock 3: Nothing.

Dock 4: Nothing.

Dock 5: Hp Sphere, Magic Sphere.

On your travels you should find Oacka. The thunder spear should come in handy and get some of those new items (Echo scream and Eye drops). Now go towards the main part of Luca, the town! As you leave the stadium there is a reporter doing some filming. From here head north. Al bhed Primer Alert!!! Just inside the sphere theatre there is the Al Bhed Primer volume VII. At the moment the prices for the music and movie spheres are way to high so just leave the area for now. Head to the right of the area where the woman was filming and you should find the town. As you enter the town area proceed to the left and there should be a road that goes away from the statue but not into the bar take it to find a chest with lots of gill in it. The go into the Luca bar. Enjoy the cut scene. Ok so Yunna�s been kidnapped and its up to you to save the day. The shops around Lucas town have lots of stuff but nothing that you require. Proceed to the docks and follow the path around to the final dock. You will encounter lots of machina troops they are very weak to lightning magic so equip lightning strike weaponry and have Lulu use lightning magic to make this portion go with a breeze. Once you reach the next save point at around dock 4-5 save your game then backtrack along the docks. The machina troops give a ridiculously high amount of AP and drop rare items including X potions, Hi potions and if you�re lucky lightning strike weaponry. When you think you have levelled up enough save your game and go into the dock and board the Al Bhed boat.

You have 2 ways to defeat this foe. Either by using Lulu�s lightning command on the crane to the right and then have Tidus use his trigger command to instantly kill the boss. (It takes around 3 lightning strikes). Or for the more challenging way use Lulu�s lightning magic to score around 500 HP per turn. Then use cheer and focus to increase your attacking/defence status. If you can before the fight set someone�s overdrive mode to warrior and the rest to stotic. You have to watch out for the robots status changing attacks but eye drops should solve the problem. Then make sure you use potions when the health is low and standard attacks will see you through.

There�s a lot of talking ahead and a lot of talking ahead and a little more talking ahead! Make sure you read through the Blitzball guide. When you finally get to play the game you will find it very, VERY hard, this is the hardest game you will play so save your game before hand. Make sure at the very start you set the controls to manual A so you get control over your players. In my opinion have Tidu�s special blitz technique set to Jecht shot (what do you mean I�m a fool and didn�t learn it! Well oops just that it�s going to be a little harder). (See Blitzball FAQ or more information) Pass the ball to Tidus and have him get as close as possible to the goal without to many people around him, then choose shot and then Jecht shot. If there are 2 players attempting to block they will be knocked out of the way and you get a free shot on the goal and if you�re lucky you will score. If you do concentrate on defence just continue to pass the ball to everyone in your team don�t try anything cool. If you don�t score with that have Tidus and the other striker attempt shots on the goal and use any special shots they have so you have better chances to score. If you don�t score please don�t let the goers score. In the second half set Tidus skill to sphere shot. Have Tidus get as close as possible at the start then use his sphere shot it adds a random amount of shot power so it can easy get through a keeper. If you have scored in the previous half keep on the defence don�t try anything cool remember this game is you�re hardest out of all FFX. If you haven�t scored then get players as close as possible to the goal and SHOOT MAN!!! At around halfway through Wakka will take over Tidus place (sucks huh?) and he has poison shot which is ok but not as good as Tidu�s skills as before if you have scored keep passing don�t o anything cool or smart or you WILL lose. If you haven�t scored then try to have Wakka get as close as possible to the goal and shoot. If you win you get a slightly different FMV after the game and a strength sphere, if you loose you get a loosing FMV and nothing else. Well congratulations you have just got to the end of the first part of this walkthrough. (Now I can take a break, YES!!!! "Whisper, whisper" What do you mean there�s another 10 hours of game play left?)
